Aims: The risk factor of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) recurrence following direct-acting antiviral (DAA) therapy remains unclear. The aims: of this study were to estimate the rate of HCC recurrence following DAA therapy in Korean patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC), and to evaluate the risk factors for HCC recurrence after DAA therapy. Methods: A total of 103 participants with CHC who obtained complete response after HCC treatment were treated with DAA between August 2015 and December 2016 and were followed up until January 2018. HCC treatments were classified as potentially curative included liver resection, radiofrequency ablation, percutaneous ethanol injection, cryoablation and liver transplantation. Results: Among 103 patients, 82 patients had cirrhosis (79.2%) and 98 patients had Child-Pugh class A (95.1%). HCC stage of the patients was 49.6%, 38.9%, 9.7%, and 2.0% at stage I, II, III, and IV, respectively, according to modified UICC classification. Total duration of HCC treatment was median 2.3 (range, 0.03- 143.0) months, and interval from last HCC treatment to start of DAA therapy was median 12.6 (range, 1.5-28.6) months. During the median 15.7 (range, 4.3-29.9) months follow-up, 38 patients (36.9%) experienced tumor recurrence. The median time to recurrence was 22.8 months. The univariate analyses showed that lower platelet count, non-curative HCC treatment, shorter interval from HCC treatment to DAA therapy and longer total HCC treatment duration could be the risk factors for HCC recurrence. In multivariate analysis, shorter interval from HCC treatment to DAA therapy (<12 months) and longer total HCC treatment duration (≥18 months) were found to be the independent risk factors for HCC recurrence (hazard ratio [HR], 2.76; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.21-6.30; P=0.016 and HR, 1.96; 95% CI, 1.00-3.83; P=0.049, respectively). Conclusions: In CHC patients with HCC, DAA therapy should be cautiously performed after sufficient interval without recurrence after complete treatment response.
한국의 거시경제분석 지표가 창업의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

본 연구는 창업활동이 기본적으로 거시경제 환경 하에 발생된다는 사고 아래서 시작되었다. 이와 같이 창업활동이 거시경제 환경 하에 발생되므로 창업의지에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위하여, 거시경제지표(민간소비증감률(실질), 실업률, 국내총투자율, 근원인플레인션율)들로 채용한 변수의 수가 제한적이었기 때문에 거시경제지표들이 GEM의 창업활동 주요지표에 미치는 영향을 보다 넓게 검증하는데 있어서 한계가 있었지만 이들을 통하여 창업활동에 대한 의지를 검증하는 영향요인으로 고려였다. 이런 과정을 거쳐 통계분석을 수행한 결과, 민간소비증감률(실질), 실업률, 근원인플레이션율 등이 GEM의 창업활동 주요지표에 대하여 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Objectives: This study is to observe the changes in the expression of neurotransmitters, such as NO, nNOS, and NE, upon the needle insertion to the sea points, which is one of the five transport points. Methods: Needles were inserted into rats, on both left and right sides of all sea points, including the LU5, PC3, HT3, LI11, TE10, SI8, SP9, LR8, KI10, ST36, GB34, and BL40, which are the sea points of five transport points for 12 meridian vessels. After insertion, needles were retained for five minutes. After the retention, blood was drawn via cardiac puncture, and tissues of each point near meridian vessels were extracted to examine the changes in the expression of NO, nNOS and NE. Results: In terms of the effect in NO production, there was a significant decrease only in the LU5 point, whereas there was a significant increase in the TE10 point alone. In terms of the expression of nNOS within tissues, none of the experimental groups showed significant changes based on the results of immunohistochemistry and western blotting. Regarding the formation of norepinephrine within tissues, the HT3, SP9, and KI10 point showed a significant decrease, while the PC3 and LR8 point showed a significant increase. Production of plasma norepinephrine was significantly increased at the TE10, SP9, LR8, GB34, and BL40 point. Conclusions: The effect of needles applied at the sea points of five transport points of 12 meridian vessels on the functions of NO, nNOS, and NE could be observed, and it is considered that the effect of needle stimulation on nervous system disorders could be studied through additional researches based on this one.

Objectives: The Meridians and acupuncture points are the fundamental theories for acupuncture therapy. They have been associated with nervous system, but It is not well defined. We investigated that the effects of acupuncture at the river points(LU8, HT4, PC5, SP5, KI7, LR4) on the changes in the expression of nNOS, iNOS, eNOS, and NE in rats. Methods: The Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 6 groups each non-acupuncture and acupuncture group , We inserted needle and retained for 5 minutes on both left and right sides of LU8, HT4, PC5, SP5, KI7, LR4 which were the river points of five transport points for 6 yin meridian vessels. After that, blood was drawn via cardiac puncture, and tissues for each point near meridian vessels were extracted to examine the changes in the changes of nNOS, eNOS, iNOS and NE. Results: The LU8 and HT4 group showed a significant decrease on nNOS. In terms of eNOS and iNOS, the LU8 group decreased significantly while the KI7 group increased significantly. However, the experimental groups didn`t show any significant changes on the plasma and tissue norepinephrine without plama NE in SP5 group. Conclusions: The effect on the nNOS, iNOS, eNOS of acupuncture at LU8 and KI7 could be observed, and it is considered that the effect of acupuncture related with on nervous system could be studied by additional researches based on this one.

Objectives: To observe the changes in the expression of nNOS, iNOS, eNOS and NO by the needle insertion on river points, one of the five transport points of three yang meridians of the foot. Methods: Based on rats, needle was inserted on both left and right sides of ST41, BL60 and GB38 and retained for five minutes. After the retention, blood was drawn via cardiac puncture and tissues from each point around meridian vessels were extracted to observe the changes in the expression of nNOS, iNOS, eNOS and NO. Results: In terms of the effect on expression of nNOS within tissues, ST41 showed significant decrease based on the results of immunohistochemistry. In terms of the effect on expression of iNOS within tissues, none of the experimental groups showed any significant change compared to the Normal group. Regarding expression of eNOS within tissues, GB38 showed significant increase based on the results of immunohistochemistry. In terms of the effect on NO creation in tissues, none of the experimental groups showed any significant change compared to the Normal group. Conclusions: The effect of needle insertion on the river points of three yang meridians of the foot on the function of nNOS, iNOS, eNOS and NO could be observed, and based on this study, it is considered that the effect of needle stimulation on the changes of nervous system could be found out through additional research.
The Anoctamin Family Channel Subdued Mediates Thermal Nociception in <i>Drosophila</i>

<P>Calcium-permeable and thermosensitive transient receptor potential (TRP) channels mediate the nociceptive transduction of noxious temperature in <I>Drosophila</I> nociceptors. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms are not completely understood. Here we find that Subdued, a calcium-activated chloride channel of the <I>Drosophila</I> anoctamin family, functions in conjunction with the thermo-TRPs in thermal nociception. Genetic analysis with deletion and the RNAi-mediated reduction of <I>subdued</I> show that <I>subdued</I> is required for thermal nociception in nociceptors. Further genetic analysis of <I>subdued</I> mutant and thermo-TRP mutants show that they interact functionally in thermal nociception. We find that Subdued expressed in heterologous cells mediates a strong chloride conductance in the presence of both heat and calcium ions. Therefore, our analysis suggests that Subdued channels may amplify the nociceptive neuronal firing that is initiated by thermo-TRP channels in response to thermal stimuli.</P>
