Using optically-active 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl (BINAP) as a P-donor, heteroleptic Pt(Ⅱ) compounds (R)-/(S)-(BINAP)Pt(TFBT)2 (H(TFBT) = 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzenethiol) are prepared from (R)-/(S)-(BINAP) and (COD)PtCl2 via (R)-/(S)-(BINAP)PtCl2. These Pt(Ⅱ) compounds are characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic analyses. It is noted that the arylmonothiolate ligand (TFBT) is labile in solution due to the lack of chelate effect.

The morphology change of silver nano-structures has been investigated by changing reagent concentrations, the speed of a magnetic bar, reaction temperature, and reaction time in the polyol process which were carried out in ethylene glycol solutions containing AgNO3 as a metal source and PVP (polyvinylpyrolidone) as a capping agent. Under optimized reactions, silver nanowires or nanocubes were obtained as a major product, and their morphology and composition were identified by FE-SEM and EDX analyses, respectively.

This paper investigates Kalman Filter as the rotor resistance esitmator for the speed sensorless vector control of an induction machine. Computer simulations are performed to prove the usefulness of the Kalman filters as the rotor resistance esitmator for the speed sensorless vector control of the induction machine. In the simulation, the induction machine and the inverter using the switching space vector PWM algorithm are included. The Extended Kalman Filter shows the roboustness to the noises in the measurement signals and the excellent characteristics for the rotor resistance estimator under the various operating conditions.

Air pollutant gases were adsorbed in soils with high adsorption capacity of yellow clay to the high concentration of SO₂ gas(3530PPM) being determined. High adsorbtivity of yellow clay was found to be related to the porosity of yellow clay. Adsorbtivity of yellow clay was as high as that of alumina and silicagel. Electron microscopic scanning identified the porosity. Micro-pore size distribution was determined. X-ray diffraction spectrum suggested the components of yellow clay to be Al₂O₃, SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, CaO, MgO and MnO. DTA-TG diagram showed an endothermic curve at 432.5℃(yellow clay), exothermic curve at 308℃(in the mold) CaO and Fe₂O₃ were assayed by the Atomic absorption spectrophotometer. General bacterial count were conducted. Yellow clay adsorbed SO₂ gas in the range of 0.10-0.27 g/g. Mass-transfer coefficient was in the range of 79.7-332.5/min.
