        컨테이너 터미널 ERP 시스템 구축 방안

        급속한 세계화로 터미널간의 경쟁이 치열해지면서 기존 시설의 효율적인 운영 및 관리가 터미널의 경쟁력과 생산성을 향상시키는 중요한 요소로 부각되고 있다. 하지만 우리나라 컨테이너 터미널은 양적 확장에 치중한 반면 관리와 운영의 효율성에 대해서는 다소 소홀히 해 왔다. 그리고 대부분의 컨테이너 터미널은 자사 운영시스템을 저문 업체에 의뢰하여 개발함으로써 컨테이너 터미널마다 상이한 시스템이 구축되어 시스템의 유지 보수비용이 많이 발생하고 있다. 최근 터미널 개발과 운영 자체가 사업화 되고 있기에 향후 터미널 운영시스템에 대한 수요는 증가할 것이다. 그래서 터미널마다 다른 운영시스템을 표준화하고 국제화한 ERP 형태의 통합 운영 시스템의 개발이 요구된다 하겠다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주문형 방식에 의존하던 컨테이너 터미널 운영시스템의 고비용, 비 통합화, 개발기간의 장기화 등의 단점을 극복하기 위해 컨테이너 터미널 ERP 시스템이란 새로운 개념을 제안한다. 이 컨테이너 터미널 ERP 시스템은 통합된 운영시스템 구축, 개발기간의 단출, 개발비용의 절감, 쉬운 업그레이드를 가능하게 해 컨테이너 터미널의 글로벌 사업에 전략적 도구로써 역할을 하게 될 것으로 기대된다. The major characteristics of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)are enterprise-wide system that covers all the business functions and information resources, integrated database, built-in best industry practice, packaged software and open architecture. ERP enables reduction of system development time, flexibility, standardization of workflow and effective business planning capability. ERP is mainly for manufacturing industry. However, the principles of ERP can also be applied to container terminal. We have clustered the workflow of container terminal, and analyzed the business process to generate the best workflow. The integrated database is designed to eliminate redundancy and keep integration. The core of ERP for container terminal is the planning facility such as berth planning and yard planning. The planning capability is very tightly coupled with data flow from client entities such as shipping companies. The ERP can handles the existing problems of container terminal operation that are mainly caused by lack of integration of whole of information resource in container terminal, ad-hoc and poor planning capability, disconnected and incorrect data from client companies. ERP approach not only van resolve the problems of container terminals but also promote adoption of information systems for container terminals in the world that have not yet implemented terminal operation systems.

        A Study on Information System Improvement for Air Logistics SCM

        Compared with land logistics and sea logistics, air logistics takes not only less transportation time, but also makes just-in-time delivery possible. Because of this, in spite of high freight rates, many shippers make good use of airlines. To cope with borderless competition in this global age, most shippers using air logistics want to receive diverse information including just-in-time cargo delivery and dangerous situation as well as convenience and speed in job handling. Nevertheless, most domestic forwarders, who perform many kinds of important businesses for air logistics, mainly put emphasis on demanding information from overseas partners through their business agreements, that is, focusing on horizontal integration, instead of sharing information or improving job performance among air logistics participants. As a result, it is almost impossible to satisfy the needs of shippers. Airline users want to remove the uncertainties over their cargo movement. And in time of emergency, they want to take immediate measures through speedy information sharing and decision-making. In order to satisfy shipper's needs, all the organizations participating in the air logistics supply chain-cargo senders, cargo receivers, forwarders, transporters, licensed customs brokers, airlines as well as foreign partners-have to set up a vertical cooperation system. For effective air logistics SCM, it is very important to remove overlapping jobs, strengthen the efficiency of job handling, and provide online monitoring on cargo information in order to support decision-making. To this end, this paper has applied the concept of RTE (Real Time Enterprise), a new business management system, which tries to maximize competitiveness by removing many hindrance factors on an ongoing basis in managing and fulfilling core business processes based on up-to-the-minute information. In order to realize RTE-based information system for air logistics SCM, this paper has analyzed the information required by business process and by air logistics participant, and suggested the method for information sharing, point of time for information input and output, and its means.

      • An Efficient Data Collection Algorithm of Active RFID Tags for Ubiquitous Services in Maritime Logistics

        This paper proposes an efficient data collection algorithm for active RFID systems. The algorithm can be used for ubiquitous services in maritime logistics adaptation. Conventional algorithms use slotted aloha in ISO 18000-7 or CSMA/CA in DASH 7 mode 2. They show poor throughput performance because they collect all tags at every wakeup round. The proposed algorithm, adapted to maritime logistics, improved the performance by reading the previously collected tags without collision. The newly joined tags are collected by conventional collection algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has better throughput performance than conventional algorithms.

      • Development of Scheduling Expert System for Shipbuilding Industry

        본 연구에서는 조선공업의 생산일정계획 중에서도 가장 중요한 역할을 담당하는 탑재 일정계획수립 시스템의 개발에 촛점을 맞추었다. 즉 기술적 측면에서 요구되는 탑재순서를 만족시키면서 공정별 조업도를 평준화시키는 일정계획 수립용 전문가 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 계층적 구조를 취하고 있어 계획 수립과정에서의 복잡성을 상당히 줄였을 뿐만 아니라, 실행단계에서의 계획변경을 용이하게 처리할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 Generative Scheduling을 위한 방법론으로서 제약하의 그래프탐색(Constraint Directed Graph Search) 방법을 새로이 개발하여 적용하므로써 조선공업 뿐만 아니라 규모가 큰 생산품(예를 들면 우주선, 비행기 등)의 생산계획 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        A Study on Cooperation Model for Ports in the Northeast Asia

        본 연구에서는 동북아 경제에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 항만물류산업이 서로 협력할 수 있는 새로운 모델, PLCM(Port-Logistics Chain Management)을 제시한다. PLCM이란 한 공급사슬 내에 수직적인 관계의 주체들이 서로 정보를 공유 및 교환하고 협력을 하기 위한 SCM(Supply Chain Management)과는 달리 PLCM은 서로 수평적인 관계에 있는 항만들이 공통의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 그리고, 전체 경쟁력을 향상시키기 위하여 서로 정보를 공유 및 교환하고, 협력하는 모델을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 동북아 물동량에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 항만중에서 부산항, 상해항, 동경항만을 대상으로 PLCM의 개념과 시스템 개발 방안을 제시하였다. 이 시스템은 사용자 요구조사를 기반으로 항만에 관련된 정보를 통합적으로 제공하는 “Northeast Asian Ports Information Integration System”와 각 항만간에 EDI 문서를 교환할 수 있는 “Document Exchange System among Northeast Asian Ports”으로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 이 시스템의 타당성과 적용가능성을 확인하기 위해 중국상해항에서 출항하여 부산항에 입항하는 프로세스에 개념적으로 적용하였다. In this research we present a new conceptual model, PLCM(Port-Logistics Chain Management), which can cooperate each other in the port-logistic industry that occupy a heavy rain in the Northeast Asian economy. PLCM(Port-Logistics Chain Management) synthetically manages the logistic chain and information laying stress on the port. Unlike SCM, which has a vertical relationship between the main groups to cooperate each other, PLCM has a horizontal relationchip among the ports to achieve common purpose and to improve their the whole competitive power. In this research we present a concept of PLCM and a specific plan to develop a system for PLCM targetting Pusan, Shanghai, and Tokyo Port which occupy a heavy rain in the Northeast Asian port industry. This system is composed of integrated information system and EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) document exchange system according to the special quality of user's request information. And in order to prove its feasibility and validity, the case study sailing from Shanghai to Busan has been applied to this study.

        A Study on the Type of Automatic Yard Operation for a Container Terminal

        In order to cope with improvement of labor cost and cargo volume, Korean ports, especially Busan port, are in need of many new facilities. Of course, current facilities should be fully used, and at the same time it needs to make every effort to maximize its productivity as well as cost saving. To this end, this study has decided to focus on automatic yard operation suitable to the domestic container terminal environments, making a survey of many advanced container terminals, trying to find out their common factors, and finally suggesting several alternatives based on the combination of these factors. Also, this study has suggested the present value of initial investment and operating cost by alternative, and at the same time presented the relationship between cargo handling volume and cost/revenue of the optimal alternative, so that it may be of help in decision making.

        Off line ship chartering is done nearly through the brokers. Because of the international scale of chartering market, brokers spend too much times and costs on searching the most appropriate product which the consumers want. In this research, we propose the on-line Charter Product Categorization Model to search the products efficiently in the Cyber Chartering System. This Model will make concerned parties of the ship chartering to get unified product information efficiently, and to select the most appropriate product. In this research, we classified the ship chartering products into categories of cargo, ship type, and sea routes, and defined mutual relation of each products. and we verified that this classification is necessary to search the products through the product searching experiment.
