        <P>The numbers of articles and journals that are published are increasing at a considerable rate, and the published information is growing continuously and fast. Because of this, researches to acquire knowledge automatically have been carried out in the areas of information retrieval, information extraction and text mining. Information retrieval approaches are good for specific topics that the number of related articles is small. But, if the number is bigger, searching skill and knowledge acquisition ability are useless. Though many efforts have been made to extract information from literature, many approaches have concentrated on specific entities, such as proteins, genes and their interactions, and much information is still remained in unstructured text. So, we have developed a system that discovers relations between various categories of biomedical entities. Our system collects abstracts from PubMed by queries representing a topic and visualizes relationship from the collection by automatic information extraction</P>

        사회적 자본과 안전인식 그리고 개인 웰빙에 관한 실증연구1

        본 연구는 이미 실무영역에서 널리 활용되고 있지만, 사회적 자본과 안전의 관계에 대한 연구는 아직까지 진행되고 있지 못하다는 점에 주목하였다. 이에 선행연구의 연구 공백을 메꾸고 정책설계를 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 사회적 자본과 안전인식 나아가 개인 웰빙 간의 관계를 구조방정식모형을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 사적네트워크, 공적네트워크, 사적신뢰, 공적신뢰 모두 개인의 안전인식에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나, 그 강도는 다소 약하게 측정되었으며, 개인의 안전인식과 개인 웰빙간에는 강한 정(+)의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 사적네트워크와 공적신뢰 변수는 개인 웰빙에 긍정적 영향을 주고 있었지만, 공적네트워크는 개인 웰빙에 부정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 개인의 건강, 소득 수준, 그리고 직장과 일상생활의 균형도 중요하지만, 국가기관 및 이웃 간의 네트워크와 신뢰, 그리고 안전인식에서 비롯되는 만족감 또한 개인 웰빙에 상당히 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. This study noted that, even if the relation between social capital and perception of safety has been widely used in the field of public policy, empirical studies on the relation have not yet been conducted. In order to provide information for policy design, this study analyzed the relationship between social capital, perception of safety and subjective well-being using structural equation model(SEM). The study found that social networks, public networks, social trust, and public trust have positive effects on individuals' perception of safety, but their influences are measured low. Continuously, perception of safety has strong positive relation with subjective well-being. Social networks and public trust have also positive effects on subjective well-being, but public networks have negative effects on subjective well-being. Through this study, it found that personal health, income level and work life balance are important to personal well-being, but the satisfaction resulting from social capital and safety is also a significant part of personal well-being.

        New multi-phenylene polymer electrolyte containing hexabenzocoronene interior for PEMFC

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The sulfonated poly(ether sulfone)s containing hexabenzocoronene moiety that is partial graphene structure (SPGHPs) for polymer electrolyte membrane were synthesized and characterized their properties. Graphene is predicted to have remarkable properties, such as high thermal conductivity, superior mechanical properties and excellent electronic transport properties. We apply the advantages of graphene properties to polymer electrolyte membranes for improve the durability and performance. Poly(arylene ether sulfone)s containing hexaphenyls on polymer backbone were synthesized by polycondensation and followed intra-cyclization by friedel–craft reaction with lewis acid (FeCl<SUB>3</SUB>) to form partial graphene structure. The sulfonation was taken selectively on hexabenzocoronen units with concentrated sulfuric acid. The structure properties of the sulfonated polymers were investigated by <SUP>1</SUP>H-NMR spectroscopy. The resulted ion exchange capacities (IEC) were 1.09–1.61 meq./g. The water uptakes were 8.84–15.27% at 30 °C and 18.27%∼42.38% at 80 °C with changing the ion exchange capacities. The SPGHP membranes exhibit proton conductivities (80 °C, RH 90) of 78.3–105.7 mS/cm compared with 106.2 mS/cm of Nafion 211<SUP>®</SUP>.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> We synthesize new polymer electrolyte containing hexabenzocoronene moieties. </LI> <LI> We control degree of sulfonation by hexabenzocoronene moiety. </LI> <LI> Increasing sulfonation level increases proton conductivity. </LI> <LI> Membranes have good performance with chemically stability. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>A series of PGHPs were synthesized by polycondensation and followed intra-cyclization by friedel–craft reaction with lewis acid (FeCl<SUB>3</SUB>) to form partial graphene structure. Graphene is predicted to have remarkable properties, such as high thermal conductivity, superior mechanical properties and excellent electronic transport properties. Compared with Nafion 211<SUP>®</SUP> membrane, these SPGHPs show comparable IECs from 1.09 to 1.61 meq./g, water uptake from 18.27 to 42.38%, proton conductivity from 78.3 to 105.7 mS/cm, maximum power densities from 528 to 631 W/cm<SUP>2</SUP> and high thermal stability. The proton conductivity and power density of SPGHP 25 was almost same to Nafion 211<SUP>®</SUP>. These results showed that the morphology of polymer matrix greatly affected the cell performance, and membrane contained graphene structure have excellent dimensional stability in spite of high IEC.</P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • 이동 데이타베이스 시스템에서 캐쉬 일관성 유지를 위한 효율적인 무효화 보고

        이동 통신 기술의 발전으로, 이동컴퓨팅 환경에서의 데이타 서비스에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이동 호스트 내에 캐쉬가 존재할 경우, 대역폭의 절약 및 빠른 응답시간을 제공할 수 있지만, 캐쉬 일관성을 유지해야하는 부담이 생긴다. 한 셀 내에 존재하는 수 많은 이동 호스트들의 캐쉬 일관성 유지를 위해서 서버(MSS)가 캐쉬 무효화 보고를 일정시간마다 주기적으로 방송하는 방법은 효과적일 수 있다. 기존에 제시된 무효화 보고에서는 갱신된 데이타의 식별자가 사용되지만, 좀 더 적은 양의 대역폭을 소모하는 효율적인 무효화 보고가 되기 위해서는 데이타들을 그룹핑할 수 있는 방안이 연구되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 데이타의 갱신이 데이타베이스 내 인근 지역에서 많이 발생할 경우, 이진 트리를 기반으로 하여 무효화 보고를 생성하는 방법을 제안하고 그 성능을 평가한다. Due to advance of wireless communication technology, data services are gradually needed in mobile computing environment. Caching at a mobile host can reduce the bandwidth requirement and response time, and yet a mobile host must manage cache consistency. It is efficient for a server equipped with the function of MSS to broadcast a periodic invalidation report for managing cache consistency at many mobile hosts in a cell. In the literature, an invalidation report includes data identifiers, but we could reduce the bandwidth conssumption with a more efficient invalidation report which takes advantage of the grouping method. In this paper, we propose an invalidation report based on the binary tree, which is effective when adjacent data update is frequent.

        To meet the world's ever stringent environment regulation, the focus of current research on diesel engines are to reduce the size and to enhance the power of engine at the same time. Such requirement inherently increases the pressure of the combustion chamber. Under this high pressure, the operational pressure range of the current aluminum piston reaches about to the limit requiring a piston with higher operational pressure limit. The steel forged piston is under development as a potential replacement of the aluminum piston. In order to analyze the change of fuel consumption rate and exhaust gas characteristics due to weights and heat transfer characteristics difference between aluminum piston and steel forged piston, fuel consumption rate and exhaust gas characteristics are analyzed using chassis dynamometer. The characteristics of exhaust gas was analyzed through CVS75 mode experiment. Results indicate that the characteristics of exhaust gas of the articulated steel forged piston is similar to that of aluminum alloy piston.

      • A 2x2 MIMO Tri-Band Dual-Mode Direct-Conversion CMOS Transceiver for Worldwide WiMAX/WLAN Applications

        <P>This paper describes a fully integrated 130 nm CMOS 2×2 MIMO tri-band dual-mode transceiver for fixed and mobile WiMAX and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n applications. The proposed transceiver features reduced RF interface (only 4 RF pins) with the wideband circuit topology of the LNA and drive amplifier that minimizes the performance degradation. With carefully chosen LO frequency planning, the transceiver is capable of operating at 2.3-2.7 GHz, 3.3-3.9 GHz, and as well as 5.1-5.9 GHz bands covering whole frequency spectrum of fixed and mobile WiMAX and WLAN. The measured noise figure of the receiver is 3.6-4.2, 4.2-4.7, and 5.4-6.2 dB for each 2/3/5 GHz bands respectively. The measured PLL phase noise from 1 kHz to 10 MHz is 0.5/0.8/0.95 rms degree for 2/3/5 GHz bands respectively. The transceiver ensures low EVM over the wide dynamic range due to linear RX and TX signal paths and low integrated PLL phase noise characteristics.</P>

        Recently, the diesel engine development is actively progressing due to influence on environment pollution and global warming. In this study, in order to analyze the change of power, fuel consumption and exhaust gas performance due to weight and heat transfer characteristics between the aluminum piston, the articulated and the uni-steel forged piston, fuel consumption and exhaust gas characteristics are analyzed using a engine and chassis dynamometer. Results indicate that the combustion characteristics of the articulated steel forged piston are similar to that the uni-steel forged piston.

        In this paper, simulation of a light duty direct injection diesel engine using a three dimensional numerical method is presented in order to analyze flow characteristics, injection, and combustion phenomenon. A solid model is constructed after analyzing the specification of the subject engine, and moving meshes are generated for various crank angles. Flow fields of the combustion chamber generated at the intake stroke are analyzed, and the behavior of swirl and tumble is studied. Heat flow characteristics of the diesel engine is also studied through analyzing injection and combustion considering chemical reaction. The result is used to analyze temperature, velocity, pressure, and exhaust gas component of the combustion chamber.
