염기성 폴리펩티드류에 의한 p-Nitrophenyl Acetate의 가수분해

The hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl acetate was catalytically promoted by the synthetic basic polypeptides. The first-order rate constants were linearly proportional to the tested concentration range (up to 4 mg/ml) of the basic polypeptides. The 1:1 (molar ratio of basic to hydrophobic residue) copolymer showed higher reactivity than the 4:1 copolymer. A plot of the logarithm of the second-order rate constants (Log K_cat/K_R) versus pK_a values of the basic residues showed linear-free-energy -relationship (LFER), and the slope was 0.4.

저자들은 우상복부 통증과 소화불량을 주소로 내원한 83세 여자 환자에서 국내 최초로 담낭 방선균증을 진단하고 치료 관찰 중으로 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative and granulomatous disease, characterized by abscess formation, tissue fibrosis, and draining sinuses. Actinomycosis of the gallbladder is very rare and has not yet been reported in Korea. We report a case of actinomycosis of the gallbladder in an 80-year-old women with history of cholelithiasis for 3 years, preoperatively misidentified as gallbladder cancer. Histologic section of the gallbladder showed Gram-positive branching bacilli compatible with actinomyces. After cholecystectomy, the patient received intravenous ampicillin for 4 days, followed by amoxicillin for 4 months thereafter.
중금속이 nalidixic acid 향균활성에 미치는 효과

In the present study, the metallodrug formation of nalidixic acid, the first member of the quinolone antibiotics with heavy metal ions such as Cu^2+ and Tb^3+ was studied by UV-spectrophotometric titration method, and the effect of the nalidixic acid-metal complex on the growth of both gram negative (E. coli K1100) and gram positive (B. subtilis KCTC1210) bacteria was investigated. It was found that the complex was more effective in the inhibition of the growth than only nalidixic acid alone without the metal. The antibiotic effect of the metallodrug may result from the inhibition of DNA synthesis of the bacteria.

Cu^(2+) -nalidixate 또는 Cu^(2+) -pipemidate 시스템을 H_2O_2 및 아스코르빈산 존재하 방사능-표지된 DNA와 함께 37℃에서 배양시키므로써 산-용해성 분해산물들이 생성되었다. 본성 DNA 대신 변성 DNA를 기질로 쓸 경우 금속-drug 시스템의 DNA 절단활성은 현저하게 감소되었다. 또한 본성 DNA에 대한 절단활성은 DNA에의 전형적 intercalator이며 metalloquinolones의 DNA에의 결합에 대한 경쟁적 방해제가 될 수 있는 ethidium bromide에 의하여 저하되었다. Quinolone 항생제가 금속이온과의 킬레이트 복합체 형성을 통하여 DNA의 두가닥 나사선 염기쌍 사이에의 삽간결합(intercalation)을 할 수 있으며 이와 같은 결합을 이룬 금속복합체는 DNA 가닥에 대한 산화성 절단활성을 가질 수 있음을 시사한다. Incubation of Cu^(2+)-nalidixate or Cu^(2+)-pipemidate system with DNA at 37℃ in the presence of H_2O_2 and ascorbic acid resulted in the production of acid-soluble counts from dadioactively labeled DNA. With denatured DNA as substrate, the cleavage activity of the metalloquinolone systems was far less than with the native DNA. The DNA cleavage activity of metalloquinolones was also decreased by the addition of ethidium bromide, which was known to be a typical intercalator of DNA and was shown to be a competitive inhibitor for the metalloquinolone binding to DNA. The data here suggest the DNA cleavage activity of quinolone antibiotics intercalated into DNA as metal chelate complexes.
Cu^2+-quinolone 복합체 존재하 DNA의 DNase Ⅰ에 대한 가수분해 반응성 증가

특히, 그람음성 세균에 대한 활성을 가지며 Escherichia coli, Proteus 및 Klebsiella류의 감염에 의한 요도염(urinary tract infections)의 임상학적 치료에 유효함이 증명된1-5 합성 항균제인 nalidixic acid(lethy1-1,4-dihydro-7-methyl-4-oxo-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid)를 비롯한 quinolones 항균제의 개발연구가6 국내외 공히 활발하게 진해되고 있음에도 불구하고 그 작용 메커니즘이 제대로 밝혀지지 못하고있는 실정이다. 이들은 DNA합성을 방해 하므로써 향균 기능을 갖는다고 알려져 있으나 그 표적물(target)이 무엇인가에 대하여는 불분명하다. 이들 quinolones는 생리적 pH에서 음이온으로 존재하므로 정전기적 반발로 인하여 다음이온성(polyanionic)인 DNA와의 직접적 상호작용 가능성이 배제되어 왔으며 일반적인 견해는 DNA gyrase subunit A가 nalidixic acid의 특이한 target인 것으로 알려져 있다.
미세먼지(PM<sub>10</sub>) 오염농도와 토지피복간의 상관성 분석을 통한 GWR 모델의 적합성 평가

This study was conducted to evaluate the suitability of the GWR model for the correlation analysis between fine particles(PM10) pollution concentration and land-cover. Especially, it was judged that there is spatial autocorrelation due to the characteristics of fine particles, and the results are compared by applying the ordinary least squares method and the geographically weighted regression analysis model to the same regression analysis model. As a result of the study, comparison of two regression analysis the geographically weighted regression model shows higher explanatory power. The Akaike information criterion correction(AICc) coefficient was also lower in the geographically weighted regression analysis than the ordinary least squares method. Therefore, it is considered that the model was improved through the geographically weighted regression analysis. The Moran index was used to compare the spatial autocorrelation of the standard residuals of the two models. In the standard residual of ordinary least squares method, static correlation appeared and spatial autocorrelation appeared. However, in the standard residuals of the geographically weighted regression analysis, random patterns appeared to control all spatial autocorrelation. This study showed that the suitability of geographically weighted regression analysis in the study of fine particles. As a result of the analysis, it was aimed to contribute to the reduction of the fine particles pollution concentration in Korea by providing basic data for the study of fine particles.
다중시기 위성영상을 이용한 제주도 중산간지역의 토지피복 변화 탐지

This study intended to detect the changes of land-cover in the mid-mountain area of Jeju Island and to analyze the factors of change using multi-temporal satellite images(1981∼2017). The result of this study displayed that waters, farmlands, orchards, urban areas, barelands, and wetlands continually increased from 1981 to 2017, and grasslands consistently decreased. Forests area increased in 1991 and decreased in 2004, then increased again in 2017, and as a result displayed a large increase in the surface area compared to 1981. It is determined that this is based on the cultivation of farmlands, use of tourism facilities and public buildings as lands for architectural sites, construction of roads and infrastructures, and construction of golf courses due to the gradually increased scale of the forestation industry and the declining of the livestock industry. Upon combination of the foregoing results, this study detected the change in the land coverage in the mid-mountain area of Jeju Island using multi-temporal satellite images, and was able to analyze the factors of change based on such results. These results are expected to be used as basic data for the establishment of a plan for the sustainable development and efficient management of the mid-mountain area of Jeju Island.
