In this study, piezoelectric composites with 1-3-0 connectivity have been studied. A piezoelectric ceramic PZT prepared by the Wet-Dry Combination method is used as a filler phase in mixture of the third filler phase and Eccogel polymer matrix. The density and stiffness of 1-3-0 type composites were decreased with increasing the third phase.
Silent Discharge와 TiO₂광촉매 산화반응을 이용한 VOCs 처리

This study has been carried out for evaluation of VOCs treatment let out at the industrial field using a silent discharge process through process approvement and TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation. And it was presented experimental results on the silent discharge plasma and TiO₂ photocatalytic oxidation processes at atmospheric pressure gas streams containing diluted concentrations of benzene, toluene, and xylene out of VOCs. It has shown that each concentration, background gas, flowrate, and applied power have effected on three materials decomposition and byproduct distribution. Analyses of benzene, toluene, xylene and byproduct concentration was carried out by GC-FID.

Microstructure, photoluminescence(PL) spectra, persistent photocurrent(PPC), adsorbates and bias effects on current, and FTIR(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) spectra have been studied for porous silicon(PS) samples fabricated under various preparation conditions. There has been found no relation between pore size of PS and its PL peak energy, but strong relation between metastable effects such as current changes due to light, air and bias and chemical adsorption of air molecules on its surface. These experimental results are explained based upon adsorbates related band scheme.

We review the contextuality of measured values in quantum mechanics from point of view of a conventional interpretation of quantum mechanics. We will, in particular, concentrate on Bell-KS theorem which, seemingly, disproved the existence of a hidden-variable interpretation of quantum mechanics. We introduce ways to accommodate the contextuality so that Bell-Ks theorem no longer holds and therefore the existence of a hidden-variable interpretation becomes possible.
인공 치아우식 발생 모델에서 디지털 방사선 공제술을 이용한 인접면 치아우식증의 진단

Purpose : The purpose of the experiment was to evaluating the diagnostic ability of dental caries detection using digital subtraction in the artificial caries activity model. Materials and Methods : Digital radiographies of five teeth with 8 proximal surfaces were obtained by CCD sensor (Kodak RVG 6100 using a size #2). The digital radiographic images and subtraction images from artificial proximal caries were examined and interpreted. In this study, we proposed novel caries detection method which could diagnose the dental proximal caries from single digital radiographic image. Results : In artificial caries activity model, the range of lesional depth was 572-1,374 μm and the range of lesional area was 36.95-138.52mm². The lesional depth and the area were significantly increased with demineralization time (p<0.001). Furthermore, the proximal caries detection using digital subtraction radiography showed high detection rate compared to the proximal caries examination using simple digital radiograph. Conclusion : The results demonstrated that the digital subtraction radiography from single radiographic image of artificial caries was highly efficient in the detection of dental caries compared to the data from simple digital radiograph.

This is a brief report on a case Acute Intermittent Porphyria observed in the St. Mary's Hospital, Catholic Medical College, Seoul, Korea. The case was originally admitted to the internal medicine department where initial diagnostic workup was made. The case, however, showed various psychoneurotic signs which impressed both internists as well a psychiatrists who saw the case upon consultation that the patient might as well be suffered from hysteria. Consequently the Patient was transfered to the psychiatric free-ward where further observation, family study as well as various laboratory tests thought to necessary, were done. While family study revealed(see pedigree) that one of the patient's aunt and her mother had suffered from the illness which seemed similar with the patient's present illness, and two of her siblings were also found to have suffered from the almost identical illness in the past. Examination of urine also revealed excess in amount of porphobilinogen and uroporphyrin in the urine. Authors stressed the importance 1) interdepartmental consultation, and also of 2) the needs of careful review and evaluation of the results of the basic and further laboratory tests for which paychiatrists tend to pay less attention to those cases with neurotic manifestations.
표면 Micromachining법을 이용한 MIMIC용 ZnO-FBAR(Thin-Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator)의 제조 및 그 특성

FBAR(Thin-Film Bulk Acoustic wave Resonator) is monolithically integrable with semiconductor device, leading to small size and low cost, high Q rf circuit elements with applications in the radar and communications area. FBAR with Air-gap used in high frequency range(GHz range) was fabricated by surface micromachining technique. Zinc Oxide(ZnO) thin film was used as piezoelectric material and was deposited by rf magnetron sputtering. The thickness of ZnO thin film was about 1 μm. Thin metal film(Ni-Cr:50 Å/Au:1000 Å) was used as top and bottom electrodes to reduce acoustic wave loss. The measured resonant frequency of the FBAR was 2.95 GHz and S_(11) value(forward reflection value) was -18.912 dB.
방사선사진의 인덱스-순서 분석을 통한 치아경조직의 탈염화 검출

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop the radiographic technique for detecting the demineralization which is known as indication of dental caries. Materials and Methods : This technique was based on the comparing of multiple radiographs which was irradiated by multiple X-ray spectra. For the meaningful comparing, the multiple radiographs were reconstructed to the dosimetrically consistent images using a standard material. The difference of resulting images of same target with multiple spectra represents the difference of response of material as regards the spectra. Results : We have found about 10% of demineralization of dental hard tissues particularly in the proximal region through the analyzing of differences. Conclusion : Most intriguing thing in this investigation was that the method to analyze difference shows us to an anatomic structure of dental hard tissues even if absolute values of optical density were excluded during the procedures.
The Effect of Stepped Wall of the Graphite Crucible in Top Seeded Solution Growth of SiC Crystal

<P>The crucible design having a stepped wall was introduced for increasing the growth rate of SiC crystal without metal addition in top-seeded solution growth (TSSG) method. The numerical simulation confirmed that new crucible design to increase the solvent-crucible interface could definitely change the temperature distribution and increase the carbon concentration. The simulation result, SiC single crystals were grown with Si solvent at 1900°C using a normal crucible and a stepped crucible to investigate the effect of crucible design having a stepped wall. Grown SiC layers were analyzed using Optical microscopy and Raman spectra. The growth rate in the stepped crucible was finally 66um/h observed.</P>
