The serious vibration of rotors around the critical speed is a problem in rotor systems. To overcome this problem, a single-span twodisk rotor bench was built to simulate the starting process of a rotor. A new Rotor dynamic vibration absorber (RDVA) was designed and installed in the middle of the rotor. A on-off control method based on speed was applied to control the on-off position of the electromagnet in RDVA. Therefore, the natural frequencies between two selected values could be changed. The principles for the vibration control of the rotor system were studied. The vibration suppression performance of an RDVA is a function of its location. The location of the RDVA is subject to several constraints due to the compact structure of the rotor system. As a result, RDVA cannot always be installed at the optimal location of vibration suppression. Accordingly, a study was performed to observe the effect of RDVA location on the vibration suppression performance. Results showed that installing RDVA with on-off control between the two disks not only suppressed the violent vibrations of the rotor at critical speed during the starting process but also avoided the two resonance peaks generated by the traditional absorber. RDVA maintained the vibration of the rotor at a low level in the entire speed range. Furthermore, the vibrations of the rotor system decreased by 20 % when RDVA was installed near the rotor support.

“家” is a frequently used word in Chinese characters. The understanding of the word “家” is of good help to the understanding and usage of Chinese characters as a whole. The evolution on the font style of this word leads to various conjecture and interpretations of the word, and points out that the word “家” was undoubtedly a phonogram when it was first created, yet the phonetic feature was gradually missing along with the variation of that part in the character which symbolized the pronunciation.

This article shows some Chinese character writing mistakes made by Korean students and discusses the causes derived from history and current society of these problems. In the article we can find that Chinese character performsa special function and positions in a unique place in both Korean history and current Korean society. This is one of the main factors that resulted in Chinese character writing problems, including wrongly written characters, mixed application of traditional Chinese character and simplified Chinese character, etc. Besides, the shortage of current Chinese character teaching is also the reason for writing problems. To solve these problems, the article suggests that Chinese language teachers of Korean students should pay more attention to character writing problems and then add Chinese character learning into the whole processes of Chinese language learning.
Prevalence and Prognostic Role of PIK3CA/AKT1 Mutations in Chinese Breast Cancer Patients
Ling Deng,Xuehua Zhu,Yun Sun,Jiemin Wang,Xiaorong Zhong,Jiayuan Li,Min Hu,Hong Zheng 대한암학회 2019 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.51 No.1
Purpose The prevalence of PIK3CA in Chinese breast cancer patients may be underestimated. Therefore, we investigated the distribution of somatic PIK3CA/AKT1mutations in Chinese breast cancer patients and explored their roles in tumor phenotypes and disease prognosis. Materials and Methods Tumors from 507 breast cancer patients were prospectively collected from the West China Hospital between 2008 and 2013. Whole exons of AKT1 and PIK3CAwere detected in freshfrozen tumors using next-generation sequencing, and correlations between PIK3CA/AKT1 mutations and clinicopathological features were analyzed. Results The AKT1mutation was found in 3.6% (18/507) of patients. Tumors from patients that carried the AKT1mutation were estrogen receptor (ER)+/progesterone receptor (PR)+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and were more likely to have high expression levels of Ki67. The prevalence of the PIK3CA mutation was 46.5% (236/507), and 35 patients carried two or three variants of the PIK3CA gene. PIK3CA mutations were associated with ER+/PR+/HER2 status. The prognosis of patients with one mutation in PIK3CA (or PIK3CA/AKT1) was not significantly different than that of patients with wild-type PIK3CA (or PIK3CA/AKT1), while patients with two or three variants in PIK3CA (or PIK3CA/AKT1) exhibited poorer outcomes in the entire group and in all three subgroups (ER+, HER2, Ki67 high), particularly with respect to overall survival. Conclusion A high frequency of somatic PIK3CA mutations was detected in Chinese breast cancer patients. In addition to the mutation frequency, the tumor mutational burden of the PIK3CA and AKT1 genes should also be of concern, as they may be associated with poor prognosis.
Calpain-10 SNP43 and SNP19 Polymorphisms and Colorectal Cancer: a Matched Case-control Study
Hu, Xiao-Qin,Yuan, Ping,Luan, Rong-Sheng,Li, Xiao-Ling,Liu, Wen-Hui,Feng, Fei,Yan, Jin,Yang, Yan-Fang Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.11
Objective: Insulin resistance (IR) is an established risk factor for colorectal cancer (CRC). Given that CRC and IR physiologically overlap and the calpain-10 gene (CAPN10) is a candidate for IR, we explored the association between CAPN10 and CRC risk. Methods: Blood samples of 400 case-control pairs were genotyped, and the lifestyle and dietary habits of these pairs were recorded and collected. Unconditional logistic regression (LR) was used to assess the effects of CAPN10 SNP43 and SNP19, and environmental factors. Both generalized multifactor dimensionality reduction (GMDR) and the classification and regression tree (CART) were used to test gene-environment interactions for CRC risk. Results: The GA+AA genotype of SNP43 and the Del/Ins+Ins/Ins genotype of SNP19 were marginally related to CRC risk (GA+AA: OR = 1.35, 95% CI = 0.92-1.99; Del/Ins+Ins/Ins: OR = 1.31, 95% CI = 0.84-2.04). Notably, a high-order interaction was consistently identified by GMDR and CART analyses. In GMDR, the four-factor interaction model of SNP43, SNP19, red meat consumption, and smoked meat consumption was the best model, with a maximum cross-validation consistency of 10/10 and testing balance accuracy of 0.61 (P < 0.01). In LR, subjects with high red and smoked meat consumption and two risk genotypes had a 6.17-fold CRC risk (95% CI = 2.44-15.6) relative to that of subjects with low red and smoked meat consumption and null risk genotypes. In CART, individuals with high smoked and red meat consumption, SNP19 Del/Ins+Ins/Ins, and SNP43 GA+AA had higher CRC risk (OR = 4.56, 95%CI = 1.94-10.75) than those with low smoked and red meat consumption. Conclusions: Though the single loci of CAPN10 SNP43 and SNP19 are not enough to significantly increase the CRC susceptibility, the combination of SNP43, SNP19, red meat consumption, and smoked meat consumption is associated with elevated risk.

Background The vitamin D receptor (VDR) mediates the pleiotropic biological actions that include osteoporosis, immune responses and androgen synthesis.VDR is widely expressed in testis cells such as Leydig cells, Sertoli cells, and sperm. The levels of steroids are critical for sexual development. In the early stage of steroidogenesis, cholesterol is converted to pregnenolone (precursor of most steroid hormones) by cholesterol side-chain lyase (CYP11A1), which eventually synthesizes the male hormone testosterone. Objective This study aims to reveal how VDR regulates CYP11A1 expression and affects testosterone synthesis in murine Leydig cells. Methods The levels of VDR, CYP11A1 were determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) or western blot. Targeted relationship between VDR and Cyp11a1 was evaluated by dual-luciferase reporter assay. The levels of testosterone concentrations in cell culture media serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Phylogenetic and motif analysis showed that the Cyp11a1 family had sequence loss, which may have special biological functions during evolution. The results of promoter prediction showed that vitamin D response element (VDRE) existed in the upstream promoter region of murine Cyp11a1. Dual-luciferase assay confirmed that VDR could bind candidate VDREs in upstream region of Cyp11a1, and enhance gene expression. Tissue distribution and localizatio analysis showed that Cyp11a1 was mainly expressed in testis, and dominantly existed in murine Leydig cells. Furthermore, over-expression VDR and CYP11A1 significantly increased testosterone synthesis in mice Leydig cells. Conclusions Active vitamin D3 (VD3) and Vdr interference treatment showed that VD3/VDR had a positive regulatory effect on Cyp11a1 expression and testosterone secretion. VDR promotes testosterone synthesis in male mice by up-regulating Cyp11a1 expression, which played an important role for male reproduction.
