Entering a much more environmentally conscious age, green tourism considered as the best choice for local governors to provide economic benefits for local residents as well as to be in harmony with the environment, the culture, the society, and the individual. The study reviewed the concept and background of green tourism and provide the worldwide current situation of green tourism. The key issue of green tourism is how we use the green tourism to achieve the two dilemmas, economic benefits and a harmony with the environment and local culture in countryside. For answering this question, the study discussed a green tourism case in Japan. Based on the result of the case study, four issues were suggested; 1) the consideration of sustainability, 2) local resident participation in the project, 3) accessibility, and 4) marketing and promotion.

Festival and event are the fastest growing industry in the field of tourism. In 1997, a total of 412 festival was held in Korea. In spite of quantitative growhth of festivals, the quality of the festivals has been so problematic. Reviewing the previous research about the festivals in Korea suggests several significant problems including ambiguous theme, lack of creativity and distinction, lack of linkage with other tourism attractions, locality, lack of ability for promotion and marketing, etc. The study suggests to adopting the principles and advantage of ecotourism, an alternative tourism to overcome those limitations.
비젼 제어시스템에 사용된 카메라의 최적개수에 대한 실험적 연구

The vision system model used for this study involves the six parameters that permits a kinds of adaptability in the relationship between the camera space location of manipulable visual cues and the vector of robot joint coordinates is estimated in real time. Also this vision control method requires the number of cameras to transform 2-D camera plane from 3-D physical space, and be used irrespective of location of cameras, if visual cues are displayed in the same camera plane. Thus, this study is to investigate the optimal number of cameras used for the developed vision control system according to the change of the number of cameras. This study is processed in the two ways : a) effectiveness of vision system model b) optimal number of cameras c) These results show the evidence of the adaptability of the developed vision control method using the optimal number of cameras.

The tourism industry is one of the fastest growing industry in the world. In 2010, more than 1bilion people are estimated to participate in any types of travel in the world by WTO. Ecotourism is also fast growing sector in the field of tourism. The study is looking for the possibilities of adopting sustainable tourism concept in the forest community. The study reviews various tourism types suiting for forest community and suggests the best types of tourism and facilities for successful adoption of sustainable tourism concept in the forest community.

At the end of 20th century, the tourism community has been challenged by the problems generated by the mass tourism. One of the alternative ways of avoiding these problems is adopting the ecotourism principles. The purpose of this study is to explain the concept of ecotourism and its background and discuss the main issues of ecotourism and the future of this alternative way of tourism. As a case of ecotourism, this study also provides the ecotourism of Malaysia. For better understanding of Malaysia, some of general and recent trends of tourism in Malaysia are also discussed.
석탄회를 이용한 제올라이트의 합성 및 암모니아성 질소 흡착

국내 석탄 화력발전소에서 폐기되는 석탄회를 이용하여 제올라이트를 합성하였으며, 이를 이용하여 폐수 중 암모니아성 질소 제거용 흡착제로서의 활용가능성을 조사하였다. 실험결과 산에 의한 전처리 과정이 중요하고, 4M-NaOH, 반응시간 4 h, pH 7~9.5에서 합성한 제올라이트가 가장 우수한 흡착성능을 보였으며, 이는 상업용 5A형 제올라이트와 비슷한 80%의 흡착성능을 보였다. Synthetic zeolite was prepared from coal fly ash which had been abandoned from a domestic power plant as wastes, and was investigated as an absorbent for removed of ammonia from the waste water. The results suggest that pH control step in the synthesis process was an important factor for the removal capacity due to the presence of alkaline materials such as CaO and MgO in fly ash. Accordingly the zeolite synthesized at 4 M-NaOH and 4 hrs under controlling the pH7-9.5 showed the removal efficiency of 80% as much as the commertial one at its highest ate.
적외선 흡수 분광법 및 DPC를 이용한 치과용 수복재의 광중합 거동 분석

Mechanical properties of compomers would be obtained mainly by photopolymerization by visible light irradiation. Photopolymerization behavior of two commercial compomers was investigated by FT-IR spectral analysis and differential photocalorimetry(DPC). The results obtained were as follows: 1. From FT-IR analysis, it was found that the compomer products were photocured mainly by radical polymerizations of multifunctional methacrylate monomers. Final conversion values of the polymerizations after exposure to visible light for 60 sec were 67% for Dyract and 59% for Compoglass. 2. Upon exposure the compomers exhibited autoacceleration and autodeceleration, which are usually observed in bulk polymerizations of multifunctional monomers. 3. Dyract showed higher rate of polymerization and conversion of double bond than Compoglass.
SVD 알고리즘 및 HMM을 이용한 얼굴 및 눈 패턴 검출

The studies about automatic pattern detection of the eye and face from the human image acquired by the CCD image sensor have good applicabilities in the industry, home automation, and data communication field. In general, pattern detection method consists of feature based matching and template matching. In feature based matching, the feature vector is extracted with DLM(dynamic linking matching), EBGM(elastic bunch graph matching), HMM(hidden markov model) matching and knowledge based matching using statistical characteristics. In template matching, in general, the template vector is extracted with PCA(principal component analysis). When these method applied in the face and eye detection, each method has its own merits and some disadvantage. Therefore, by combined utilization of SVD(singular value decomposition) and HMM algorithm, is expected that we can selectively make use of each methods advantage and it result in improved detection accuracy. In this paper, we proposed the method for face and eye detection, which was combined by the two algorithms, to be suitable for the high speed image processing using DSP chip or microprocessor. In the beginning, template matching was followed by a template extraction using batch SVD algorithm and then face pattern was classified and recognized by HMM algorithm which is one of feature based matching technique. Finally, eye pattern detection was performed by pattern search neural network utilizing eigeneye image.
