In this central role, there are workers who work in the beauty/health industry, and they play the role of mediators seeking health and beauty. Therefore, this study attempts to verify the experience of workers according to the change in the occupational field of the beauty/health industry with a grounded theory, and investigate a strategy for responding to future occupations. Method: In the selection of research participants in this study, a sample was extracted by adopting purpose-ful sampling, snowball sampling, which is one of the non-probability of artificially sampling the subjects who can contribute to the development of the theory of the research. The research procedure went through five steps: selection of research questions, selection of research participants and data collection, analysis of data, interpretation of data, and report of research results. A theoretical sample was extracted through the proce-dures of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding to find key categories and classify them by type. Results: In the process of naming concepts and confirming the attributes and dimensions of categories through continuous questioning and comparative analysis based on data obtained from participants, 95 con-cepts, 37 subcategories, and 21 categories were identified. Accordingly, with regard to the attitude of ac-ceptance and the search for change, there are four types in classification such as ‘innovators who are active in change, the ‘early majority who pursues economic benefits first, and the ‘late majority’ who do not ignore the innovation itself but join late, and ‘laggards , which ignore change or innovation itself. Conclusion: In terms of job acceptance attitude, there are diverse variables such as job satisfaction, career attitude, and acceptance intention. In this study, it was confirmed that participants attitudes toward change in occupational field of beauty/health industry can be expressed in various ways. Through the results of this study, it is meaningful that this study may present basic information on strategies and methods to cope with changes of the beauty/health industry in the future.

Method: As a research method, the first open-ended survey was conducted, and based on this, preliminary questions were constructed through content analysis, and the second closed-ended survey was conducted. The first survey was conducted on 95 adults with experience in using beauty and health one-person multi-shops, and the second survey was conducted on 212 questionnaires with the same experience, and the final preference de-terminants were derived through exploratory factor analysis and reliability verification. Results: The results of the study were implied by 17 sub-constructs, 6 constructs and 1 other factor. The first three internal preference determinants were identified as manager expertise, customer care environment, and affordability, and the second three external preference determinants were identified as diversity, convenience, and member retention services. Conclusion: Currently, in Korea, the beauty health industry is based on the health industry and the beauty industry is being mixed and converged, creating new demands that are connected to health, culture, emotions, and aesthetic pursuits. USS Monitor: A Monitoring System for Collaborative Ubiquitous Computing Environment

        Kyungran Kang,Jihwan Song,Jinhyung Kim,Heejung Park,We-Duke Cho IEEE 2007 IEEE transactions on consumer electronics Vol.53 No.3

<P>This paper introduces a monitoring system, USS monitor for a collaborative ubiquitous computing environment where the applications collaborate to achieve a service goal. We design USS monitor concerning the visualization of the collaboration and the variability of the applications in the main. The monitoring system includes the mechanisms to collect and visualize the state of the member applications for collaboration as well as the resource state of the machines. In addition, concerning the variability of the applications in the ubiquitous computing environment, we design an interaction protocol and the scalable message format between the monitor and the monitored entities. USS monitor is a set of processes and implemented using Java and C. It is operating in the testbed for collaborative ubiquitous computing environment.</P>

Exploring the Experiences of Automobile Manufacturing Workers Participating in Rehabilitation Exercise Programs after Industrial Accidents

        Hyunhee Kim(Hyunhee Kim),Jaebum Lee(Jaebum Lee),Heejung We(Heejung We) J-INSTITUTE 2022 International Journal of Human & Disaster Vol.7 No.2

Purpose: This study was analyzed with a qualitative research method by applying a phenomenological method to examine the experiences and perceptions and attitudes about health care of workers participating in rehabil-itation exercises after suffering an industrial accident while working in the K automobile manufacturing industry in Korea. Method: As for the selection of research participants, a total of 12 participants were selected as the final research participants, including 1 female and 11 male, who could provide a wealth of information on the subject of the study. For data collection and analysis, Colaizzi's six-step analysis method was used to identify the partic-ipants' experiences and cognitive changes who participated in the rehabilitation program. Also, the participants' facial expressions and actions were recorded so that they could be used as additional observational data and reflected in the results of further research. Results: As a result of the study, 5 categories, 13 topic collections, 32 topics, and 97 construct meanings were finally confirmed. Specifically, the importance of strengthening the intrinsic motivation of the participants was emphasized in order to continuously practice health promotion after an industrial accident in the automobile manufacturing industry. In addition, it appears that a method of self-awareness of the necessity of exercise, giving fun of the complex program, and preventing and managing it in daily life is needed. Conclusion: The contents derived from the results of this study represent the changing perception of workers toward continuous health promotion management and improvement after an industrial accident. Through the research results, it was an opportunity to confirm the changing perception of health care among workers, and it is expected to be actively used in the future by developing rehabilitation exercise programs at the workplace in the automobile industry.

Analysis of Male Semi-Permanent Makeup Image Types using Q-Methodology

        Yoonkyung Sin,Jaebum Lee,Heejung We,Myongnam Park J-INSTITUTE 2022 Protection Convergence Vol.7 No.1

Purpose: It can be said that the human desire to be beautiful has been with the history of mankind along with basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter. In Korean society, the social image of men s appearance is gradu-ally opening up, and the beauty industry for men s semi-permanent makeup is gradually expanding. Therefore, what kind of image people have about men s semi-permanent makeup procedures was checked. Method: In this study, type analysis was conducted using the Q-methodology. A Q-statement was composed through literature analysis and in-depth interview, and a 9-point scale Q-classification was performed by selecting a Q-sample and a P-sample and using the forced classification method. For factor analysis for type classification, principal component analysis was performed using the PC-QUANL program. Results: As a result of the study, three types were derived. Type I was a ‘genderless type’ and showed an open attitude, thinking that there was no distinction between men and women in appearance care. Type II is a ‘consid-eration type’, showing a positive reaction to male appearance care and semi-permanent makeup procedures, and respecting personal preferences. Type III was a ‘conservative thinking type’ and had a negative and conservative reaction to male appearance care and semi-permanent makeup procedures. Conclusion: This study explored the meaning of male and female semi-permanent makeup treatment images of various age groups using the Q-methodology. As a result of the study, an overall perspective on the image of men s semi-permanent makeup was confirmed. It is expected that it will be used as an in-depth and efficient data in future research on men s semi-permanent makeup.
