동중국해와 기니만에서 저염분수로 인한 표층음파채널과 중주파수 음향 특성 분석

양쯔강이나 나이저강과 같은 큰 강의 하구를 통해서 많은 담수가 흘러 들어오는 연안에서는 표층염분이 급격히 낮아져서 음속 변화에 영향을 끼친다. 본 논문에서는 우기의 동중국해 해역과 기니만에서 저염분수로 인해 생성되는 표층음파채널(SSC) 현상을 분석하였다. 동중국해는 KODC(Korea Oceanographic Data Center)의 자료를, 적도 부근의 기니만은 ARGO(Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography) 자료를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 표층음파채널 발생동향을 살펴본 결과 동중국해에서는 10년 동안(2000 ~ 2009) 9개 정점에서 측정된 90회 자료중 표층음파채널은 32회 나타났고 그 중 염분채널은 14회 나타난 반면 기니만에서는 3년 동안(2006 ~ 2009) 20개 정점에서 측정된 20회 자료 중 모든 경우에서 표층음파채널이 발생하였으며 염분채널은 18회 나타났다. 음속구배에 영향을 주는 수온-염분의 기울기를 분석한 결과 동중국해에서는 염분과 수온 변화량 모두 크게 나타나 염분, 수온의 조합에 의한 표층음파채널이 형성되었다. 반면 기니만에서는 혼합층이 잘 발달하여 수온 변화가 적고 염분 변화량이 크게 나타나 주로 염분에 의한 표층음파채널이 형성되었다. 음향 특성 분석 결과 동중국해 정점은 채널두께가 6.5 m, 임계각은 $1.5^{\circ}$, 표층과 수온약층에서 전달손실 차는 11.5 dB로 나타났고, 기니만 정점은 채널두께가 18 ~ 24 m, 임계각은 $4.0{\sim}5.4^{\circ}$, 전달손실 차이는 21.5 ~ 27.9 dB로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 큰 강의 하구나 강수량이 많은 해역에서 저염분수로 인한 음파전달 변화를 이해하기 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Salinity affects sound speed in the low salinity environment, in the seas where freshwater from large rivers and flows into the marginal sea area near the Yangtze River and the Niger River. In this paper, SSC (Surface Sound Channel) formed by low salinity water was investigated in the East China Sea and the Gulf of Guinea of rainy season. The data from KODC (Korea Oceanographic Data Center) in the East China Sea and from ARGO (Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography) in the Gulf of Guinea of the tropical area were used for analysis. SSC haline channel was formed 14 times among 32 SSC occurrences when the 90 data from 9 points were analyzed during a decade (2000 ~ 2009) in the East China Sea. In the Gulf of Guinea, haline channel was formed 18 times among 20 SSC occurrences during 3 years (2006 ~ 2009). When the sound speed gradient was analyzed from temperature-salinity gradient diagram, the gradients of both salinity and temperature affect SSC formation in the East China Sea. In contrast, the salinity gradient mostly affects SSC formation due to the least change of temperature in the well-developed mixed layer in the Gulf of Guinea. Their acoustic characteristics show that channel depth is 6.5 m, critical angle is $1.5^{\circ}$ and difference of transmission loss between surface and thermocline is 11.5 dB in the East China Sea, while channel depth is 18 ~ 24 m, critical angle is $4.0{\sim}5.4^{\circ}$ and difference of transmission loss is 21.5 ~ 27.9 dB in the Gulf of Guinea. These results are expected to be used as a basic understanding of the acoustic transmission changes due to low salinity water at the estuaries and the ocean with heavy precipitation.
치매 및 경도인지장애의 효율적인 선별을 위한 IoT 기기의 설계 및 구현

출산율 저하와 평균수명 연장 등으로 빠르게 고령화 사회가 되고 있는 우리나라는, 노인 질환 또한 큰 문제가 되고 있다. 그 중 관리가 어렵고 많은 사회적 비용을 필요로 하는 치매 환자의 수가 빠르게 증가하고 있으나, 인식 부족, 전문 인력의 부족 등으로 인해 치매의 국가적 관리와 사회적 부담이 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. 이에, 치매의 전단계인 경도인지장애를 효율적으로 선별하는 기기를 개발하였다. 기기 개발을 위해 최신 IoT 기술을 활용하였고, 최적화된 K-HDS를 도입하였으며, 편리한 사용방식과 친화적인 디자인을 적용하였다. 그 결과, 거부감 없고 손쉬운 동작으로 빠르고 편리하게 경도인지장애 등의 증상을 선별할 수 있었다. 이 기기를 활용하면, 경도인지장애 또는 치매의 초기 단계로 의심되는 증상을 효율적으로 선별하여 조기에 치매를 예방하고, 보다 건강한 사회를 만들 수 있을 것이다. Korea is rapidly becoming an aging society due to lower birth rate and longer life expectancy. As elderly diseases are of a serious concern, the number of patients with dementia has been increasing significantly. For now, it has become a nationwide problem, as dementia is difficult to manage and requires a lot of social costs. To solve this, an IoT device has been devised that efficiently screens Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI), the early stage of dementia. To design and implement the device, the latest IoT technology is introduced, the optimized Korean Version of Hasegawa Dementia Scale Revised(K-HDS) is utilized, and convenient service scenario with user-friendly design is applied. As a result, the symptoms of MCI have been screened quickly with convenient operation, which lead to the healthier society by the prevention of dementia.
한국인 대장 선종성용종 환자에서의 MYH 유전자 변이에 대한 연구

Background/Aims: Recently, germ-line mutation in the base-excision-repair gene MYH was identified to cause a novel autosomal recessive form of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). Interestingly, a striking evidence for MYH mutations within different ethnic groups has been demonstrated. We have screened 30 patients with multiple adenomatous polyps for MYH mutations to assess its prevalence and ethnic specificity in Korea. Methods: Thirty patients with multiple adenomatous polyps were examined for MYH mutations. Twenty-one men and 9 women presented at a median age of 62.3 years. The mean number of adenomas per patient was 10.0. Sixteen exonic regions and its intronic sequences were amplified by PCR and subjected to SSCP and DNA sequencing analyses. Results: None of the patients was identified to carry any truncating or sequence alterations in MYH. Our screening for the mutational regions, which were recognized from Caucasian patients or affected Indian families, also failed to detect sequence substitutions. Conclusions: Mutation in MYH may be rarely involved in the pathogenesis of multiple sporadic colorectal adenomas in Korea, although large-scale analysis will be required to clarify the presence of specific MYH variants in a subset of patients and its role for the predisposition of multiple colorectal adenomas in Korea. The purpose of this study was to investigate the sea floor using a seismic profiler in the northern part of Chagwi-do of Jeju Island in order to select the optimal location for the 60-m-class berth of a sea test bed for wave energy converters and provide basic environmental data for designing a suction anchor. The echo types of the seismic profiles were classified based on the study of Kim et al. (2016a), and the location for installing the suction anchor was selected based on a sediment thickness of more than 10 m. The physical properties of the surface sediments were determined by analyzing the sediment samples obtained from 16 grab sample points. Based on the investigation and analysis, we proposed a survey area in the North-Eastern sea as an optimum location for the 60-m-class berth where the suction anchor could be installed.

The purpose of this study is to determine the indicators and the criteria to classify types of train delays of high-speed rail in South Korea. Types of train delays have divided into the chronic delays and the knock-on delays. The Indicators based on relevance, reliability, and comparability were selected with arrival delay rate of over five minutes, median of arrival delays of preceding train and following train, knock-on delay rate of over five minutes, correlation of delay between preceding train and following train on intermediate and last stations, average train headway, average number of passengers per train, and average seat usages. Types of train delays were separated using the Ward’s hierarchical cluster analysis. The criteria for classification of train delay were presented by the Fisher’s linear discriminant. The analysis on the situational characteristics of train delays is as follows. If the train headway in last station is short, the probability of chronic delay is high. If the planned running times of train is short, the seriousness of chronic delay is high. The important causes of train delays are short headway of train, shortly planned running times, delays of preceding train, and the excessive number of passengers per train.
