본고는 저학년 학생들이 쉽게 글자를 틀리게 서사하고, 쉽게 잘못 인식하는 태도에 중점을 두고 서술되었다. 선행 연구의 기초 위에서 字理교수법과 部件교수법을 상호 비교하여 보았다. 모 소학교 2학년의 두 개반을 대상으로 실험을 실시한 결과 字理교수법이 部件교수법보다 학생들의 한자 학습에 더 긍정적 효과를 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 실험결과를 토대로 본고에서는 한자의 조자 방법을 분류하고, 字理교수 학습법을 제안하였다. With regard to the phenomenon that students often make mistakes in writing and recognizing characters in primary school in China, the study further explored han character teaching based on the previous studies, whether the approach of analyzing the principles of formation of han characters is better than approach of character-component teaching. Two classes of primary 2 students participated in the experiment, one being the control group, adopting the approach of character-component teaching; the other one being the experimental group, adopting the approach of analyzing the principles of formation of han characters. The result yielded that, han character teaching by analyzing the principles of formation of han characters can improve student’s ability in recognizing characters better than the traditional one. On that basis, character teaching strategies were sorted out according to the principles of formation of Chinese Characters.

Based on the confirmation of asymmetrical cross-resistance between abamectin and tebufenozide in Plutella xylostella, the present work proved that the cytochrome P450 monooxygenase plays a decisive role in crossresistance, and the expression of various cytochrome P450 (CYP450) genes in different strains was surveyed to elucidate the molecular basis of the underlying mechanisms. Enzyme analysis showed the activity of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase was notable enhanced in the strains resistant to both tebufenozide (3.07-fold) and abamectin (3.37-fold), suggesting that the enhancement of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase is the main detoxification mechanism responsible for the cross-resistance. CYP4M7 (64.58-fold) and CYP6K1 (41.97-fold) had extremely high expression levels in the Teb-R strain, selected using tebufenozide, which was highly resistant to tebufenozide (RR 185.5) and moderately cross-resistant to abamectin (RR 41.0). When this strain was subjected to further selection using abamectin, the resultant Aba-R strain showed a higher expression of CYP6K1 (60.32-fold). However, the expression of CYP4M7 was reduced (10.62-fold). Correspondingly, the Aba-R strain became more resistant to abamectin (RR 593.8) and less resistant to tebufenozide (RR 28.0). Therefore, we concluded that the over expression of CYP4M7 was the main cause for tebufenozide resistance, and that CYP6K1 mainly conferred abamectin resistance. The asymmetrical cross-resistance occurred because tebufenozide selection not only enhanced the expression of CYP4M7, but also that of CYP6K1. This is the first report on the molecular mechanism of asymmetrical cross-resistance between insecticides.

<P>Acanthopanax henryi (Oliv.) Harms has been used in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, and abdominal pain. This study evaluated whether natural compounds isolated from the leaves of A. henryi (Oliv.) Harms could inhibit adipocyte differentiation by regulating transcriptional factors such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP). AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity was also evaluated. Among the several compounds isolated from the leaves of A. henryi (Oliv.) Harms, Glycoside St-C1 and Glycoside St-E2 significantly decreased lipid accumulation and the expressions of PPAR and C/EBP. Glycoside St-C1 and Glycoside St-E2 were found to activate AMPK when they regulated PPAR and C/EBP. Results confirmed that Glycoside St-C1 and Glycoside St-E2 isolated from the leaves of A. henryi (Oliv.) Harms can inhibit adipogenesis through the AMPK-PPAR-C/EBP mechanism. Thus, this study suggests that Glycoside St-C1 and Glycoside St-E2 have a therapeutic effect due to activation of the AMPK.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Although rubrofusarin-6-β-gentiobioside (RFG), which is a component of <I>Cassiae tora</I> seed, could likely regulate hyperlipidemia, its anti-obesity effect and related mechanism have not been elucidated.</P> <P><B>Purpose</B></P> <P>The aim of this study was to examine whether RFG can ameliorate obesity and the mechanism of lipid accumulation regulated by RFG.</P> <P><B>Study design</B></P> <P>In <I>in vitro</I> experiments, we confirmed the anti-adipogenic effect of RFG using 3T3-L1 cells and human adipose mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs). To confirm the anti-obesity effect, High-Fat Diet (HFD)-induced obese mice were selected as a model.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>We investigated anti-adipogenic effects of RFG using MTS assay, Oil Red O Staining, real-time RT-PCR, western blot analysis, and immunofluorescence staining. The anti-obesity effect of RFG was confirmed in HFD-induced mice model using hematoxylin and eosin staining and serum analysis.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>RFG inhibited lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells and hAMSCs by reducing expression of mammalian targets of rapamycin (mTOR), peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)γ, and CCAAT-enhancer binding protein (C/EBP)α. RFG phosphorylated AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in a liver kinase B (LKB) 1-independent manner. Moreover, the anti-adipogenic effect of RFG was blocked by AMPK inhibitor. These results suggest that RFG inhibits lipid accumulation via AMPK signaling. Furthermore, RFG reduced the body weight, size of epididymal white adipose tissue (eWAT), and fatty liver in the mice. RFG also suppressed levels of adipogenic factors PPARγ, C/EBPα, FAS, LPL, and aP2) by activating AMPK in the eWAT and liver.</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>RFG can ameliorate obesity, and thus, could be used as a therapeutic agent for treating obesity.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Development of orange light emitting materials cannot be ignored. In this paper, a novel Tb3+/Sm3+ co-doped P2O5-SrO-BaOZnO-glasses have been prepared. The prepared glasses consisted predominantly of Q2 units, and a small amount of Q0 andQ1 units. For absorption spectra of glasses, eight obvious absorption bands were found. Under the excitation of 402 nm and374 nm xenon lamp, the emission spectra and fluorescence lifetimes of glasses showed big difference. Under the excitation of374 nm xenon lamp, there was significant energy transfer process between Sm3+ and Tb3+ ions in glasses. The fluorescencedecay curves conformed to a double-exponential decay function, the average fluorescence lifetimes of glasses G02 ~ G10 were2.38 ms, 2.67 ms, 1.96 ms, 1.81 ms, and 1.61 ms with the increasing of Sm2O3 content, and the glasses emitted a distinct orangelight. The distinctive properties indicate that this system glass has potential applications in display devices.
Differentiation potential of neural stem cells derived from fetal sheep

Neural stem cells (NSCs) are multipotent stem cells that can differentiate into many cell types in vitro. In this study, we isolated and established an NSC line from fetal Ovis aries. Based on the results of immunofluorescence staining, NSCs expressed Nestin, Pax6 and MAP2. Moreover, a reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction assay was used to biologically characterize the cell line. NSCs were induced to differentiate into neurogenic cells in vitro. They expressed MAP2, glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and myelin basic protein (MBP). In this study, we successfully isolated and cultivated NSCs from the hippocampal tissue of fetal sheep. NSCs not only displayed a self-renewal capacity but also had the potential to differentiate into neurons and glial cells. This study provided valuable experimental data for NSC transplant research.
Emerging roles of centromeric RNAs in centromere formation and function

Background Centromeres are specialized chromosomal domains involved in kinetochore formation and faithful chromosome segregation. Despite a high level of functional conservation, centromeres are not identifed by DNA sequences, but by epigenetic means. Universally, centromeres are typically formed on highly repetitive DNA, which were previously considered to be silent. However, recent studies have shown that transcription occurs in this region, known as centromeric-derived RNAs (cenRNAs). CenRNAs that contribute to fundamental aspects of centromere function have been recently investigated in detail. However, the distribution, behavior and contributions of centromeric transcripts are still poorly understood. Objective The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the roles of cenRNAs in centromere formation and function. Methods We describe the structure and DNA sequence of centromere from yeast to human. In addition, we briefy introduce the roles of cenRNAs in centromere formation and function, kinetochore structure, accurate chromosome segregation, and pericentromeric heterochromatin assembly. Centromeric circular RNAs (circRNAs) and R-loops are rising stars in centromere function. CircRNAs have been successfully identifed in various species with the assistance of high-throughput sequencing and novel computational approaches for non-polyadenylated RNA transcripts. Centromeric R-loops can be identifed by the single-strand DNA ligation-based library preparation technique. But the molecular features and function of these centromeric R-loops and circRNAs are still being investigated. Conclusion In this review, we summarize recent fndings on the epigenetic regulation of cenRNAs across species, which would provide useful information about cenRNAs and interesting hints for further studies.
