        Valuation of ecosystem services in the organic carbon of the Pinus densiflora forest at Mt. Namsan, Seoul Metropolitan City

        Background: Standing biomass, litter production, rate of litter decomposition, amount of litter on forest floor, and amount of soil organic carbon distribution were investigated from March 2016 to November 2018 in order to evaluate the ecosystem value through organic carbon distribution in the Pinus densiflora forest at Namsan, Seoul Metropolitan City. Results: The amount of organic carbon in the Pinus densiflora forest was 261.09 ton C ha<sup>-1</sup> during the research period, and fixed organic carbon in plant through net photosynthesis was 3.2 ton C ha<sup>-1</sup> year<sup>-1</sup>. The organic carbon in plant was 62.77 ton C ha<sup>-1</sup> (24.04%), in litter on the forest floor was 3.65 ton C ha<sup>-1</sup> (1.40%), and in soil was 194.67 ton C ha<sup>-1</sup> (74.56%). The value of plant, litter on forest floor, and soil organic carbon distribution were each 6,277,000 won ha<sup>-1</sup>, 365, 000 won ha<sup>-1</sup>, and 19,467,000 won ha<sup>-1</sup>. The value per ton of fixed organic carbon in plant through net photosynthesis was 320,000 won ha<sup>-1</sup> year<sup>-1</sup> and the value of ecosystem services stored in carbon in the Namsan forest ecosystem was about 26.1 million won ha<sup>-1</sup> for 3 years. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the pine forests of Namsan rapidly decompose leaves due to the high atmospheric temperature and accumulate a large amount of organic carbon in the soil to provide climate control regulatory service function.

        Simplified Effective Compressive Strengths of Columns with Intervening Floor Slabs

        The current design codes discuss the effective compressive strengths of columns, which reflect a decrease in load transfer performance that can occur when columns and slabs have different concrete compressive strengths. The effective compressive strength of a column increases as it is confined by the slab, and the design codes mandate three different effective compressive strengths for interior columns (confinement on four sides), exterior columns (confinement on three sides), and corner columns (confinement on two sides). For both corner and exterior columns, the confinement effect of the slab is significantly smaller than that for the interior column, and there is a more marked decrease in load transfer performance. However, there is still a lack of theoretical studies investigating the effective compressive strengths of the corner and exterior columns. Therefore, based on the analysis model established in previous research, this study has proposed an equation for calculating the effective compressive strengths of the corner, exterior and isolated columns without any confinement effects of the slab. In addition, axial loading tests of isolated columns were conducted and the proposed equation was verified.

        자발성 뇌내혈종환자의 치료에서 뇌정위 수술의 역할

        Computerized tomography(CT) have been available for diagnosis and localization of intracerebral hematoma. CT-guided stereotactic evacuation of spontaneous intracerebral hematoma was performed in 34 cases : 25 basal ganglionic hematomas with or without ventricular perforation, 4 subcortical, 3 thalamic, 1 cerebellar and 1 pontine. The biplane CT image were taken to determine the coordinates of the target point, which was the center of the hematoma. The liquefied or solid portion of the hematoma was aspirated though a burr-hole under local anesthesia. And a silastic tube(3.3㎜ in outer diameter and 2.0㎜ in inner diameter) was then inserted into the center of the hematoma. Immediately after the first trial of hematoma aspiration, urokinase(6000 IU/5㎖ saline) was administered through the tube. Subsequently, aspiration and infusion of urokinase were repeated every 6 or 12 hours until the hematoma was almost completely evacuated. The follow-up results indicate that this procedure was more superior over the conventional craniotomy. This CT-guided stereotactic operation has the following advantages: 1) the procedure is simple and safe : 2) the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia: and 3) the hematoma can be completely drained with the aid of urokinase. This procedure can be used as standard treatment for intracerebral hematoma. We have draw the following conclusions : As a result of the above study. 1) Stereotactic surgery is more effective in the patients with neurologic grade 3 than conservative one(P<0.05). 2) To use of urokinase or perform the early surgery within 24 hours did not seem to be the cause of rebleeding. 3) In the case of pons or cerebellar hemorrhage, stereotactic surgery had definite benefit in the recovery of consciousness even if recovery of motor function was dismal. 4) In patients with spontaneous ICH, the favorable prognostic indicatiors were as follows : the size of hematoma less than 50㎖, no signs of transtentorial herniation and patient's age under 60.

      • 중간세공탄소를 담체로 사용한 직접메탄을 연료전지용 Pt/C 촉매제조

        For the direct methanol fuel cell, the expensive cost of Pt is one of the most important factors. In this study, various kinds of support were synthesized and chosen for highly dispersed catalysts which need less amount of Pt and show higher activity. A mesoporous carbon was selected as a support which has 5 times larger specific surface area than Vulcan XC-72, a commercial support. Such a large surface area gave an advantage in the dispersion of Pt, but a disadvantage in electric conductivity which could be solved by increasing the carbonizaton temperature in the preparation of mesoporous carbon. These prepared mesoporous carbons were used as supports of Pt. Among the catalysts, the catalyst using mesoporous carbon carbonized at 1000 ℃ showed better activity than the catalyst using Vulcan XC-72 as a support showing the best activity. From the XRD analysis, the activity was proportional to the dispersion of Pt.

      • Esmolo과 lidocaine의 혼합사용시 기관내 삽관에 따른 혈압과 심박수에 미치는 영향

        Background: Ultrashort acting β-adrenergic antagonist, esmolol and local anesthetics, lidocaine are well known about effects of hemodynamic stabilization to tracheal intubation. But, the effects of these drugs are still controversial. The aim of the present study is to assess whether a combination of both drugs are more effective than either drug alone. Methods: Forty eight patients, ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ, were randomly assigned to one of four groups (n=12 each): control (Group S), esmolol 1 ㎎/㎏ (Group E), lidocaine 1 ㎎/㎏ (Group L) and esmolol-lidocaine combination (Group M). Anesthesia was induced with thiopental 5 ㎎/㎏ intravenously, and then saline, esmolol, lidocaine and combination drug were administered as an intravenous bolus, and immediately followed by succinylcholine 1.5 ㎎/㎏. Tracheal intubation was done 90 seconds after intravenous injection of drugs, respectively. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart rate were measured before induction and every minute for 5 minutes after tracheal intubation. Results: There was a significant attenuation in systolic, diastolic arterial pressure and heart rates after tracheal intubation in esmolol-lidocaine group compared to other three groups. Conclusions: Combination of esmolol 1 ㎎/㎏ with lidocaine 1 ㎎/㎏ seems to be useful for attenuation of the increases in blood pressure and heart rates compare to either drug alone after tracheal intubation.

      • QoS를 지원하는 라우팅 프로토콜에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we propose a unidirectional mobile Ad Hoc routing protocol based on DSR(Dynamic Source Routing) with QoS(Quality of Service) support and evaluate the performance through simulation. The existing routing protocols, which assume that the links between nodes are bidirectional, provide the convenience for the route discovery and maintenance, but can not support the routing function for the unidirectional links due to the wireless link properly easily changing with time under the real wireless environment. In order to solve such problems, we suggest a unidirectional QoS routing protocol that supports unidirectional links and reduces a waste of communication resources. In addition, we suggest an adaptive QoS support mathod that uses hello message to promptly adapt to the change of the usable communication resources on the rouses and to smoothly perform the route maintenance.

      • 열교환기 구조 변화에 따른 NH₃와 R22의 성능특성연구

        Nowadays HCFCs refrigerant are restricted because it cause depletion of ozone layer. However, natural gases such as ammonia as an organic compound, propane and propylene as hydrocarbon are easy and cheap to obtain as well as environmental. Accordingly, this experiment apply the NH3 and R22 to study the performance characteristic from the superheat control and compare the energy efficiency of two refrigerants from the high performance. The condensing pressure of refrigeration system is increased from 15bar to 16bar and degree of superheat is increased from 0 to 10℃ at each condensing pressure. As the result of experiment, when comparing the each COP, we knew the NH₃ is suitable as the alternative refrigerant of the R22.

      • 액티브 에이전트를 이용한 신뢰성 있는 데이터 전송

        In this paper, we propose an active agent-based method to support reliable data transmission in the mobile ad-hoc network. The active network uses DSR(Dynamic Source Routing) protocol as its basic routing protocol, and uses source and destination nodes as key active nodes. In the mobile ad-hoc network, data routes are frequently changed and the request for route reconfiguration frequently occurs because of movement of mobile nodes. As the result, transmitting data is lost. Reliable dada transmission is more difficult when the mobile nodes move continuously and faster. In order to solve such problem, the source active node prepares for its buffer to store the last data with the flow control for data transmission per destination node. The destination active node requests the re-transmission for data that was not previously received by the destination node with the flow control for data reception per source node. When the source node receives the re-transmission request, it re-transmits the corresponding data that has been stored in its buffer. Since in the process of the re-transmission the loss of the route can be recognized through re-transmission data, pure loss of data becomes fewer. With such side effect, reliability of data transmission is enhanced due to the re-transmission data. As the result of evaluation, we found the proposed method guaranteed reliable data transmission with almost 100% data reception rate for slowly moving mobile ad-hoc network and with more 95% data reception rate for continuously fast moving mobile ad-hoc network.

      • 보디빌딩 선수들의 시합 전·후 신체조성과 체력 및 혈관탄성도 변화와 영양섭취 실태연구

        The purpose of this study were to investigate a study of body composition, physical fitness, change of vascular compliance and nutrient intake status a before and after bodybuilders match. In this study, participants were 6 bodybuilders. The analyzed data brought about the following results by using paired t-test with SPSS 20.0. The results of the research were as follows. In to body weight and BMI were significantly increased but sit and reach were significantly decreased after match. There was non significantly difference in vascular compliance. Calories, lipids, carbohydrates, fiber and ash had significantly increased after match than before match. Calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, vitamin A, retinol, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, niacin, vitamin C, vitamin E had significantly increased after match than before match. Therefore, Bodybuilders need correct regular diet habit and exercise prescription after match. 본 연구는 B광역시 남자 보디빌딩 선수 6명을 대상으로 신체조성, 체력, 혈관탄성도 및 영양소 섭취상태를 시합 전·후를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 자료처리는 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 paired t-test를 실시하였고, 연구결과에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 시합전에 비해 시합후에 체중과 BMI는 유의하게 증가하였고, 유연성은 유의하게 감소하였고, 혈관탄성도는 유의한 변화가 없었다. 그리고 열량, 지질, 당질, 식이섬유 및 회분은 시합 전 보다 시합 후 유의하게 증가하였다. 또한, 칼슘, 철분, 나트륨, 칼륨, 비타민 A, 레티놀, 비타민 B1, 비타민 B6, 나이아신, 비타민 C, 비타민 E는 시합 전 보다 시합 후 유의하게 증가하였다. 이상을 종합하여 볼 때, 시합 전보다 시합 후에 영양소의 섭취증가로 인해 체중이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있으며, 이상의 연구 결과에서 시합전, 후의 식습관, 맞춤형 운동처방 및 체계적인 컨디셔닝 관리가 요구된다.

        In this paper, the plasma lighting system(PLS) excited by the commercial high power magnetron is developed. The design concepts are based on maximizing the huninous efficacy in conjunction with the miniaturization of waveguide system Furthermore the fine tuning is simplified by using only one stub, and the impedance matching is maximized by introducing the tapering technique. The experimental results show that the luminous efficacy can be dramatically improved by the proposed design method.
