The development of transparent conductive electrode is a goal for optoelectronics technologies, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), touch panels, and solar cells. Silver nanowire (AgNW) films have been studied as the most promising flexible transparent electrodes. The wire-wire junction resistance in the AgNW film, which is a critical parameter to the electrical performance are studying to decrease sheet resistance of AgNW. In this study, we developed transparent electrode composed of silver nanowire networks welded by Ag nanoparticles reduced from commercial Ag ink. The hybrid thin films consisting of AgNWs and AgNPs exhibited low sheet resistance and high transmittance. Based on Joule-Heating effect, thin films were fabricated at a low temperature, there is no oxidation on the surface of the films and without loss light transmission because of welding directly at the junction. Hence, flexible organic light emitting diodes (OLED) with AgNW electrode were also fabricated and get high performance.
