CFRP composite has a lot of merits such as mechanical characteristic, light weight, and thermal resistance. For these merits CFRP is applied to so many industrial area. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48plies specimen with the φ8, φ10, φ12mm cemented carbide drill. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, stack thickness and drill diameter.

In recent days the more use of CFRP composite is in the airplane, automobile, and sport goods, etc., the more necessity of research on it in this engineering. In this research, the CFRP composite specimen are fabricated by 48 CFRP plies with 8 orientation angles, and the specimens are drilled with 3 tools. The results are analyzed with consideration of cutting force, type of tools and fabrication condition. The specimens with each drilling conditions are also investigated with SEM. The optimal drilling conditions such as drill types and cutting force with respect to the fabricating condition are studied.

In order for the composite materials to be used in the air& structures or machine elements, accurate surfaces for bearing mounting or joints must be provided, which require precise machining. In this paper, the relationship between the stack thickness and drill diameter is examined from the drilling experiment, which is the drilling of 16, 32, 48plies specimen with the φ8, φ10, φ12mm cemented carbide drill. The mixture of solidifying agent was composed of cement and fly ash, and fly ash used to solidify the lead sludge was commercially pretreated fly ash emitted from power plant for sale. The compressive strength of cement mortar solidified lead sludge was increased by adding fly ash up to 46∼62%, the result of pozzolanic reaction. When replaced the cement by 10% of commercial fly ash, the solid showed the highest value of 210㎏/㎠, and at that time the solidification condition was 0.55 of the water/cement ratio and curing for 14 days. At early curing time, solidified lead sludge was showed lower compressive strength because of the interference against the hydration of cement, but the compressive strength was recovered to be more than 140 ㎏/㎠ later 14 days after the curing regardless with the amounts of replaced fly ash

This study was performed for water quality management of Yonggi Lake Park in Changwon City. The results are as follows; The water quality of the lake was deteriorated during summer season because of algal blooming. It was estimated that existing treatment capacity of the lake water was not sufficient to meet the target lake water quality. And so the lake water circulation period, 40 days should be shorten to below 30 days by increasing the treatment capacity. Fountain and air supply facilities for 02 supply and mixing caused rather resuspension of solid settled at the bottom of the lake. It was also evident that the extended detention of water in the lake resulted in water quality deterioration. Consequently it is important to supply high quality water from other sources. Especially lower temperature water had better effect on improvement of the water quality.

The corrosion rate of copper pipe used in distribution system was studied in presence of chloride, sulfate and fluoride ions, respectively. It was compared with test results using mixtures of sulfate and chloride at concentrations similar to those of tap water in Gyeongnam area. The corrosion rate of copper pipe was higher in the presence of sulfate than chloride showing two fold higher rate. In contrast copper concentration in synthetic water containing chloride was rather higher than in the presence sulfate. Fluoride was generally considered less aggressive toward corrosion of pipes, but corrosion rate and the concentration of copper were relatively large values. During potentiostatic anodic polarisation a relatively large current was producted in the chloride containing solutions.
O_3/활성탄에 의한 고도정수처리에 미치는 기존처리공정의 영향에 관한 연구

The effect of conventional process, such as coagulation, sedimentation and rapid sand filtration, on O_3/GAC was evaluated for stable operation of the advanced treatment process. Five years long term water quality data was analyzed for a water treatment plant adopting O_3/GAC. Treatment efficiency of unit process in the plant was also monitored for 7 months(from 2000. 11 to 2001. 5) to investigate the pre-treatment effect on the operation of the process. Despite significant seasonal variation of raw water quality, treated water of the plant was good enough to meet drinking water quality standard. However effluent turbidity (1NTU) of sand filter was relatively high compared to the guideline that turbidity of filtered water should be lower than 0.3NTU for the effluent turbidity, 2NTU, of sedimentation tank. It was observed that effluent organic compound of sand filter gave an adverse effect on the running time of GAC filter. This phenomenon could be deduced from the correlation of the effluent water quality of sand filter and GAC in terms of TOC and UV-254. Therefore more sophisticated operation, such as adopting enhanced coagulation, should be given to the conventional process for stable and extended operation of GAC filter to produce safer drinking water even at deteriorated raw water quality.
效率的인 環境敎育을 위한 敎授·學習方法의 改善에 關限 硏究 : 中學校를 中心으로 in Middle School

This paper focuses on the development of desirable curriculum for environmental education in middel school. From the questionnaire investigation for teachers and students of 10 middle schools in Gyeongnam-do, it is desirable that the eduaction program should be practical and experiential rather than the current cramming lecture. In addition, environmental education program should be introduced as a compulsory subject through continuous and systematic curriculum. A training program is necessary for specialist group teaching environmental issues too. Institution of regional environmental education center is an appropriate meausre to develop such program. It will be helpful for open communication between school and social community. National support is necessarily required to promote research activity and to develop innovative teaching materials in such center. Consequently the national environmental network will be constructed and effective environmental education will be implemented.
폐타이어 담체를 이용한 유동상 생물막공정의 고도처리 효율에 관한 연구

Organic and nutrient removal was investigated in a full scale fluidized phase biofilm process of 800m-(3)/day using waste tire media for domestic wastewater treatment. Various internal reciculation ratio was set as an operation condition to enhance nitrogen removal efficiency. The process operation results are as follows. Significantly high removal efficiency above 94% could be obtained by the biofilm process in terms of organics(BOD&COD_(Mn)) and suspended solid(SS). Relatively low nitrogen removal of 53% was observed at the internal recycling 100% of influent flow rate. However the removal efficiency could be increased to 70% at 200% internal recycling. The process showed also considerably high T-P removal efficiency of 80% producing effluent concentration of 0.68mg/L for 3.38mg/L influent.
