Regulators of G-protein signaling (RGS) proteins regulate certain G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR)-mediated signaling pathways. The GABAB receptor (GABABR) is a GPCR that plays a role in the stress response. Previous studies indicate that acute immobilization stress (AIS) decreases RGS4 in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) and hypothalamus (HY) and suggest the possibility of a signal complex composed of RGS4 and GABABR. Therefore, in the present study, we tested whether RGS4 associates with GABABR in these brain regions. We found the co-localization of RGS4 and GABABR subtypes in the PFC and HY using double immunohistochemistry and confirmed a direct association between GABAB2R and RGS4 proteins using co-immunoprecipitation. Furthermore, we found that AIS decreased the amount of RGS4 bound to GABAB2R and the number of double-positive cells. These results indicate that GABABR forms a signal complex with RGS4 and suggests that RGS4 is a regulator of GABABR. [BMB Reports 2014; 47(6): 324-329]
Acute Stress Responsive RGS Proteins in the Mouse Brain

Regulator of G-protein signaling (RGS) proteins play an important role in G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling and the activity of some GPCRs is modulated via RGS protein levels during stress response. The aim of this study was to investigate changes in RGS protein mRNA expressions in the mouse brain after 2h restraint stress. The mRNA level of 19 RGS proteins was analyzed using real-time PCR in six brain regions, which included the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, hypothalamus, striatum, and pituitary gland, from control and stressed mouse. We found that the level of mRNA of each RGS varied according to brain region and that two to eight RGS proteins exhibited changes in mRNA levels in each brain region by restraint stress. It was also revealed that RGS4 protein amount was consistent with mRNA level, indicating RGS4 protein may have regulatory roles in the acute stress response.
초등학교 1, 2, 3학년 아동의 읽기이해검사도구 개발연구

본 연구는 초등학교 1, 2, 3학년 아동에게 적합한 구문수준의 읽기이해 능력을 측정할 수 있는 검사를 개발하고 개발한 구문의 동질성과 이해문제의 문항난이도, 문항변별도를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 개발한 구문은 각 학년별 4편씩(이야기글 2편, 설명글 2편), 총 12편으로 구성되었으며, 구문이해문제는 각 구문별 8문항씩 총 96문항으로 구성되었다. 개발된 검사도구는 두 번에 걸쳐독서지수를 검증하고 교사설문을 실시하여 학년수준에 적합한지를 검증하였고, 초등학교 1, 2, 3학년 아동 78명을 대상으로 읽기이해검사를 실시하여 구문의 동질성과 문항난이도, 문항변별도를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 개발한 구문은 1학년과 2학년의 이야기글을 제외하고 모든 구문이 각 학년, 구문유형별로 동질한 것으로 나타났다. 각 구문별 이해문제들의 문항난이도는 1, 2, 3학년 총 96문항 중에서 61 문항은 적절한 난이도였고 25문항은 쉬운 난이도, 10문항은 어려운 난이도의 문항으로 다양한 난이도를 포함하고 있었다. 개발한 구문별 이해문제의 문항변별도는 1, 2, 3학년 총 96문항 중에서 82문항이 적절한 수준의 변별도를 보여 전체 문항의 대부분이 피험자의 능력을 잘 변별해주는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of the present study was to develop the reading comprehension inventory for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade elementary school students. Researchers developed reading comprehension passages along with comprehension questions and analyzed homogeneity of passages, item difficulty and item discrimination of the developed inventory. First, twelve reading comprehension passages, four for each primary grade levels, were developed. Four passages for each grade level were consisted of two narrative texts and two explanatory texts. Each passages were followed by eight comprehension questions which were designed to ask locating or recalling information, integrating or interpreting information, as well as critique or evaluate the text contents. The designated grade level of passages and questions were validated by the teacher surveys and READ-LQ(Lectio Quotient) computations. The developed inventory was administered to 78 primary grade students in order to investigate the homogeneity of passages of the same grade level passages as well as item difficulty and discrimination. Our results showed that all developed passages had homogeneity except for the first and second grade narrative passages. Most comprehension questions had adequate item difficulty and discrimination. Issues around READ-LQ and the genre of comprehension passages were discussed.

The damages on buildings and urban facilities caused by disaster from climatic change is unpredictable. Moreover, the scale and power of disaster are totally different from what we have undergone. so it's almost hard to cope with. According to climate changing, the grade of natural disaster getting worth. It is really dangerous fact in point that natural disaster like flood causes to cut off the urban energy supply, municipal lifeline, and bring the emergency to city. As the sudden urbanization and centralization, damage is serious. It's an important theme to secure its function in the urban environmental engineering field about buildings which are thought it's important just like business, a hospital and a government office in case of emergency. It's possible to utilize a concept of a safe household and apply it by a casting plan of emergency energy demand and supply in an urban area for high urban function town‘s preparation in the time of disaster. In this paper, when natural disaster in an urban area with climatic change, for proposing to introduce a concept of safe house and safe housing as a building including a concept of special dwelling of the restored dimension. we search not also maintenance of function in a building but the order of priority-like plot of emergency energy demand and supply between the building in the city and we'll prepare basic material in a safe area and a safe house as management system of the city unit about emergency energy securement and system of supply and demand.
