      • Research on Tagging Recommendation Algorithm Based on Relevance and Diversity

        The traditional recommendation algorithms of image tagging ignore the diversity between the visual content information and the tags recommended, which causes the recommended results have the problem of tag ambiguity, tag redundancy and so on. Therefore, this paper proposes the recommendation algorithm of image tagging based on relevance and diversity. The algorithm defines the relevance and diversity of a label set, and selects a label set which can reasonably balance the relevance and diversity to recommend to the user. The experimental results show that this algorithm improves the relevance between the recommended results and the image, and makes the recommended results be able to reflect the image content thoroughly at the same time.

      • Research of NCS Algorithm in Cloud Demand System

        In order to reduce the bandwidth overhead and the node request rejection rate of the cloud video-on-demand server, this paper builds the cloud auxiliary framework and proposes the neighbors and chunks selection algorithm, which contains the node selection sub-algorithm and the block download sub-algorithm. The buffer-based node selection algorithm treats the download point as the benchmark to effectively find the neighbor nodes that can provide the video data, and the buffer-based block download algorithm calculates the required minimum buffer values of the two different kinds of block download strategies under the framework, which provides the theoretical basis for the download method of the video block. The experimental results show that the algorithm in this paper achieves good effects in the aspects of the bandwidth overhead of the server, the request rejection rate and the download rate.

        Purification and Characterization of a β-Glucosidase from Aspergillus niger and Its Application in the Hydrolysis of Geniposide to Genipin

        An extracellular β-glucosidase from Aspergillus niger Au0847 was purified to homogeneity by precipitation with ammonium sulfate, anion exchange, and gel filtration. The purified protein was composed of two subunits with molecular masses of 110 and 120 kDa. Au0847 β-glucosidase exhibited relatively high thermostability and pH stability, and its highest activity was obtained at 65°C and pH 4.6, respectively. As a potential metalloprotein, its enzymatic activity was potently stimulated by manganese ion and DTT. The β-glucosidase displayed avid affinity and high catalytic efficiency for geniposide. Au0847 β-glucosidase has potential value as an industrial enzyme for the hydrolysis of geniposide to genipin.

        Thermal Deformation Isolation for Satellite Platforms via Flexible Connections

        Thermal deformation is a serious issue for many space structures when travelling around Earth. This paper presents a method to achieve extremely low thermal deformation in satellite platforms with prototype applications. In addition to using the traditional nearzero coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) material, the platform succeeded in comparison to the traditional energy-consuming methods mainly due to the unique isolation of the residual thermal expansion by flexible connections. First, the design of the composite with near-zero CTE is briefly introduced and used to develop the precision satellite platform. Next, the isolation mechanism to minimize the thermal deformation is presented. Then, the deformation isolation is detailed through the “flexible connecting” method. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated by finite element (FE) analyses and further verified with a prototype. The experimental results from the prototype recorded a 90% reduction in comparison to the traditional platforms in the wrapping deformation of the payload panel, which was measured by projection moiré methods. The thermal wrapping deformation decreased from 1.013 mm using the rigid connection to 0.104 mm using the flexible connection. This result proves that the proposed method is effective for a high-precision satellite structure and has considerable potential in engineering applications.

      • A REVIEW OF STUDIES ON OCEAN TIDES AND MEAN SEA LEVEL IN CHINA

        The observation, analysis, prediction and dynamical studies on ocean tides and tidal currents in China in the recent 50 years are reviewed in the present paper. The major achievements and problems are reported. During recent 50 years, many tidal stations have been established and many short-period current observations have been carried out. The confusion in gauge zero existing in historical tidal data is considered as a most serious problem, and long-period current observations are still limited. Methods for analyzing and predicting tides and tidal currents have been developed. Tide and tidal current tables and charts published are sufficient for practical applications. Progresses in theoretical studies have also been achieved, in particular, on the effects of the friction on tides and tidal currents. Numerical modeling has become a popular measure in tidal prediction. Many studies on relative sea level rise have been carried out. Most of investigations indicate that the rising rates are around zero for the northern China coast and in the range of 1-2 ㎜/a for the southern China coast. However, acquisition of more reliable long-term sea level data is still required.

        Intranasally Administered Adjunctive Dexmedetomidine Reduces Perioperative Anesthetic Requirements in General Anesthesia

        Purpose: Intranasal dexmedetomidine is an effective sedative for premedication and is regularly used to reduce preoperative tension and anxiety in children. This study aimed to assess the effect of intranasally adjunctive dexmedetomidine on perioperativesedative and analgesic requirements in adults. Materials and Methods: Patients were randomly divided into four groups to receive preoperative administration of saline, intranasaldexmedetomidine 1 μg/kg and 2 μg/kg, and intravenous dexmedetomidine 1 μg/kg, respectively. Propofol and remifentanil were target-controlled infused to maintain intraoperative bispectral index at 45–55 and blood pressure at baseline value±20%. Sufentanil was administered to maintain postoperative visual analogue scale ≤3. Perioperative anesthetics requirements were compared using nonparametric tests. Results: Intranasal dexmedetomidine significantly attenuated propofol requirements for anesthesia induction and maintenance in a dose-dependent manner. Patients given intranasal dexmedetomidine 2 μg/kg required less remifentanil for anesthesia maintenance. The first postoperative request for sufentanil analgesia was delayed in patients given intranasal dexmedetomidine 2 μg/kg. The anesthetics-sparing effect of intranasal dexmedetomidine was significantly weaker than intravenous dexmedetomidine at the same dose of 1 μg/kg. The incidences of adverse events, including hemodynamic instability and delayed recovery, were comparablewith and without intranasal dexmedetomidine. Conclusion: Intranasal administration of dexmedetomidine can reduce perioperative anesthetic requirements, and a dose of dexmedetomidine 2 μg/kg produces a better effect in adults. The anesthetics-sparing effect of intranasal dexmedetomidine 1 μg/kg is less than that with the same intravenous dose of dexmedetomidine.

        Study on post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder based on 2 DOF coupling flutter theory

        The post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder is studied in this paper. Firstly, the nonlinear aerodynamic self-excited forces of the bridge deck cross section were investigated by CFD dynamic mesh technique and then the nonlinear flutter derivatives were identified on this basis. Secondly, based on the 2-degree-of-freedom (DOF) coupling flutter theory, the torsional amplitude and the nonlinear flutter derivatives were introduced into the traditional direct flutter calculation method, and the original program was improved to the "post-flutter state analysis program" so that it can predict not only the critical flutter velocity but also the movement of the girder in the post-flutter state. Finally, wind tunnel tests were set to verify the method proposed in this paper. The results show that the effect of vertical amplitude on the nonlinear flutter derivatives is negligible, but the torsional amplitude is not; with the increase of wind speed, the post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder includes four stages, namely, "little amplitude zone", "step amplitude zone", "linearly growing amplitude zone" and "divergence zone"; damping ratio has limited effect on the critical flutter velocity and the steady state response in the post-flutter state; after flutter occurs, the vibration form is a single frequency vibration coupled with torsional and vertical DOF.

      • SIRT7 Exhibits Oncogenic Potential in Human Ovarian Cancer Cells

        Background: Sirtuin7 (SIRT7) is a type of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide oxidized form (NAD+)-dependent deacetylase and the least understood member of the sirtuins family; it is implicated in various processes, such as aging, DNA damage repair and cell signaling transduction. There is some evidence that SIRT7 may function as a tumor trigger for human malignancy. Here, we aimed to explore the biological function of SIRT7 in ovarian carcinoma cells and its potential mechanism. Materials and Methods: Expression of SIRT7 in ovarian cancer cell lines was detected by western blotting. Transduced cell lines with SIRT7 knockdown or overexpression were constructed. Cell viability, cologenic, apoptosis-associated and motility assays were performed to elucidate the biological function of SIRT7 in ovarian cancer cells. Results: SIRT7 demonstrated a higher level in ovarian cancer cell lines compared with normal cells. On the one hand, down-regulation of SIRT7 significantly reduced ovarian cancer cell growth, repressed colony formation and increased cancer cell apoptosis; on the other hand, up-regulation promoted the migration of cancer cells. Additionally, repression of SIRT7 also induced change in apoptosis-related molecules and subunits of the NF-${\kappa}B$ family. Conclusions: In the present study, our data indicated that SIRT7 might play a role of oncogene in ovarian malignancy and be a potential therapeutic target.

      • Detection and Prognostic Analysis of Serum Protein Expression in Esophageal Squamous Cell Cancer

        Objective: To assess differences in serum proteins in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients. Methods: 144 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients and 50 healthy volunteers were included in this study, with surface-enhanced laser desorption-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry and weak cation exchange magnetic beads. Follow-up allowed the relations between serum proteins and prognosis to be analyzed. Results: A total of 93 protein peaks were detected (molecular weight range: 1500-30000), 10 demonstrating statistically significant differences. There were no differences in protein peaks between 92 patients with a survival more than 2 years and 52 patients with survival less than 2 years. There were two significantly different protein peaks between 45 stage II patients with a survival more than 2 years and 14 stage II patients with survival less than 2 years. There was one significantly different protein peak between 22 stage III patients with a survival more than 2 years and 29 stage III patients with survival less than 2 years. Conclusion: Differences of serum proteins in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma are related to prognosis of patients. The protein fingerprint can be helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
