Convincing evidence indicates that malignant transformation of cells is frequently associated with abnormalities in HLA class I antigen expression and/or function. These abnormalities appear to play a role in the clinical course of the disease, since they are associated with histopahtological characteristics of malignant lesions and with disease-free interval nad survival.

본 논문은 빌헬름 폰 훔볼트(Willhelm von Humboldt)의 사상의 주요 개념인‘개인(Individum, individual man)’에 초점을 두고 논의를 진행한다. 훔볼트의‘개인’개념은 그의 국가관에 관한 정치적 성찰 뿐 아니라, 그의 모든 연구에서, 언어와 인류를 정의하고 분석하는데 중요하게 다뤄지고 있다. 훔볼트의‘개인’개념의 분석을 통해 각각의 개인은 인류의 경험적인 표상이고, 존중받고 양성되어야 할 다양한 개인적인 표상이 존재한다는 것 논의가 드러난다. 정치적인 담론을 보면, 훔 볼트는 프랑스 혁명에 의해 발생한 정치적 사건과 상황을 언급하면서 서로 다른 경험적 표상들을 가진 개인들을 기반으로 성립된 국가에 관한 논의들을 전개하였다. 다양성은 개인이나 사회의 부정적 요소가 아니다. 오히려 다양성은 문화적 사회를 형성하는데 도움이 되는 긍정적인 성격을 지니고 있다. 이런 목적에서 시민의 교육은 개인과 공공의 안전을 보장하는 국가의 이념에 관련있는 가장 중요한 요소 중의 하나이다. The present paper wants to focus its attention on a concept, which is very important and relevant to understand the thought of Wilhelm von Humboldt, i.e. the concept of the individual man. This concept is very important not only in his political reflections on the rule of the State, but also in all his works, in the ones which deal with the definition and the analysis of Language and in the anthropological ones. In the analysis of this concept it emerges that every individual man is for Humboldt not only the empirical manifestation of the Mankind, but also that there are a variety of invidual manifestations which are to be respected and promoted. In a political discourse: referring to his political situation and the events caused by the French Revolution, Humboldt developped the idea of a State based on the individual in his different empirical manifestations. Diversity is not a negative aspect of the individual man or of the society, on the contrary a positive characteristic which can help to build a cultivated society. For this goal the education (Bildung) of the citizens is one of the most important elements connected with the Idea of a State, whose function is only to guarantee the individual and public security of its citizens.

<P>The requirements of the DIII-D physics program have led to the development of many operational control results with direct relevance to ITER. These include new algorithms for robust and sustained stabilization of neoclassical tearing modes with electron cyclotron current drive, model-based controllers for stabilization of the resistive wall mode in the presence of ELMs, coupled linear–nonlinear algorithms to provide good dynamic axisymmetric control while avoiding coil current limits, and adaptation of the DIII-D plasma control system (PCS) to operate next-generation superconducting tokamaks. Development of integrated plasma control (IPC), a systematic approach to model-based design and controller verification, has enabled successful experimental application of high reliability control algorithms requiring a minimum of machine operations time for testing and tuning. The DIII-D PCS hardware and software and its versions adapted for other devices can be connected to IPC simulations to confirm control function prior to experimental use. This capability has been important in control system implementation for tokamaks under construction and is expected to be critical for ITER.</P>
Cracking of Fiber-Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete due to Restrained Shrinkage

Fiber-reinforced self-compacting concrete (FRSCC) is a new type of concrete mix that can mitigate two opposing weaknesses: poor workability in fiber-reinforced concrete and cracking resistance in plain SCC concrete. This study focused on early-age cracking of FRSCC due to restrained drying shrinkage, one of the most common causes of cracking. In order to investigate the effect of fiber on shrinkage cracking of FRSCC, ring shrinkage tests were performed for polypropylene and steel fiber-reinforced SCC. In addition, finite element analyses for those specimens were carried out considering drying shrinkage based on moisture diffusion, creep, cracking resistance of concrete, and the effect of fiber. The analysis results were verified via a comparison between the measured and calculated crack width. From the test and analysis results, the effectiveness of fiber with respect to reducing cracking was confirmed and some salient features on the shrinkage cracking of FRSCC were obtained.
Compact Self-Loaded Marx Generator with Integrated Pulse-forming Line for an Ultra-Wideband Source

The paper presents a study on the development of an autonomous, repetitive, pulsed power generator based on a self-loaded Marx generator. Three French entities: CEA, Technix and LGE (Pau University), developed a tightly integrated unit, including a battery pack, an intermediate dc/dc converter, a high-voltage dc/dc converter, a control system, and a high pulse repetition frequency (PRF) Marx generator with its integrated pulse-forming line (PFL). This complete device is able to deliver 150 kV pulses into a 50 Ω impedance with the following principle characteristics: a rise time of about 650 ps, a fall time lower than 300 ps, a pulse width of about 1.6 ns, a repetition rate of 100 Hz and a burst duration of 10 s. The details of this repetitive peak power generator are presented in this paper. The results of preliminary tests are also included.
Control of plasma profiles in DIII-D discharges

<P>Active control of plasma profiles is an essential requirement for operating within plasma stability limits, for steady-state operation and for optimization of the plasma performance. In DIII-D, plasma profiles have been actively controlled using various actuators in the following manner: (a) real time closed loop control of the <I>q</I> profile evolution using electron cyclotron heating and neutral beam injection as actuators; (b) active control of the density and pressure profiles in quiescent H-mode and quiescent double barrier plasmas using electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) and pellet injection; (c) active control of the edge profiles to suppress edge localized modes using resonant magnetic perturbation with toroidal mode number <I>n</I> = 3, (d) real time control of the current density profile to suppress neoclassical tearing modes using localized deposition of co-ECCD.</P>
