Considering production and marketing coordination between supply chain enterprises, this paper specifies a multi-agent supply chain concurrent negotiation model for two-stage supply chain in the supply chain environment. Coordinator is used to search optimal proposals based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) and send these proposals to other threads. Proposal strategies based on retention value and time are put forward by learning retention value of rivals through Parzen-window estimation. Simulation experiment is conducted to test negotiation performance of the model. Compared with ordinary models, the model makes two improvements as follows: (1)PSO is inserted into coordinator to improve negotiation efficiency; (2) Proposal strategies are effectively supported by Parzen-window estimation and enable agents to consider the retention values of rivals. Further researches need to be done to study trust relationship between agents and influence of external environment on supply chain negotiation solution.
Ginsenoside Rg1 alleviates A deposition by inhibiting NADPH oxidase 2 activation in APP/PS1 mice

Background: Ginsenoside Rg1 (Rg1), an active ingredient in ginseng, may be a potential agent for thetreatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, the protective effect of Rg1 on neurodegeneration in ADand its mechanism of action are still incompletely understood. Methods: Wild type (WT) and APP/PS1 AD mice, from 6 to 9 months old, were used in the experiment. The open field test (OFT) and Morris water maze (MWM) were used to detect behavioral changes. Neuronal damage was assessed by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) and Nissl staining. Immunofluorescence,western blotting, and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (q-PCR) were used toexamine postsynaptic density 95 (PSD95) expression, amyloid beta (Ab) deposition, Tau and phosphorylatedTau (p-Tau) expression, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and NAPDH oxidase 2(NOX2) expression. Results: Rg1 treatment for 12 weeks significantly ameliorated cognitive impairments and neuronaldamage and decreased the p-Tau level, amyloid precursor protein (APP) expression, and Ab generation inAPP/PS1 mice. Meanwhile, Rg1 treatment significantly decreased the ROS level and NOX2 expression inthe hippocampus and cortex of APP/PS1 mice. Conclusions: Rg1 alleviates cognitive impairments, neuronal damage, and reduce Ab deposition byinhibiting NOX2 activation in APP/PS1 mice.

<P><B><I>Background/Aims:</I></B> Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most lethal malignant tumors with poor prognosis. Conventional chemotherapies including gemcitabine have failed owing to weak response and side effects. Hence novel treatment regimens are urgently needed to improve the therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we aimed to assess the anticancer activity of melatonin and sorafenib as a novel therapy against PDAC. <B><I>Methods:</I></B> We used various apoptosis assay and PDAC xenograft model to assess anticancer effect <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I>. We applied phospho-receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) array and phospho-tyrosine kinase array to explore the mechanism of the combined therapy. Western blotting, proximity ligation assay, and immunoprecipitation assay were also performed for validation. <B><I>Results:</I></B> Melatonin synergized with sorafenib to suppress the growth of PDAC both <I>in vitro</I> and <I>in vivo</I>. The effect was due to increased apoptosis rate of PDAC cells that was accompanied by mitochondria dysfunction. The enhanced anticancer efficacy by the co-treatment could be explained by blockade of PDGFR-β/STAT3 signaling pathway and melatonin receptor (MT)-mediated STAT3. <B><I>Conclusions:</I></B> Melatonin reinforces the anticancer activity of sorafenib by downregulation of PDGFR-β/STAT3 signaling pathway and melatonin receptor (MT)-mediated STAT3. The combination of the two agents might be a potential therapeutic strategy for treating PDAC.</P>

Purpose: Five members of the zinc finger of the cerebellum (ZIC) family—ZIC1, ZIC2, ZIC3, ZIC4, and ZIC5—have been shown to be involved in various carcinomas. Here, we aimed to explore the clinicopathologic and prognostic roles of ZIC family members in invasive breast cancer patients using immunohistochemical analysis, western blotting analysis, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Methods: A total of 241 female invasive breast cancer patients who underwent radical mastectomy between 2009 and 2011 were enrolled. ZIC proteins in 241 pairs of breast tumors and corresponding normal tissues were investigated using immunohistochemistry and the clinicopathologic roles of proteins were analyzed using Pearson’s chi-square test. Kaplan-Meier curves and Cox regression analysis were also used to analyze the prognostic value of the ZIC proteins. In addition, 12 pairs of fresh-frozen breast tumors and matched normal tissues were used in the western blotting analysis and RT-qPCR. Results: Only ZIC1 expression in normal tissues was obviously higher than that in tumors (p<0.001). On multivariate analysis, ZIC1 expression (in overall survival analysis: hazard ratio [HR], 0.405, 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.233–0.702, p=0.001; in disease-free survival analysis: HR, 0.395, 95% CI, 0.234–0.669, p=0.001) was identified as a prognostic indicator of invasive breast cancer. Conclusion: ZIC1, but not the other proteins, was obviously decreased in breast tumors and associated with clinicopathologic factors. Thus, ZIC1 might be a novel indicator to predict the overall and disease-free survival of invasive breast cancer patients.
RAMS evaluation for a steel-truss arch high-speed railway bridge based on SHM system

The evaluation theory of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) as a mature theory of state evaluation in the railway engineering, can be well used to the evaluation, management, and maintenance of complicated structure like the long-span bridge structures on the high-speed railway. Taking a typical steel-truss arch bridge on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, the Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, this paper developed a new method of state evaluation for the existing steel-truss arch high-speed railway bridge. The evaluation framework of serving state for the bridge structure is presented based on the RAMS theory. According to the failure-risk, safety/availability, maintenance of bridge members, the state evaluation method of each monitoring item is presented. The weights of the performance items and the monitoring items in all evaluation levels are obtained using the analytic hierarchy process. Finally, the comprehensive serving state of bridge structure is hierarchical evaluated.

In the competition of market economy, enterprises gradually transform from resource dependence to talent endowment. Human capital is the core advantage of enterprise development, and the development and training of human resources will to a large extent become the competitive advantage of enterprises in the market. The comprehensive optimization of the distribution of human resources, the strengthening of talent training and ability development, and the rational use of talent advantages are conducive to the realization of the strategic planning of enterprises. Therefore, the training of talents has become an important part of the enterprise's human resources management. This paper analyzes the relationship between training structure and training pass rate from three aspects.
State Feedback H∞ Control for a Class of Nonlinear Systems Using Partition of Unity Method

The system model is nonlinear with respect to all its variables while the output model is linear. The nonlinear system model is firstly converted into an equivalent linear model with error by using partition of unity method. The stability with decay rate and the disturbance attenuation for the nonlinear system are discussed based on the equivalent model. A state feedback H∞ controller is then proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).
