Traumatic Experiences and Mental Health of North Korean Refugees in South Korea

Objective: This study was conducted at Hanawon-a government sponsored educational facility for the settlement of North Korean refugees during their initial phase in South Korea-in 2004 to explore their mental health status and traumatic experiences in North Korea and during their escape period. Methods: A survey was conducted in November 2004 with 62 North Korean refugees at Hanawon, and the Trauma Checklist was used to measure their traumatic experiences. To measure their psychological-mental health status, the Personality Assessment Inventory was administered. Results: In comparison with the traumatic experiences of the North Korean refugees found in the study conducted in 2001 at Hanawon using the same methods, the current study showed a relatively lower frequency of traumatic experiences among the participants. The Personality Assessment Inventory results revealed that the study participants scored higher than average South Koreans in all clinical scales. Particularly, their mania (62.51) and schizophrenia (61.75) scores were above 60, a clinically meaningful score. In the gender comparison, the males exhibited meaningfully higher levels of alcohol problem, non-support, and warmth scale scores. Conclusion: Compared to the 2001 study, the overall traumatic experiences among North Korean refugees participated in this study. But continous support is necessary for their successful adaptation to South Korean Society have declined. The North Korean refugees at Hanawon experienced difficulties maintaining their mental health and the men in particular requested more intensive care and support for this purpose.
일개 S상급종합병원 내 직종별 직무만족에 미치는 영향요인 비교 -허즈버그의 동기 및 위생요인 중심으로

병원은 전문적인 기술을 가진 사람들이 모여서 구성된 특수한 조직이다. 다양한 직무 분야와 사회적 관심 분야의 변화로 직업의식 및 직무만족에도 많은 변화가 있을 것이고, 조직이 지속적인 성장을 하기 위해서는 이를 효율적으로 잘 관리할 필요가 있다. 직종별 직무만족에 미치는 영향요인을 분석함으로써 효율적인 운영방안에 필요한 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 2015년 4월 1일부터 4월 15일까지 서울 소재 일개 S상급종합병원에 근무하고 있는 직원(할당표본 400명)을 대상으로 하였다. 영향요인별 타당도와 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였고, 전반적인 직무만족과 영향요인에서 보건직이 가장 만족 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 직무만족 영향요인 분석에서 의사직은 성취감, 보수, 근무환경, 간호직은 성취감, 보수, 직무안정성, 보건직은 성취감, 근무환경, 행정직은 성취감, 대인관계, 근무환경, 직무안정성이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 동기요인뿐만 아니라 위생요인에서도 직무만족에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 관계임을 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 직무에 대한 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 동기요인과 위생요인 모두를 고려해서 체계적인 관리가 필요하다고 판단된다. There will be many changes in job consciousness and job satisfaction due to changes in various job fields and social interests, and it is necessary to manage them efficiently for the organization to continue to grow. By analyzing factors influencing job satisfaction by occupation, the study intended to provide the necessary data for an efficient management plan. 400 Employees working at S tertiary hospital in Seoul from April 1st to April 15th, 2015 were targeted. An analysis of the validity and reliability of the influencing factors was conducted, and the allied health profession which showed the highest level of satisfaction in overall job satisfaction and influencing factors were identified. It was found that achievement, compensation and working environment in the medical doctor profession, achievement, compensation and job stability in the nursing profession, achievement and working environment in the allied health profession, achievement, interpersonal relationships, working environment, and job stability in the administrative profession, were the main influencing factors for job satisfaction. It can be seen that not only motivation factors but also hygiene factors affect job satisfaction. To increase the level of satisfaction, it is judged that systematic management of hygiene factors as well as motivation factors is necessary. A New Lignan Glycoside from the Stem Bark of Styrax japonica S. et Z.

A new lignan glycoside was isolated from the stem bark of Styrax japonica (Styracaceae). This lignan glycoside, named styraxjaponoside C (1), was identified by spectroscopic methods. In addition, six known compounds, arctiin (2), pinoresinol-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), matairesinoside (4), methylsyringin (5), syringin (6), and egonol (7) were isolated from this plant. The structures of 1-7 were determined on the basis of spectroscopic and physicochemical data. Compounds 2 and 5 were isolated from this plant for the first time.

침전법을 이용한 Indium hydroxide 분말의 합성 연구

고밀도 ITO 타겟 제조를 위해 입자의 크기가 미세하면서도 응집성이 적은 $In_2O_3$ 분말을 합성해야 한다. 본 실험에서는 $In_2O_3$ 분말의 특성에 영향을 미치는 전구체 Indium hydroxide 분말의 크기와 형상을 제어하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 출발 물질로써 Indium metal을 질산($HNO_3$)과 증류수의 혼합용액에 용해시켜 $In(NO_3)_3$ 용액을 만들었다. 침전제로 수산화암모늄($NH_4OH$)을 사용하여 농도, pH, 온도가 Indium hydroxide 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. X-ray diffraction으로 각 시료의 결정상을 분석하고 Crystallite size를 계산하였으며, TEM으로 입자의 형상과 크기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 $In(NO_3)_3$ 농도가 증가할수록 얻어지는 Indium hydroxide의 입자크기는 증가하였고 일정한 농도의 $In(NO_3)_3$ 용액에서 침전 pH 변화에 따른 Indium hydroxide의 입자크기와 형상의 변화는 관찰되지 않았다. 침전 시 온도가 상승할수록 입자크기는 증가하였다. For the production of a high-density ITO target, $In_2O_3$ powders with a small particle size and low agglomeration should be synthesized. The purpose of this study is to control the size and shape of the Indium hydroxide precursor which affects the properties of the $In_2O_3$ powder. As a starting raw material, Indium metal was dissolved in a Nitric acid ($HNO_3$) solution. The effect of concentration, pH, and temperature on the properties of Indium hydroxide was investigated using ammonium hydroxide as a precipitant. Crystallite size of each sample was analyzed by X-ray diffraction and the shape and the size of the powder was analyzed by transmission electron microscopy. As a result, the particle size of Indium hydroxide was increased with increase in the concentration of $In(NO_3)_3$ and the particle size and shape of the Indium hydroxide remained unchanged with increase in the pH of the solution. The particle size increased with increase in the precipitation temperature during precipitation.

Indium hydroxide powder was prepared by precipitation method. The reaction temperature ($150{\sim}250^{\circ}C$) and the holding time at each reaction temperature (1~72 h) were used as experimental variables. The particle size, microstructure and crystal phase of each prepared powder were observed through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscope (FE-TEM) and BET. In this study, we investigated the phase and microstructural change induced by heat treatment of indium hydroxide nanoparticles at various temperatures for different holding times. Indium hydroxide 분말이 침전법으로 제조되었다. 반응온도($150{\sim}250^{\circ}C$)와 각 반응온도에서의 유지시간(1~72 h)이 실험 변수로 사용되었다. 각각의 제조된 분말을 X-선 회절 분석기(XRD)와 투과전자현미경(FE-TEM), BET를 통해 입자크기, 미세구조 및 결정상을 관찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 침전법에 의해 제조된 Indium hydroxide가 열처리 시 반응온도와 각 반응온도에서의 유지시간에 따라 어떻게 Indium oxide로 상전이 거동을 하는 지를 고찰하였다.
