Until now it was said the world of Seuk-Jeung's poetry is pastroal-style or pastroal literature by critics. Of course, it is not a fallacy because Seuk-Jeung's poetry are naturalistic and meditative. But analizing the world of a poet, we must interpretate minutely before his poetry world to a place under a category. When we think in from these sides, generally speaking, we have explained simply it's impressive elements about the world of Seuk-Jeung's poetry. In this article, I interpretate his poetic peculiarity through the several poetric words be used frequently and made illustrated his another poetic world. In result, I make out the evidence that the pecularity of Seuk-Jeung's poetry we can explain: First, he had written his works with a negative resistant attitude from the beginning of a period and little by little was added an annual ring, we can perchased his poetric path which his resistant elements rippening to the world of reconciliation and contemplation. Second, the whole frame of his poetric world depended on humanistic view, his humanism is that nature make transfer to humanity, humanity make transfer to nature. Therefore he perchased an essence of human in this path. And his humanism was exhibited a tendency to social nature. All of these path beginning in a love spirits. Third, Seuk-Jeung's poetry perchase the esthetics of a exist. He wished not only his poet and poetry is in accord with his living, but put his poet's thought into practice. He is a prodigy of poet as a seeker after poetic truth in the history of Korean poetry and then his poetry is honest and faithful.

Twenty seven out of ca. 5,000 actinomycete strains, which were isolated from soil collected throughout the country, showed antimicrobial effects against fungi, Rhizopus stronifer (ATCC6227a), Rhizoctonia solani (KCCM 11271) and yeast, Candida albicans(ATCC10231). From these antifungal microorganisms, we further selected seven strains which seemed to produce insecticidal substances with in vivo test, using silkworm, Bombyx mori and beet armyworm, Spodoptera exigua. Morphological and biochemical experiments revealed that three strains out of seven were streptomyces. Further investigations on the physical and chemical properties of these antifungal and insecticidal substances are now in progress.

The purpose of this study was to compare the shear bonding strength and the interfacial micromorpholoy of the 5th and 6th generation dentin bonding system. The evaluation of durability was performed by 1,000 thermocycling with 4℃ and 60℃ water. As the results, mean shear bond strengths of 5th generation dentin bonding systems ranged from 12.48 MPa to 16.71 MPa for One Step and OptiBond Solo, respectively. Mean shear bond strengths of 6th generation dentin bonding systems ranged from 19.03 for Prompt L-Pop to 20.12 MPa for One-Up Bond F. After the thermocycling, the shear bond strengths of 5th generation dentin bonding systems reduced more than that of the 6th generation dentin bonding system. In the thermocycle 0 and 1,000 groups, a significantly different bond strength was observed. The thickness of Hybrid layers were 2∼3㎛ and 1∼2㎛ for 5th and 6th generation dentin bonding systems, respectively. In the 5th generation dentin bonding systems, resin tags and resin penetration through lateral branches of tubules were prominent. In 6th generation, however, the same effect was not observed in the tubules.

Degree of polymerization, surface hardness and tensile bond strength of the bonding resin were carried out to examine the effect of crosslinking agent, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate(TEGDMA), on the adhesion of barbituric acid-initiated resin to dentin. As the results, degree of conversion and surface hardness increased with increasing the concentration of TEGDMA. Tensile bond strength of the resin increased with increasing the concentration of TEGDMA up to 6 wt% and, thereafter, decreased.

Periodontitis, which is a severe inflammatory disease caused by endotoxins secreted from oral pathogens, destructs gingival tissue and alveolar bone. Curcuma xanthorrhiza, commonly called Java turmeric, has been shown to possess anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory activities. The present study evaluated the inhibitory effect of C. xanthorrhiza supercritical extract (CXS) standardized with xanthorrhizol on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced periodontitis in an animal model. LPS was topically injected into the periodontium of Sprague-Dawley rats to induce periodontitis and CXS (30 and 100 mg·kg-1·day-1) was orally administered after day 12. Histologically, CXS inhibited the collapse of gingival tissue by preventing cell infiltration. CXS significantly downregulated the expression of matrix metalloproteases (MMPs) and inflammation-related biomarkers, such as nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) in gingival tissue. CXS also improved bone remodeling by downregulating osteoclastic transcription factors, such as nuclear factor of activated T-cells c1 (NFATc1), tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP), and cathepsin K. In addition, CXS upregulated osteoblast differentiation-related markers, alkaline phosphate (ALP) and collagen type I alpha (COLA1). Thus, CXS can ameliorate periodontitis by inhibiting inflammation and improving bone remodeling.

<P>Three compounds in a new class of 2-acetoxy-w-phenylpentaene fatty acid triglycosides, berchemiosides A-C (1-3), and a biosynthetically related phenolic glycoside (4) were isolated from the unripe fruits of Berchemia berchemiifolia, along with three flavonoid S-O-diglycosides (5-7) and three known flavonoids (8-10). Their chemical structures including absolute configurations were determined by spectroscopic analysis in combination with chemical derivatization. The pentaene group of 1 was found to have (6E,8E,10Z,12Z,14E)-geometry, whereas those of 2 and 3 exhibited all-E geometries. The isolated compounds were examined for their cytotoxicity and xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitory activity; only compound 7 showed weak XO inhibitory activity.</P>

( Eun Hye Hong ),( Jae Hyoung Song ),( Kyo Bin Kang ),( Sang Hyun Sung ),( Hyun Jeong Ko ),( Hee Jung Yang ) 한국응용약물학회 2015 Biomolecules & Therapeutics(구 응용약물학회지) Vol.23 No.4
Betulinic acid, a pentacyclic triterpene isolated from Jujube tree (Zizyphus jujuba Mill), has been known for a wide range of biological and medicinal properties such as antibacterial, antimalarial, anti-inflammatory, antihelmintic, antinociceptive, and anticancer activities. In the study, we investigated the antiviral activity on influenza A/PR/8 virus infected A549 human lung adenocarcinoma epithelial cell line and C57BL/6 mice. Betulinic acid showed the anti-influenza viral activity at a concentration of 50 μM without a signifi cant cytotoxicity in influenza A/PR/8 virus infected A549 cells. Also, betulinic acid signifi cantly attenuated pulmonary pathology including increased necrosis, numbers of inflammatory cells and pulmonary edema induced by influenza A/PR/8 virus infection compared with vehicle- or oseltamivir-treated mice in vivo model. The down-regulation of IFN-γ level, which is critical for innate and adaptive immunity in viral infection, after treating of betulinic acid in mouse lung. Based on the obtained results, it is suggested that betulinic acid can be the potential therapeutic agent for virus infection via anti-inflammatory activity.
Tyrosinase Inhibitory Constituents of Morus bombycis Cortex
Kyo Bin Kang,Sang Du Kim,김태범,Eun Ju Jeong,Young Choong Kim,Jong Hyuk Sung,성상현 한국생약학회 2011 Natural Product Sciences Vol.17 No.3
Tyrosinase is one of the important enzymes in the mammalian melanin synthesis. In the process of melanin synthesis, tyrosine is oxidized to DOPA (3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine), and DOPA is further oxidized to dopaquinone. Tyrosinase is an enzyme catalyzing this oxidation of tyrosine, so chemicals that inhibit the activity of tyrosinase can be used as skin whitening agents. In this study, we isolated five constituents from the 80% MeOH extract of Morus bombycis cortex by bioactivity-guided fractionation. We performed mushroom tyrosinase inhibition assay. As a result, 7,2',4'-trihydroxyflavanone (1), 2',4',2,4,-tetrahydroxychalcone (2), and oxyresveratrol (3) showed the more potent inhibitory effect compared to kojic acid, a well-known skin whitening agent with anti-tyrosinase effect. Moracinoside M (4) and moracin M-3'-O-b-D-glucopyranoside (5) also showed the moderate tyrosinase inhibitory activities.
