Herein, two new polymers designated as Cs-EATT and Cs-BATT have been synthesized via linking the chitosan with the synthesized 1,3,4-thiadiazole compounds. They were characterized using 1 H, 13 C-NMR, FT-IR, TGA, Elemental analysis, Mass spectrum, and UV–vis spectrophotometer. The synthesized polymers exhibit high activity to control the growth of pathogenic bacteria ( S. aureus , B. subtilis , E. coli, and P. aeruginosa ), and unicellular fungi ( C. albicans ). The MIC values were in the range of 25–100 µg mL –1 for Cs-EATT and 25–200 µg mL –1 for Cs-BATT with varied clear zones. The new polymers were mixed with three film-forming agents: polyvinyl alcohol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, and carboxymethyl cellulose to form six film dressings designated as E1, E2, and E3 for Cs-EATT, and B1, B2, and B3 for Cs-BATT, respectively. The evaluation of film dressings showed that the formed films had transparency, uniformity, homogeneity, elasticity, and non-irritation pH values for skin within the normal range. The maximum percentages of Cs-E/B-ATT content were recorded for film dressings E2 and B2, with values of 92.5% and 94.9%, respectively. Also, the release percentages varied according to film dressing formulation, with values in the ranges of 83.88–93.2% for Cs-EATT and (87.7–97.35%) for Cs-EATT after 9 h.

Electric vehicles (EV) are emerging as the future transportation vehicle reflecting their potential safe environmental advantages. Vehicle to Grid (V2G) system describes the hybrid system in which the EV can communicate with the utility grid and the energy flows with insignificant effect between the utility grid and the EV. The paper presents an optimal power control and energy management strategy for Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) charging stations using Wind-PV-FC-Battery renewable energy sources. The energy management optimization is structured and solved using Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) to determine and distribute at each time step the charging power among all accessible vehicles. The Model-Based Predictive (MPC) control strategy is used to plan PEV charging energy to increase the utilization of the wind, the FC and solar energy, decrease power taken from the power grid, and fulfil the charging power requirement of all vehicles. Desired features for EV battery chargers such as the near unity power factor with negligible harmonics for the ac source, well-regulated charging current for the battery, maximum output power, high efficiency, and high reliability are fully confirmed by the proposed solution.

This study explores the evolution of customer engagement in the digital era for businesses, a crucial concept in today’s interconnected marketplace facilitated by a variety of digital platforms. The study identifies a gap in the comprehensive understanding and conceptualisation of digital customer engagement across various social media platforms and mediums. By using a bibliometric analysis approach, this study reviews 547 articles published between 2010 and 2021, offering a holistic view of the existing research landscape. The analysis uncovers four distinct bibliometric clusters representing unique facets of customer engagement: brand engagement, behavioural insights, loyalty dynamics, and relationship dynamics. These clusters provide insights into the multifaceted nature of customer relationships and engagements facilitated by digital platforms. The study concludes by proposing seven future research directions, aiming to guide scholars in exploring uncharted territories in digital customer engagement and its implications for businesses in the digital age.
