Exfoliated graphene nanosheets as high‑power anodes for lithium‑ion batteries

High-quality and solution processable graphene sheets are produced by a simple electrochemical exfoliation method and employed as a high-power anode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The electrochemically exfoliated graphene (EEG) composed of a few layers of graphene sheets, have low oxygen content and high C/O ratio (~ 14.9). The LIBs with EEG anode exhibit ultrafast lithium storage and excellent cycling stability, but low initial efficiency. The excellent rate capability and cycling stability are attributed to the favorable structural and chemical properties of the EEG, but the large irreversibility needs to be overcome for practical applications.

The trade liberalism of the lust hall of the 19th century, which was realized under the Pax Britannica world, had shifted to Protectionism at the end of the century. On the other hand two opposite trends were, in turn, put on the world trade during first half of the 20th century. In particular, Economic Block stimulated by the great Depression was formed in the thirties and after World War Ⅱ IMF & GATT system was launched. In the end Pax Americana system was established since the World War Ⅱ The Unionism of EC and OPEC, however, was launched and stimulated by the collapse of IMF & GATT system in the early seventies and by the revival of trade Protectionism among developed countries coupled with the enhancing resource Nationalism of the developing countries. In this trend EC is strongly expanded its influential power to cope with the growing Globalism on the ground of the American Nationalism. EC lifted the custom duties and quantity restriction completely among member countries in 1968 and adopted the unified custom duties to the outsiders through its Customs Union. EC obtained the trade creating efforts and trade diverting effects through Customs Union.

본 연구는 2차원 유한요소모델을 이용한 부유식 방파제의 파랑감쇠특성에 대한 이론적 연구이다. 유체의 운동은 선형적이고, 2차원적인 포텐셜 흐름으로 가정하고 수치해석을 수행하였으며, 2차원 유한요소해석과 무한요소해석을 채택하여 부유식 방파제 영역에 적용하였다. 따라서 2개의 영역에 있어 방파제 근처 영역에서는 유한요소해석을 적용하였으며, 그 외의 영역에서는 무한요소해석을 사용하였다. 방파제의 형식은 직사각형, 원형, 사다리꼴의 세가지 형상으로 하였으며, 그 결과를 기존의 실험결과와 비교하였다. A theoretical investigation on the wave-attenuation characteristics of floating breakwaters are presented. The fluid motion is idealized as linearized, two dimensional potential flow. A two-dimensional finite element model is adopted to study the performance of floating breakwaters. The near field region surrounding the solid body is modeld using conventional finite elements, however, the far field region is represented appling the infinite elements. Numerical analysis is carried out for floating breakwaters with three different cross-sectional shapes, rectangular, circular and trapezoidal shapes, respectively. Comparison with hydraulic experimental results measured in the past is carried out to prove the validity of the numerical results.

In this pape,the knowledge structure of a class component is described in CRL(Comonent Representation Langauge) and is stored in the library. Also, the index term extracted from the documentation file is given the weight and used as the basis for computing the similarity among components. The components are clustered according to the similarity. Desired components are retrieved based on the linear retrieval. If the components satisfying the user's specification are not found,then the retrieval system provides the candidate components based on clustered retrieval. We developed a prototype retrieval system.It has been shown that our system enhences the retrieval efficiency and reduces the retrieval time.

We report the optical behaviors of the Fe-doped CaMnO3 family of compounds at low dopingconcentrations x 5%. The study aims at assisting the evaluation of the competition between ferroandantiferromagnetic orderings, which is believed to be a cause of many interesting properties of thisclass of compounds, including the magnetization reversal effect recently discovered. The structuralcharacterization showed a predominant orthorhombic phase with slightly increased cell constantsdue to doping. The Raman spectra revealed changes associated with the Mn sites, and the IRabsorption spectrum showed a characteristic Fe band at 1.2 eV, which should be accompanied bya change of spin. The analysis of the magnetization data allowed us to predict that while thedoping reduced the ferromagnetic coupling strength, and therefore the TC, the maximal dopingconcentration for the effective exchange to be zero was around 14%.

Construction managers often face with projects containing multiple units wherein activities repeat from unit to unit. Therefore effective resource management is crucial in terms of project duration, cost and quality. Accordingly, researchers have developed several models to aid planners in developing practical and near-optimal schedules for repetitive projects. Despite their undeniable benefits, such models lack the ability of pure simultaneous optimization because existing methodologies optimize the schedule with respect to a single factor, to achieve minimum duration, total cost, resource work breaks or various combinations, respectively. This study introduces a novel approach called ‘‘opposition multiple objective symbiotic organisms search” (OMOSOS) for scheduling repetitive projects. The proposed algorithm used an opposition-based learning technique for population initialization and for generation jumping. Further, this study integrated a scheduling module (M1) to determine all project objectives including time, cost, quality and interruption. The proposed algorithm was implemented on two application examples in order to demonstrate its capabilities in optimizing the scheduling of repetitive construction projects. The results indicate that the OMOSOS approach is a powerful optimization technique and can assist project managers in selecting appropriate plan for project.

Two years after implementation of the graphic health warning intervention in Vietnam, it is very important to evaluate the intervention's potential impact. The objective of this paper was to predict effects of graphic health warnings on cigarette packages, particularly in reducing cigarette demand and smoking-associated deaths in Vietnam. In this study, a discrete choice experiment (DCE) method was used to evaluate the potential impact of graphic tobacco health warnings on smoking demand. To predict the impact of GHWs on reducing premature deaths associated with smoking, we constructed different static models. We adapted the method developed by University of Toronto, Canada and found that GHWs had statistically significant impact on reducing cigarette demand (up to 10.1% through images of lung damage), resulting in an overall decrease of smoking prevalence in Vietnam. We also found that between 428,417- 646,098 premature deaths would be prevented as a result of the GHW intervention. The potential impact of the GHW labels on reducing premature smoking-associated deaths in Vietnam were shown to be stronger among lower socio-economic groups.

In this study, we described the new developed method to simultaneously discriminate two herbal drugs of Artemisiae Argyi Folium and Artemisiae Iwayomogii Herba using eight marker compounds (1 - 8) on an HPLC-PDA system. The developed method was applied to quantify the major components of two herbal drugs. The pattern analysis successfully discriminated and evaluated different components between Artemisiae Argyi Folium and Artemisiae Iwayomogii Herba. Results were used for classification of different species from collected samples.

The roots of Phlomis umbrosa (Turcz.) (Phlomidis Radix) have been traditionally used to treat cold, reduce swelling and staunch bleeding. Four iridoids (1 - 3 and 5) and six phenylethanoid derivatives (4, and 6 -10) were isolated from the roots of P. umbrosa. A simple, sensitive, and reliable analytical HPLC/PDA method was developed, validated, and applied to determine 10 marker compounds in Phlomidis Radix. Furthermore, the isolates were evaluated for cytotoxic and anti-oxidant activities as well as DPPH-HPLC method. Among them, compounds 4 and 6 – 9 displayed potent anti-oxidant capacities using DPPH assay with IC50 values of 27.7 ± 2.4, 10.2 ± 1.1, 18.0 ± 0.8, 19.1 ± 0.3, and 19.9 ± 0.6 μM, and compounds 6, 8, and 9 displayed significant cytotoxic activity against HL-60 with IC50 values of 35.4 ± 3.1, 18.6 ± 2.0, and 42.9 ± 3.0 μM, respectively.
