      • A Review of Latest Techniques to Secure Wireless Networks against ARP Poisoning Attacks

        Due to increasing network threats, it has become imperative to build a system that is meant to protect the network primarily from intrusion. A discipline that is most oblivious is the layer two of the OSI, which opens the network to dangerous assaults and compromises. Nowadays there are various sophisticated offensive tools and technologies that can exploit these vulnerabilities to create havoc in the tech-savvy generation. ARP spoofing assault is among the most hazardous procedures in local discipline networks. This paper discusses poisoning of Address resolution protocol and the most advanced schemes which mitigate such attacks. This attack has been carried out under test environment for illustrations and various preventive methods against it have been tested and compared. This paper has highlighted in the end an ideal strategy to combat ARP attacks at a superior level than the already existing techniques.

      • Survey on Empirical Channel Models for WBAN

        Wireless body area networks (WBAN) are expected to be a breakthrough technology in healthcare areas, telemedicine, and physical rehabilitation. The nature of the propagation of electromagnetic signals in complex shaped human body in the case of WBAN is expected to be very much different from that found in other environments, e.g. home, offices, streets, etc. So in order to design a high quality WBAN it is very important to examine and improve the propagation characteristics of channel models of WBAN. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of different channel models of WBANs. The effect of channel behavior due to dynamics has been surveyed and challenges in channel modeling have been extracted.

      • On MIMO Channel Modeling for the Mobile Wireless Systems

        Developments in the area of wireless communications have constantly aimed at providing higher data rates even under complex environments using multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Hence it generates a huge demand to investigate and understand the MIMO channel models for mobile wireless systems. Channel models describe the communication environments and are necessary in developing efficient wireless communication networks. This paper surveys the different channel models used to characterize the wireless systems. Generally, the channel models are classified as Physical models and Analytical models. These models are analyzed here along with the discussion of popular examples from both model types. The MIMO channel models employed in the current standardization activities to evaluate the MIMO system are also reviewed. Finally, some issues regarding these channel models are highlighted.

        The primary objective of Cyber Security is to protect data in transit. If a network is vulnerable at layer two, the good fortune opens wide up for an attacker. With the easy availability of refined offensive tools that can exploit these vulnerabilities to create havoc in networks, there is a dire need of mitigative measures that can cope up with increasing threats. ARP Protocol violation is among the most hazardous onslaughts in the wireless networks today. This paper is an effort to implement the mechanism of ARP poisoning and its mitigation by enabling DHCP Snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection. The attack has been demonstrated under test environment using Cain & Abel, Wireshark and NetworkMiner tools because of their merits. The paper also describes the mechanism of Dynamic ARP Inspection to mitigate man-in-the-middle attacks.

Besides, the power of CDMA method in remote system is yet to demonstrate that OCDMA offers security preferences over other various access frameworks by keeping up the nature of administrations. In this paper, the study on OCDMA is in light of exhibiting an analysis on Optical Spectral-Amplitude Code (SAC) OCDMA organized with uniform fiber Bragg gratings. It shows a three-clients SAC-OCDMA For three-client SAC-OCDMA system working at 1550 nm wavelength with 622 Mb/s information rate and 10 Gchip/s chip rate, the greatest suitable transmission separation for a bit mistake rate (BER) < 10-9 at 50km SMF utilizing RZ group [8].
