        형상기억복합재료에 대한 온라인 모니터링 시스템 개발

        형상기억복합재료를 제조하기 위하여 핫프레스 방법을 이용하여 최적의 제조조건을 도출하였으며 냉간압연에 의해 기지재와 강화재의 계면접합을 강화하여 강도를 증가시켰다. 이러한 방법에 의해 제조된 형상기억복합재료에 대하여 외부 하중에 의한 손상정도와 균열의 발생을 감지하여 균열 발생 및 진전을 억제하는 온라인 모니터링 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 음향방출 신호의 파라미터를 이용하여 손상에 따른 최적의 AE 파라미터를 도출하였으며 가열시스템을 이용하여 형상기억합금을 가열함으로써 형상기억합금의 수축에 의한 복합재료 내부에 균열진전을 억제시키는 시스템을 개발하였다. A hot press method was use for the optimal manufacturing condition for a shape memory alloy(SMA) composite. The bonding between the matrix and the reinforcement within the SMA composite by the hot press mothod was strengthened by cold rolling. In this study, the objective was to develop an on-line monitoring system for the prevention of the crack initiation and propagation by shape memory effect of SMA composite. Shape memory effect was used to prevent the SMA composite from cracking. For the system to be developed, an optimal AE parameter should be determined based on the degree of damage and crack initiation. When the SMA composite was heated by the plate heater attached at the composite, the propagating cracks appeared to be controlled by the compressive force of SMA.

        체내에서 침이 발견된 사례 보고

        Objectives : To report the cases of forgotten needles found in the patients' bodies since Dong-guk University Ilsan Hospital opened, and arouse considerable attention to prevent recurrence. Methods : Oriental medical doctors in the hospital has applied acupuncture on patients' bodies in case of need, and the other staffs removed the needles after treatment. Results : All the patients in the cases had cerebrovascular disease with paralysis, aphasia, cognitive disorder and disturbance of consciousness as well as dysphagia requiring gastrotomy tube and dysfunction of respiration requiring tracheal cannula. The pathways the acupuncture needles were passing through are presumed to be transtracheal via the hole of tracheal cannula in two cases, and transgastrointestinal via mouth or the opening of gastrotomy tube. The needle was excreted with stool without any harm to the patient in the latter case, while the impact of the needles on the respiratory system or thorax of the patients in the former two cases is ambiguous. The hospital has taken some measures to prevent recurrence. Conclusions : There are not a few at high-risk of occurrence of forgotten needles that might induce medical problems among patients in oriental medical clinics or hospitals. Authors expect this report arouses all the people involved in the whole procedure of acupuncture treatment, including oriental medical doctors, nurses, nurse-assistants and caregivers considerable attentions to the possible occurrence and risk of forgotten needles.

        Lifetime of the 133Cs(81 keV) Nucleus Confined Within Metallic Plates

        A theoretical investigation has been carried out on how the lifetime of the first excited state of the 133Cs nucleus might be modulated when a γ-ray source is placed between two gold plates at the center of a gold cylinder or sphere. By reabsorption of γ-rays scattered backward from the parallel gold plates separated by 1.0 mm, the lifetime of the 81-keV level of 133Cs is shown to become narrower by 3.35% at 15 K. With 5-cm-long, 1.0-mm-diameter gold cylinder, the lifetime is narrower by 6.22%. The lifetime is reduced by about 17.3% at a temperature of 15 K by a 0.05-cm-thick, 1.0-mm-diameter gold sphere. Also, the temperature dependence of the lifetime is discussed.         The Study on the Attenuation of X-ray and Imaging Quality by Contents in Stomach

        인체의 40~50%인 연부조직에 X선을 조사하면 연부조직의 두께에 따라 투과선량이 감소하며 영상에도 질적 저하를 가져온다. 본 연구는 복부 촬영시 위장내 내용물에 따라 X선 감약 및 화질에 차이가 나타날 수 있다는 가정 하에 실제 위의 조직과 비슷한 조직등가물질 phantom을 제작하여 실제 위장내 내용물에 따른 X선의 감약 변화와 DR (Digital Ridiography)의 ROI수치를 비교해보았다. 단백질 두께가 증가할수록 X-선 감약에 의한 투과선량이 감소되었으며(p < 0.001), Film과 DR 영상에서의 ROI Mean값의 변화도 감소하였다(p < 0.001). Film과 DR 영상에서의 ROI Mean값에 대한 비교는 Film이 DR 영상에 비해 단백질 두께에 따른 농도의 변화 값이 크게 나타났다(p < 0.001). 이와 같은 결과를 종합해 볼 때 DR system 촬영 보다는 필름을 사용하는 단순촬영에서 금식(NPO ; nothing by mouth)의 필요성이 더 중요함을 알 수 있다. This study examined the change in the attenuation of X-rays with the ROI (Region of Interest) in DR (Digital Radiography) according to the stomach contents by manufacturing a tissue equivalent material phantom to simulate real stomach tissue based on the assumption that there is some attenuation of X-rays and a difference in imaging quality according to the stomach contents. The transit dosage by the attenuation of X-rays decreased with increasing protein thickness, which altered the average ROI values in the film and DR images. A comparison of the change in average ROI values of the film and DR image showed that the image in film caused larger density changes with varying thickness of protein than the image by DR. The results indicate that NPO (nothing by mouth) is more important in film system than in DR system.

      • 파노라마 촬영시 눈과 갑상선에 미치는 표면선량에 관한 연구

        파노라마 촬영 시 눈과 갑상선의 표면선량 실험은 광주지역 10개 병원을 대상으로 열형광선량계(Thermoluminescent dosimeter, TLD)와 형광유리선량계(Photoluminescent dosimeter, PLD)를 이용하여 각각 병원에서 사용하는 조건으로 측정(measurement)하였다. ICRP 60과 ICRP 73에서 권고한 눈에 대한 허용기준은 15mSv, 갑상선에 대한 허용기준은 연간 1mSv이다. 왼쪽 눈(Left Eye)의 TLD와 PLD값은 각각 0.19mSv와 0.24mSv, 오른쪽 눈(Right Eye)의 TLD와 PLD의 값은 0.23mSv와 0.25mSv, 갑상선의 TLD와 PLD의 값은 0.08mSv와 0.25mSv로 허용기준치를 초과하지 않았다. 또한 각 장기에 대한 TLD와 PLD의 비교에서는 왼쪽 눈과 갑상선이 유의한 차이가 있다고 볼 수 있고(p<0.01), 오른쪽 눈은 유의한 차이가 없다고 볼 수 있다(p>0.05). 각 병원에서 사용하는 파노라마 기기로 눈과 갑상선에 미치는 선량을 TLD와 PLD로 측정 하였을 때 눈과 갑상선의 표면선량은 ICRP 60에서 권고한 선량을 넘지 않았지만, 확률적 영향이 일어날 수 있으므로 모든 준위의 선량에 대해서 고려되어야 한다. Ten hospitals from the Gwangju area were used to examine shallow dose to eyes and thyroid from panoramagraphy. Thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) and Photoluminescent dosimeter (PLD) were used as measurement devices at each hospital. ICRP 60 and ICRP 73 set standards for acceptability for eyes at 15mSv and thyroid at 1mSv per year. Left eye measures with TLD and PLD resulted in 0.19mSv and 0.24mSv respectively. Right eye measures with TLD and PLD resulted in 0.23mSv and 0.25mSv respectively. Thyroid measures with TLD and PLD resulted in 0.08mSv and 0.25mSv respectively with both measures not exceeding standards for acceptance. There was a significant difference in comparing the left eye and thyroid for TLD and PLD (p<0.01). There was no significant difference with the right eye (p>0.05). The absorbed dose measurements for eyes and thyroid using TLD and PLD in regards to panorama devices at each hospital were within the ICRP 60 recommendations; however, with the possibility of stochastic effect, all dose levels were taken into consideration.

        Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) Rhizome as an Antioxidant Dietary Fiber in Cooked Sausage: Effects on Physicochemical and Sensory Characteristics

        The objective of this study was to determine the physicochemical and sensory properties of cooked emulsion sausages containing different levels of lotus rhizome powder (0, 1, 2, and 3%, based on total weight). Lotus rhizome powder had no significant (p>0.05) impact on pH, moisture, protein, or ash content of sausage. However, fat content was slightly but significantly (p<0.05) decreased when the level of lotus rhizome powder was increased in the sausages. The addition of lotus rhizome powder to sausages at over 1% resulted in significantly (p<0.05) darker and less red color of cooked sausage compared to control. Increase in lotus rhizome level slightly improved the emulsion stability and apparent viscosity. Significant (p<0.05) reduction in cooking loss was observed when more than 1% of lotus rhizome powder was added to sausages. The textural properties of sausages were unaffected by the inclusion of lotus rhizome except for springiness and chewiness. On the manufacture day, control sausage had significantly (p<0.05) higher TBARS value than treatments. Regarding sensory characteristics, increased levels of lotus rhizome powder decreased (p<0.05) color and juiciness scores. However, cooked sausages exhibited similar overall acceptability regardless of the level of lotus rhizome powder added to sausages. Therefore, lotus rhizome powder, an antioxidant dietary fiber, could be used as an effective natural ingredient in meat products for the development of healthier and functional food.

        There are man variety of service that exist and are being implemented in our lives today. However, it is not an easy thing for hospitals to carry them. Through questionnaires given prior to and after receiving informative materials pertaining to treatments and safety of nuclear medicine, the results showed a positive increase and areas that need further improvements concerning the need for informational materials and current service conditions. Also the results from comparing the preference in informative material media such as audio-video, video, and pamphlet revealed that audio-video had the greatest effect. As a result it is recommended that hospital services be improved with the development of audio-video informative materials for the department of nuclear medicine and other hospital service being implemented.

        일반촬영실의 환자대기건수에 대한 원인별 분석

        영상의학과에서 검사한 환자들의 불편사항을 사전설문조사를 통해 개선사항을 조사하고 팀원과 Brain-storming을 실시하여 가장 많은 답변인 촬영대기시간단축을 주제로 선정하여 QI활동을 효율적으로 수행할수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 2006년 9월부터 2007년 11월까지 세부원인 분류에 따라 각 항목별로 3개 월간 QI 실행전과 후의 환자건수를 비교하였다. 환자건수는 환자 한 명 당 촬영한 검사 한 건으로 하였으며 QI실행 후는 QI실행 전 대기건수를 QI팀 회의를 걸쳐 1개월간 개선방안을 모색한 후 개선방안에 따라 시행 하면서 같은 방법으로 1개월간 측정하여 QI활동 전후의 차이를 각각 백분율로 비교하였다. 1. 재촬영원인에 대한 QI활동 전·후 환자촬영 대기건수 비교하였을 때 3.9%의 감소효과 2. 안내부족 원인에 대한 QI활동 전·후 환자촬영 대기건수 비교하였을 때 1.1%의 감소효과 3. 처방착오입력 원인에 대한 QI활동 전·후 환자촬영 대기건수 비교하였을 때 1.1%의 감소효과 4. 응급환자, 통증이 심한 환자, 몸이 불편한 환자 등의 원인에 대한 QI활동 전․후 환자촬영 대기건수 비교하였을 때 12.0%의 감소효과 5. 외래와 병동환자의 촬영중복시간 원인에 대한 QI활동 전·후 환자촬영 대기건수 비교하였을 때 4.7%의 감소효과 환자의 촬영대기건수를 단축하기 위해서는 많은 요인들이 존재한다. 이 요인들을 QI를 통해 영상의학과의 많은 문제점을 찾아내 수정하고 개선하는 것이 QI의 첫걸음이며 영상의학과 QI팀이 결성되어 QI활동을 실행하는 이유라고 할 수 있다. A questionaire survey was conducted for patients who had been examined at the Department of Radiology to investigate the items that need to be improved. Brainstorming was also conducted by team members to suggest the tactics that can efficiently perform the QI activity by selecting the most frequently answered topics for the reduction of waiting time of x-ray examination. From September 2006 to November 2007, number of patients before and after conducting QI was compared for 3 months by each category differentiated by types of detailed causes. A patient case was set as one shooting for one patient. After conducting QI, the waiting cases before conducting QI were evaluated for the method of improvement for 3 month through the QI team discussion and conducted by following the improvement method for the next 1 month and the waiting cases were measured and the difference before and after the QI activity was compared in percentage. 1. When patient waiting cases were compared before and after conducting QI activity against the causes of repetition, it resulted in 3.9% of reduction effect. 2. When patient waiting cases were compared before and after conducting QI activity against the causes for the lack of guiding, it resulted in 1.1% of reduction effect. 3. When patient waiting cases were compared before and after conducting QI activity against the causes of miss-inputting prescription, it resulted in 1.1% of reduction effect. 4. When patient waiting cases were compared before and after conducting QI activity against the causes for emergency patients, patients with acute pain and discomfort patients, it resulted in 12.0% of reduction effect. 5. When patient waiting cases were compared before and after conducting QI activity against the causes for shooting overlapping of outpatients and hospitalized patients, it resulted in 4.7% of reduction effect. There are many factors to reduce the patient waiting cases in radiography. The first step is for radiology department to find these factors through QI, to improve them, which is the reason why the QI team is organized to perform the QI activities.
