Background: Platinum based concurrent chemo-radiation is the de-facto standard of care in the non-surgical management of locally-advanced head and neck cancer of squamous origin. Three-weekly single agent cisplatin at 100 $mg/m^2$ concurrent with radical radiotherapy has demonstrated consistent improvement in loco-regional control and survival. This improvement is however at the cost of considerable hematologic toxicity and poor overall compliance. The routine use of this regime is improbable in developing countries with limited resources. We therefore aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of an alternative regime of weekly cisplatin and concurrent radiotherapy in such patients. Materials and Methods: January-05 and April-12, 188 patients of locally-advanced head and neck cancer of squamous origin were treated with concurrent weekly-cisplatin at $35mg/m^2$ and conventional radiotherapy 60-66Gy/30-33 fractions/5days per week. Results: Overall, 95% patients received planned doses of RT while 74% completed within the stipulated overall treatment time of <50 days. Eighty-two percent received at-least 5 weekly cycles. Grade-III/IV mucositis was seen in 58%/9% respectively, which resulted in mean weight loss of 9.2% from a pre-treatment mean of 54.5 kg. Grade-III hematologic toxicity-0.5%; grade II nephrotoxicity-2.5% and grade III emesis-3% were also seen. Grade-III/IV subcutaneous toxicity-10%/1% and grade-III/IV xerostomia-10%/0% were observed. Complete responses at the primary site, regional nodes and overall disease were seen in 86%, 89% and 83% patients respectively. The median and 5-years disease-free survival were 26 months and 39.4% respectively, while the median and overall survival were 27 months and 41.8% respectively. Conclusions: Weekly-cisplatin at 35 $mg/m^2$ when delivered concurrently with conventional radical RT (at-least 66y/33 fractions) in locally-advanced head and neck cancer is well tolerated with minimal hematologic and neprologic toxicity and can be routinely delivered on an out-patient basis. It is an effective alternative to the standard 3-weekly cisplatin especially in the context of developing countries.

In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems involving ${\varphi}-contraction$ in ordered partial metric spaces. We also extend newly introduced notion of g-comparability of a pair of maps for linear contraction in ordered metric spaces to non-linear contraction in ordered partial metric spaces. Thus, our results extend, modify and generalize some recent well known coincidence point theorems of ordered metric spaces.

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for some weaker forms of compatibility satisfying a contractive condition of integral type on d-complete Hausdorff topological spaces. Our results extend and generalize some well known previous results.

<P>A simple theoretical model is developed for studying the magnetic behavior of films at microwave frequencies, and verified experimentally on the ferrite-polymer thick-film samples. The measured values of permeability by the proposed model/technique are found to be in good agreement with the values obtained by the standard cavity perturbation technique.</P>
FIXED POINTS OF SET-VALUED MAPPINGS IN RELATIONAL METRIC SPACES

In this paper, we generalize the notion of comparable set-valued mappings by introducing two types of R-closed set-valued mappings and utilize these to obtain an analogue of celebrated Mizoguchi and Takahashi fixed point theorem in relational metric spaces. To annotate the claims and usefulness of such findings, we prove fixed point results for both set-valued and single-valued mappings and validate the assertions with the help of examples. In this way, these investigations extend, modify and generalize some prominent recent fixed point results obtained by Tiammee and Suantai [24], Amini-Harandi and Emami [4], Prasad and Dimri [19] and several others in the settings of relational metric spaces.

The Indian Summer Monsoon Rainfall (ISMR) plays a significant role in India’s agriculture and economy. Our understandingof the climate dynamics of the Indian summer monsoon has been enriched with general circulation models (GCMs)and regional climate models (RCMs). Systematic bias associated with these numerical simulations, however, needs to becorrected before we can obtain accurate or reliable projections of the future. Therefore, this study applies two state-of-theartdeep-learning (DL)-based super-resolution bias correction (SRBC) methods, viz. Autoencoder-Decoder (ACDC) and adeeper network Residual Neural Network (ResNet) to perform spatial downscaling and bias-correction on high-resolutionCORDEX-SA climatic simulations of precipitation. To do so, we obtained eight meteorological variables from CORDEXSARCM simulations along with a digital elevation model at a spatial resolution of 0.25°×0.25° as input. Indian MonsoonData Assimilation and Analysis, precipitation reanalysis re-grided to 0.05°×0.05° spatial resolution is chosen as output forthe training period 1979–2005. To evaluate the DL algorithms, the RCP 2.6 scenario of CORDEX-SA future simulationsfor the period 2006–2020 is chosen. Moreover, we also conducted a performance assessment of the representation of mean,variability, extreme, and frequency of rainfall associated with ISMR. The results of the experiments show that the DL methodResNet a highly efficient in (i) improving the spatial resolution of the climatic simulations from 0.25°×0.25° to 0.05°×0.05°,(ii) reducing the systematic biases of the extreme rainfall of ISMR from 21.18 mm to -7.86 mm, and (iii) providing a robustbias-corrected climate simulation of ISMR for future climate mitigation and adaptation studies.
COINCIDENCE THEOREMS VIA CONTRACTIVE MAPPINGS IN ORDERED NON-ARCHIMEDEAN FUZZY METRIC SPACES

In this article, we prove coincidence point theorems for comparable ψ-contractive mappings in ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces utilizing the recently established concept of T -comparability and relatively weaker order theoretic variants. With a view to show the usefulness and applicability of this work, we solve the system of ordered Fredholm integral equations as an application. In the process, this presentation generalize and improve some prominent recent results obtained in Mihet [Fuzzy Sets Syst., 159 (6), 739-744, (2008)], Altun and Mihet [ Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2010, 782680, (2010)], Alam and Imdad [Fixed Point Theory, 18(2), 415-432, (2017)] and several others in the settings of partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces.
COMMON FIXED POINT RESULTS VIA F-CONTRACTION ON C<sup>*</sup> -ALGEBRA VALUED METRIC SPACES

In this work, we establish common fixed point results by utilizing a variant of F-contraction in the framework of C<sup>*</sup>-algebra valued metric spaces. We utilize E.A. and C.L.R. property possessed by the mappings to prove common fixed point results in the same metric settings. To validate the applicability of these common fixed point results, we provide illustrative examples too.
Fixed Point Theorems for Expansion Mappings on Probabilistic Metric Spaces

In this paper we introduce the notion of expansion mapping on a probabilistic metric space and grove common fixed point theorems for a pair of such mappings. These results being new of their kind, are interesting generalizations of some of the known results.
