Survey of Studies on Software Psychology

Software development process is still known as an expensive, error-prone, and time-consuming "necessary evil." This situation is often described as "software crisis." In response to the software crisis, software psychology has emerged as a discipline that attempts to improve the productivity of the software process by investigating behavioral and cognitive issues involved. This paper surveys the studies of the software process based on psychological approaches. A human performance model is identified and employed as a framework for organizing previous literature. Then, previous studies are classified into two groups: studies on one performance variable and those on the relations between two variables. Finally, theoretical and methodological problems are briefly discussed and future directions for the research in software psychology are suggested.
Fact Analysis: A Method for Evaluating Informational Content in Text and Diagram

This paper presents an analysis method for evaluating informational content in text and diagrams. This method is called 'fact analysis' which has been applied to analysis of text and to evaluation of knowledge acquired from the text. The semantic content of text is expressed in the form of a list of facts. Then, this list is used as a basis for evaluating the extent to which the text is comprehended. In the same manner, we can extend fact analysis to diagrams where units of information may vary such as words, phrases, clauses, or paragraphs. This paper briefly describes the construction of facts contained in text and in recall, and the derivation of facts from diagrams. It also includes examples of comparing facts in the original text with those in subjects' recall and with those in a diagram.

최근 들어 스마트폰의 급격한 확산과 NFC(Near Field Communication) 기능을 탑재한 이통통신 기기의 증가로 인해 모바일 상거래의 활성화에 대한 기대가 높아지고 있으며, 이통통신기기를 이용한 모바일 지불서비스에 대한 수요가 크게 증가하고 있다. NFC 인프라를 구축하기 위해 모바일 지불뿐만 아니라 스마트 터치 주문,모바일 쿠폰 연계, 단말과 단말 간의 정보교환 및 결제 등 다양한 응용서비스가 필요하다. 본 연구는 한국의 사용자들을 대상으로 모바일 지불서비스 특성과 사용자 특성이 지각된 위험, 지각된 유용성,지각된 사용성 비용을 매개로 이용의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다.

인터넷은 이제 포털이나 검색엔진이 전성기를 누리던 시대를 지나 소셜미디어가 두각을 나타내는 새로운 시대로 변모하고 있다. 특히 중국은 4억5천만의 인터넷 사용자수를 갖고 있으며 소셜미디어 업체간의 경쟁이 매우 심하다. 본 연구는 중국의 SNS 대표주자인 Renren과 마이크로 블로그의 대표주자인 Weibo 사용자들을 대상으로 소셜미디어의 이용동기가 이용유형과 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다.

페이스북,트워터 등의 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS: Social network service)의 지속적인 성장과 더불어,소셜 네트워크 서비스를 이용하여 공동구매자를 모아 저렴한 가격으로 쇼핑을 하는 소셜 쇼핑(Social Shopping) 또한 활발하게 이용되고 있다. 이 과정에서 소셜쇼핑 사이트 이용자가 일반 쇼핑 사이트보다 더 큰 사회적 실재감을 느끼게 된다. 본 연구에서는 사회적 실재감을 '감정', '자기표현감', 자기효능감', '소통 정도', '인간관계유지성'의 다섯 가지 요소로 세분화하고 이러한 사회적 실재감이 쾌락적 쇼핑가치를 통해 사이트 사용의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 알아본다.
Consumers' Credibility in Recommendation via SNSs

With the popularity of social network sites, many users have integrated these sites into their daily life. Though hundreds of social network sites are set up for different aims, without doubt, they all provide a platform for people to communicate with each other and share their information. Researchers have proved that social network sites would affect the way people behave. Marketers and merchants have adopted social networking technology in online shopping sites in order to increase their sales volume. Prior research showed that many factors could affect consumers' behaviors, but source credibility can strongly influence consumers' intention to purchase products or services. This paper tries to build a research model that explains which factors affect the consumers' credibility in recommendations on social network sites, and their behavioral intentions toward the recommended products sold in traditional shopping sites and social shopping sites.
Effect of Cultural Factors on Online Privacy Concern

This paper has studied whether cultural factors have an effect on privacy concern of Internet users in Korea and China. The result has shown that power distance, individualism, uncertainty avoidance, and long-term orientation are positively related to privacy concern, while masculinity is negatively related to privacy concern. This study has also found some similarities and differences between the two countries. First, privacy concern of Korean Internet users is significantly higher than that of Chinese users. Second, individualism and uncertainty avoidance significantly affect privacy concern in both Korea and China, although individualism in Korea has stronger effect than that in China. Third, long term orientation has a significant effect in only Korea while power distance is significant only in China. These results suggest that an online company doing businesses in multiple countries should have country-specific privacy policies to deal with the privacy concern of Internet users in different countries.

Factors affecting mobile-phone users' intention to use m-commerce in Korea & China

This study empirically examines factors that affect the intention to use m-commerce and the relationships among the factors. Survey data is being collected both in Korea and China. The development of mobile commerce in China is still in slower pace than Korea. This study attempts to find out the differences among the factors affecting the usage of mobile commerce in Korea and China. The result from this study would contribute to understanding people's usage behavior in the current mobile environment and suggest implications for expediting m-commerce.
