A Design on the Communication Protocol for Data Collection of the IOT Based on Cold Chain System

This paper designed and analyzed the communication protocol for the data communication between the IOT device and the middleware server of the IOT based Cold Chain Monitoring System. In this regard, we have referenced the CoAP Protocol Model of IETF CoRE WG, and analyzed and designed the process status flow, data flow and frame format of the IOT device (IOTD) and the middleware server. In order to test the effectiveness of the proposed Cold Chain Communication Protocol, we have produced the Zigbee, Bluetooth and wifi module mounted gateway and the temperature, humidity sensor. After sending the temperature data from the IOTD to the middleware server, we analyzed the received data from the middleware server. As the result, we were able to interpretate the data sent from the IOTD, and identify that in using these data the cold chain data such as the temperature, humidity, and battery remains data can be collected in real time.
Design of Smart Cold Chain Application Framework Based on Hadoop and Spark

A smart cold chain management is an information system which monitors and maintains the proper temperature of the products during whole cold chain, and analyzes data to report abnormal environmental status and risks to producers and consumers. In this paper, we propose an application framework for smart cold chain management system based on Hadoop, Spark and IoT (Internet of Things) techniques. The proposed application framework for smart cold chain provides PaaS (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infra as a Service) so as that smart cold chain management systems can be developed and operated with low cost and in short time. Also, the proposed application framework for smart cold chain allows the heterogeneous IOT devices such as RFID tags, WSN sensor nodes, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensor nodes and so on. We design PaaS and IaaS based on Hadoop and Spark to store the large amount of data stream on salable storage and process stream data in real time to detect events and assess risks in cold chain. Through generalizing the functions of existing cold chain management systems, common components in smart cold chain management systems are drawn.

The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis and to evaluate its relative risk factors in Koreans working in agricultural and fishery industries. Among the agricultural and fishery population over the age of 50, 816 people were chosen to analyze the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis and the prevalence odds ratio of social demographic or health related factors based on the primitive data of the 5th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2010-2012). The prevalence of knee osteoarthritis was 26.3% and, in demographic terms, female, elders, and individuals with low level of educational attainment and monthly income showed higher prevalence of knee osteoarthritis. In health related factors, nonsmokers and people with higher BMI showed higher prevalence of knee osteoarthritis. The present cross-sectional study showing the prevalence ratio and the prevalence odd ratio revealed a high incidence of knee osteoarthritis in Korean agricultural and fishery populations.
