        There are various ways to operate traffic light system by varying the operational speed of the system. One of the solutions is to vary the length of the clock cycle of the system. It is difficult to vary the length of the signal in systems by varying the period of the clock cycle and nor it is a generalized technology in the current traffic systems. The traffic signal systems of the past used is simply a repetitive traffic signal system which traffic period is consistent, not considering the conditions of traffics. The system that will be introduced in this thesis could substantially improve efficiency of traffic flows by varying the length of traffic signal period with sensors which detect the presence of vehicles on both directions and allows the signal continuously on the direction where there are more waiting vehicles, and even skips the signal where there is no vehicle waiting. In this thesis, it introduces the methodology of detecting the spots that is detected by the sensors of the system and outputs green light in due order in accordance with the priority given to the system. In the meanwhile, the ratio of yellow light and green light is designed to be 1 to 8 in the way that maximizes the efficiency of traffic flows.

        분꽃씨의 抗알레르기 效果에 대한 硏究

        This study was investigated the inhibitory activity of Semen Mirabilis (SM) (Nyctaginaceae) on type 1 immediate hypersensitivity of the anaphylactic type. 1 used a mouse model of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis, an IgE-mediated, mast cell-dependent reaction. Administered orally at 250, 500 ㎎/㎏ body weight 1 h before the challenge, SM was potently inhibited PCA in mouses in which disodium cromoglycate showed poor inhibitory activity. SM inhibited compound 48/80-induced anaphylaxis 94.21% with a dose of 0.5g/㎏ body weight at 1 h before or 5 and 10 min after injection of compound 48/80. SM (0.03-2.0 ㎎/㎖) also exhibited the dose-dependent inhibitory effect on compound 48/80-induced histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells. Moreover, it was clearly demonstrated that SM and disodium cromoglycate disodium cromoglycate potently inhibited such type I allergic reactions as anaphylactic shocks, suggesting that these drugs, at least in part, share the same mechanism of action. It is suggested that SM may exert a stronger inhibition on the mast cell degranulation process. When I examined the effect of SM on the release of IgE in mouse spleen whole cells and human mycloma U266B1, the release of IgE is inhibited by Mirabilis jalapa L. These results suggest the possibility that the inhibition of allergic reaction by SM is regulated by histamine and IgE.

        Since the mid of 1970's Korea, the construction of infrastructures has been booming and accelerating to keep up with rapid economic growth. Fast achievement of most construction activities has caused unfavorable effects of civil petitions associated with damages and nuisances due to last hasty works. Recently, unexpected collapses of Sungsoo grand bridge, Sampoong department and other reinforced concrete structures have been continually occurred because of the construction not conforming with the specification, and thereby incurred enormous loss of life and property. Thus, a periodic inspection and maintenance have been strongly interested on aged RC structures, of which lifetime becomes over 20 years. Because of insufficient data about repair and rehabilitation technique in the country, most repairing and reinforcing works have been unsystematically performed under the guidance of few local companys more or less experienced in this field.

        티타늄 임플란트의 수산화칼륨 처리가 인산칼슘의 석출 및 조직적합성에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to examine whether the precipitation of calcium phosphate and tissue compatibility of titanium implant are affected by the surface modification of potassium hydroxide treatment. Titanium plates of 10×10×1 mm in dimensions were polished sequentially from #600 to #2,000 emery paper and one surface of each specimen was received an additional polioshing sequence through 0.1㎛ alumina paste. Specimens were soaked in 0.1∼10.0 M KOH solutions at 60℃ for 24 hours and 5.0 M KOH-treated group was heated at 400∼800℃ for 1 hour. All specimens were soaked in the Hanks' solution with pH 7.4 at 36.5℃ for 30 days, and the surfaces were examined with X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS). To evaluate the tissue compatibility of KOH-treated titanium, STS316L, untreated titanium and KOH-treated titanium were implanted into abdominal connective tissue sites of rats for 3 months. After removing the implants, abdominal tissue sites were fixed and prepared histologically for microscopic observation. It was characterized by the presence of connective tissue with fibrous capsule surrounding the implant and macrophages. Potassium titanate hydrogel layer, which can accelerate the formation of bonelike apatite layer on titanium surface, was obtained with the immersion in KOH solution. Precipitation of calcium phosphate on titanium surface was densified with the immersion in 5.0M KOH solution and heat treatment at 600℃. Number of macrophages in connective tissue site of 0.95 mm2, which is known to increase with the inflammation reaction proceeds, was significantly decreased as the alkali & heat treatment of titanium surface (p<0.01). The thickness of the fibrous capsule formed around the implant body was significantly decreased with the alkali and heat treatment of titanium surface (p<0.01).

      • 맥주맥 F_1세대의 조합능력 검정

        맥주맥의 이면교잡에 의한 F_1세대에 대한 조합능력을 검정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 8개 형질에 대한 GCA, SCA, RCA효과를 검정한 바 조합능력은 전 형질에서 GCA, SCA, RCA가 모두 유의하였는데 간장, 수장, 망장, 간직경, 곡핍폭, 1수립수 1000립중은 GCA가 SCA보다 크고, 품종간 GCA효과는 진양보리가 간장에서 부(-)이고, 삼도보리가 수장·망장·간직경·1000립중에서, 사천6호가 망장과 간직경에서, 진광보리가 곡립장에서, 두산29호가 곡립폭·1수립수·1000립중에서 각각 정(+)으로 높았다. SCA효과에서 수장은 두산29호×두산8호 조합이, 망장은 진양보리×두산29호 조합이, 간직경은 사천6호×진광보리 조합이, 곡립장은 진양보리×두산8호 조합이, 곡립폭은 진광보리×두산8호 조합이, 1수립수는 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 1000립중은 사천6호×두산8호 조합 및 두산29호×두산8호 조합이 각각 정으로 높았고, 간장은 삼도보리×진광보리 조합이 부로서 높았다. RCA효과에서 수장은 두산8호×남향보리 조합이, 망장은 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 간직겨은 사천6호×진양보리 조합이, 곡립장은 사천6호×진광보리 조합이, 곡립폭은 진양보리×삼도보리 조합이, 1수립수는 사천6호×두산29호 조합이, 1000립중은 진양보리×두산29호 조합이 각각 정으로 높았고, 간장은 사천6호×두산29호 조합이 부로서 높았다. Seven barley varieties in F_1 generation of the possible crosses among them were used to estimate the combining ability for eight characters, i.e., culm length, spike length, awn length, culm diameter, grain length, grain width, number of grains per spike and 1000 grains weight. Data for F_1 hybrid and parents were subjected to the analysis method proposed by Griffing. The results obtained were summarized as follows. mean squares of general combining ability(GCA), specific combining ability(SCA) and reciprocal combining ability(RCA) were significant for all characters observed. Mean squares of GCA were higher than those of SCA and RCA in culm length, spike length, awn length, culm diameter, grain width, number of grains per spike and 1000 grains weight. Variety Dusan#29 showed the highest GCA effect for number of grains per spike and positively high effects of GCA were observed from variety Samdo bori in spike length, awn length, culm diameter, 1000 grains weight, and from variety Jinkwang bori I grain length, from Dusan#29 in grain width, umber of grains per spike, 1000 grains weight. Also Jinyang bori showed negatively high GCA effect in culm length. In SCA effects, hybrids in Jinyang bori × Samdo bori were exhibited positively high for number of grains per spike and high SCA effects for 1000 grins weight were found positively in Sacheun#6×Dusan#8 and Dusan#29×Dusan#. In RCA effects, hybrids in Sacheun#6×Dusan#29 were exhibited positively high for number of grains per spike and high RCA effects for 1000 grains weight were found positively in Jinyang bori×Dusan#29.

      • 신경세포 移住 異常에 의한 뇌기형의 자기공명영상

        Neuronal migrational anomalies are rare congenital malformations of the brain, and caused by interruption of normal migration of neuroblasts during the 2nd to 6th months of gestation. These anomalies include agyria/pachygyria complex, schizencephaly, heterotopia of gray matter, polymicrogyria. Six patients with migrational anomalies are evaluated by MRI. One patient has agyria/pachygyria complex anomaly, three patients have schizenceaphaly, and two patients have gray matter heterotopia. The patients have other associated anomalities, such as absence of septum pellucidum, and some have complex anomalies. MRI is better method to determine the migratory disorders than CT, because of better contrast between gray and white matter, and multiplanar capability of MRI. MRI is an excellent method for diagnosing these neuronal migrational anomalies.

      • 젤여과법을 이용한 토끼 심근 미오신의 분리 및 부분정제

        Myosin, the major protein required for the production of force and shortening in muscle, is a hexamer consisting two heavy chains (molecular mass∼200kDa) and pairs of light chains (molecular mass∼16 and 20kDa). Myosin and other contractile apparates from the left ventricular myocardium of rabbit were extracted using pyrophospate buffer system and was purified by using the gel filtration. And partially purified each protein component was confirmed by the electrophoresis in non-dissociation and dissociating conditions respectively. On Disc-PAGE of the crude extract, 4 bands clearly appeared and 3 protein components were separated by chromatography in the 5 fractions. In dissociating electrophoresis, each bands were separated into subunit in the pyrophosphate buffer. The first fraction contained the heavy chain of myosin, tropomyosin and myosin light chain 1 and 2. The second and third fraction were composed of tropomyosin and actin and the proteins that had molecular mass smaller than 15kDa were in the fourth and fifith fractions.

        These experiment were conducted to investigate the growth and characteristics of Adenophora triphylla DC, and to investigate of the seed germinationand rate and morphological characteristics of leaf and flower in the genus of it. The results were as follows. Germination rate of Adenophora triphylla DC was 87.2% and Among Adenophora species investigated, plant height, stem length, leaf number and rooting rate of A. divaricata var. manshurica Kitagawa were greatest. Flower stalk length of A. triphylla var. japonica hara was the large flower, while A. divaricata var. manshurica Kitagawa was small.

      • 목초액의 엽면살포가 선학초(Agrimonia pilosa L.)의 종자수량에 미치는 영향

        Agrimonia pilosa L. has been used as a medicinal plant in traditional folk remedy, and it shows inereasing tendency at various sections such as medicine-making material, functional food, and agricultural chemicals using plant or extract. The treatment was 400times solution(50㎖), 600times solution(33.3㎖), 800times solution(25㎖), 1,000times solution(20㎖) and 1,200times solution(16.7㎖) level with foliar application of wood extraction in Agrimonia pilosa L. The results obtained through these experiments were summarized as follows; plant height, stem number, leaves was increased with 800times solution(25㎖) foliar application of wood extraction. Among foliar application of wood vinergar soution diluted by 800-1,200 times was most effective considering growth and yield as compared other dilutions and control plot.

      • Rat의 복강내에 투여한 5-fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid 제형이 장기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        For more effective intraperitoneal chemotherapy, the authers made 5-fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid composite disks(FU-PGA disks) with 5-fluorouracil and polyglycolic acid, a biodegradable polymer. We inserted the FU-PGA disk into the peritoneal cavites of Sprague-Dawley male rats, the control and three experimental groups; one FU-PGA disk insert group(300mg/kg), two FU-PGA disk insert group(600mg/kg), and three FU-PGA disk insert group(900mg/kg). The control group received a similar number of PGA disk inserts. A pharmacokinetic study was performed to measure the 5-fluorouracil concentration in the peritoneal fluid, blood, and tissues(liver, kidney and heart) at 24 hours, 72hours and 168 hours after insertion of the FU-PGA disk. Light and electron microscopic studies were done. The results were as follows: 1) The number of white blood cells and platelets decreased after FU-PGA insertion. The degree was proportional to the duration and amounts inserted. The change in the number of red blood cells varied slightly. 2) Light microscopically, slight changes were noted at 168 hours in the 3 disk insert group (900mg/kg). Mild fatty change and hepatocyte degeneration around the central veins of the liver were noted, with vacuolar degeneration in the proximal convoluted tubules of the kidney. 3) Electron microscopically,the liver showed focal increases of lipid droplets in the hepatocytes, and irregular nuclear membrane with focal nucleolar segregation of the fibrillar and granular elements. Also the double membranous structure of the hepatocytes and Kupffer cells was widened with bleb formation. The kidney showed wide separation of the nuclear double membrane in the proximal convoluted tubular cells and mesangial cells, with vacuolation and myelin figure formation in the mitochondria of the proximal convoluted tubular cells, at 72 hours and 168 hours in the 2 to 3 FU-PGA insert groups. The heart showed focal loss of cristae,vacuolation and myelin figure formation in the mitochondria of the 2 to 3 FU-PGA insert groups. In conclusion, despite the large amont of FU-PGA inserted, the histopathological changes in the liver, kidney and heart were slight, and consonant with the very low amount of 5-fluorouracil concentrations detected in the liver, kidney and heart. The above results suggest that the FU-PGA composite can serve as a new device for releasing drugs in a controlled manner and easily targeted to intraperitoneal organs. This device can improve the efficacy of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric cancer.
