      • Active Carbon에 의한 Ethylene Glycol 의 液相吸着

        In adsorption processes, equilibrium and the rate of approach to equilibrium are important design and operation variables. The concentration of ethylene glycol, which was greatly decreased by adsorption on active carbon, was measured in a stirred tank adsorption vessel at 30, 40, and 50℃. The data of adsorption equilibrium in various concentrations have been plotted on the basis of Henry, Langmuir, and Freundlich adsorption relations, and it has been found that the data are well fitted by the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. At the early stage of adsorption, the adsorption rate on the external surface is so rapid compared with other mass transfer process that the inital adsorption rate is governed by boundary film mass transfer process between the bulk liquid and the external surface of active carbon. The coefficent of boundary film mass transfer is also proportional to the revolution speed of impeller. The values of intraparticle diffusion coefficent, which has been determined by the Dryden and Kay method at 30, 40, and 50℃, increases with increasing temperature.

      • 尿中 Aminolevulinic Acid와 Porphobilinogen의 비교 조사 연구

        This studies were examined to measure total ALA and PBG concentration in Urine, and find the relationship of correlation among them in 57 men unexposed and 43 men exposed by mercury. The results were summarized as the following; 1. In 100 populations total urine ALA concentration was 0.85±0.17㎎% in male, in female were 0.40 ± 0.04㎎% (normal value : 0.54㎎%). 2. Urine ALA concentration in male were 1.04∼1.11mg% for the ages between 30 ∼ 49 was the highest and then in female were 0.58㎎% for the ages between 40 - 59 was the highest. 3. In 100 populations total urine PBG concentration was 0.03㎎% in male, in female were 0.02㎎% (normal value : 0.03㎎%). 4. Urine PBG concentration in male were 0.05㎎% for the ages between 30-49 was the highest. 5. In unexposed men group total urine ALA concentration was 0.13±0.03㎎% in male, in female were 0.11±0.0l㎎%. 6. In exposed men group total urine ALA concentration was 1.81±0.55㎎% in male, ill female were 0.78±0.09㎎%, there was differences in attention showing male was higher than the female (P<0.05). 7. In unexposed men group total urine PBG concentration was 0.02㎎% in male, in female were 0.0l㎎%. 8. In exposed men group total urine PBG concentration was 0.06㎎% in male, in female were 0.04㎎%,there was differences in attention showing male was higher than the female (P<0.05).

      • 병원내 생리기능 검사실의 적정 업무환경에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to suggest guideline for optimal work environment of physiological laboratory in hospital. Therefore this study was carried out to analyze the actual condition of laboratory system, major equipments and persons. The period of survey was from September to November 1997 and the objects were 123 laboratory. The major results of this study were as follows. 1. The optimal areas of general ECG room, exercise ECG room and echocardiology room were all 9-18㎡, that of Holter ECG room was 3-12㎡. The optimal areas of neurosystem laboratory were all 9-12㎡, those of respiratory system laboratory were all 9-18㎡. 2. The optimal number of persons laboratory of hospital 500 beds and less were 2∼3, those of 501∼700 beds were 3∼4.701∼1.000 beds were 4∼5 and over 1.001 beds were 7∼8 persons in circulatory system laboratory. The optimal number of persons laboratory of hospital 500 beds less than were 1∼2, those of 501∼700 beds were 3∼4, 701∼1.000 beds were 6∼7 and over 1.001 beds were over 8 persons in neurosystem laboratory. The optimal number of persons laboratory of hospital 500 beds and less 1. those 501∼1.000 beds were 1∼2 and over 1.001 beds were 2∼3 persons in repiratory system laboratory. 3. The optimal number of equipments of general ECG were 2∼3 in the 500∼1.000 beds hospital. there were 3∼4 units in the 1,001 beds. The optimal number of equipment EEG were both 1∼2 in the hospital 500 beds and less and 501∼700 beds. those were 4∼5 units in hospital over 701 beds. The optimal number of equipments of spirograph were both 1∼2 in the hospital 500 and less and 501∼1.000 beds. those were 2∼3 units in the over 1.001 beds. 4. In view of speciality and legal problem of physiofunctional test. we sugget that non-licensee were so quickly change place licensee in the interests of optimal work environment. 5. We suggest that to upgrade qualitative level of domestic equipment and to the more amplify utilization with respect to domestic equipment for the purpose of reducing loss of foreign money.

        만성 정신분열증환자의 보체성분 C4A 그리고 C4B의 이인자형 빈도에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to see if there were any peculiar phenotypes of complement C4A and C4B distribution in patients with chronic schizophrenia. Allotypes were analyzed by electrophoretic separation on agarose gel and then identified by immunofixation technique. The diagnosis of schizophrenia was made according to DSM-Ⅲ-R. The schizophrenic patients consisted of 13 paranoid, 14 undifferentiated and 4 disorganized types. The C4 allotype frequencies of these subjects were compared with the 160 healthy controls. The results were as follows : 1) C4A6 antigen frequency was significantly increased in all schizophrenics compared to the control group. 2) C4A4 antigen frequency was significantly increased in paranoid type schizophrenics patients compared to the control group. 3) C4A6 antigen frequency was significantly increased in undifferentiated type schizophrenics patients compared to the control group. 4) C4A6 antigen frequency was significantly increased in schizophrenics patients with family history compared to the control group. This leads C4A6 and C4A4 to be indicative of the possibility of a biological or a genetic marker. A further study, however, is required on a large basis of subjects.

      • 태권도 품새 수련이 아동의 심박수, 심근산소소비량, 에너지 대사에 미치는 영향

        The Taegeuk Poomse 1 through 8 of Taekwondo are based upon eight major branches of philosophical theories. The propose of this study was to investigate the nfluence of Taekwondo poomse trainning on heart rate, MVO2, energy metabolism in primary school students. Subjects for this study were eight male the fifth∼sixth grades students who participated in exercise program consist of Taekwondo poomse trainning in dojang which is located in Shinlim-2dong, Kwanak-Gu, Seoul(12.7± 0.5years, 150.8 ±4.6cm, 45.1 ± 9.4kg, 24.9 ± 9trainning length). The results of thet this study are as follows: 1) The average of heart rate was Taegeuk Poomse 1 through 8 of Taekwondo 90.57± 4.gbeats/min in rest and 139.7 ± 17.5beats/min in exercise. The minimum heart rate was 89.0±2.8, peak heart rate was 167.1 ±6.4 in exercise. It was ranged from 42% to 80% 2) of the max heart rate and ranged 42 to 65%HRmax. Taegeuk 1 Jang was differenced with others Jangs significantly(p<0.05), 2) The time of the Taegeuk 1 through 8 Jang of Taekwondo was 5minutes 12seconds. Heart rate was ranged from 90.6 ± 7.85beats/min to 171.8 ±8.Ibeats/min and increased linearly. 3) The average of the MVO2 was 11.1 ±0.78mmHg · bpm-3 in rest and 19.1 ± 1.2mmHg ㆍbpm-3 in exercise. MVO2 was ranged from 10.5mmHg · bpm-3 to 20.3mmHg · bpm-3. There were not difference between Taegeuk Poomses(p<0.05). 4) The energy metabolism was as follows: Mean VO2 Respiratory exchange ratio, energy consumption were 0.51(V02L/min),0.71(RQ),2.32Ckca1/min) in rest respectively. but In exercise Mean VO2 Respiratory exchange ratio, energy consumption were 0.89 ± 0.18( V 02L/min), 0.79±0.08(RQ), 4.26±0.51(kcal/min) respectively . The difference was only between Taegeuk 1 Jang and Taegeuk 3 Jang(p<0.05). This study showed that the Taekwondo Poomse trainning was proper exercise for fitness, body composition and weight control in normal, abnormal(obese) children because the Taekwondo trainning are dynamic and exciting sport.

      • 대장균에서 발현시킨 사람 파필로마 바이러스 18 형 E6 단백질의 분리정제와 사람 혈청내의 18 형 E6 항체 검색에의 이용

        Human papillomavirus type 16 and 18 encode two major transforming proteins E6 and E7. Recombinant E6 protein for human papillomavirus type 18(HPV 18) E6 gene was expressed in E. coli in large quantity as authentic size, non fused form of protein. However, the protein was produced in inclusion bodies. Therefore this bacterially produced E6 protein was solublized in SDS solution and purified to the homogeneity by gel filtration column chromatographies using Sephacryl S-200 column. The yield of purified 18 E6 recombinant protein was approximately 30 ㎎/ℓ liter culture. This purified recombinant 18E6 protein was used to determine the presence of antibodies that might have been produced against HPV 18 infections in the human sera. We tested and compared sera obtained from both cervical cancer patients and people having no apparent cervical cancers. These were accomplished using Western blot. Antibodies reactive to recombinant HPV 18E6 protein were frequently detected in cases with cervical carcinoma(14 out of 20, 70%), compared to people with no apparent carcinoma(4 out of 9, 44%).

      • 항산화제 섭취가 탈진적 운동 시 장딴지근의 GPx 및 GR의 활성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this present study was to investigate the effect of maximal exercise and a long-term antioxidants supplementation on antioxidant enzyme(GPx and GR) activity of gastrocnemius muscle in rats. Twenty four male Sprague-Dawley rats(4 weeks old) were used as subjects. The subjects were divided into 4 groups such as, CON(n=6 in control group), NAE(n=6 in non antioxidants exercise group), AC(n=6 in antioxidants control group) or AE(n=6 in antioxidants exercise group). Non-antioxidants group(CON & NAE) fed general food(Samyang, Inc., Korea) for 16 weeks. Antioxidants group(AC & AE) fed the general food and the mixed antioxidants which were consist of vitamin E(200 lu/kg/day), vitamin C(50 mg/rat/day), vitamin B6(250 ug/kg/day), β carotene(300 mg/kg/day) and selenomethionine(0.1 mg/mg/day), The weight of each subject group was weighed 2-3 times per week. After the diet experiment for 16 weeks, exercise groups(NAE & AE) completed acute treadmill running(speed increased gradually to 25 m/min, 15% uphill grade, ∼50±10 min) until exhaustion. Immediately after exhaustive treadmill exercise, all the subjects were sacrificed for the isolation of gastrocnemius. Then, GPx(Glutathione Peroxidase) and GR(Glutathione Reductase) of the gastrocnemlus muscle were assayed. The protein concentration in the muscle and heart was determined by the Lowry method. After finishing the analysis of antioxidant activity, statistical analysis was carried out by two-way ANOVA and independant t-test. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: Maximal exercise increased the GPx and GR activity of gastrocnemius muscle, Further, a long-term antioxidants supplementation more significantly increased the GPx and GR activity of gastrocnemius muscle than those of non-antioxidants group. In conclusion, the present results clearly show that the exhaustive maximal exercise gave rise to increase oxidative stress which led to oxidative damage so that the antioxidant enzyme activity of gastrocnemius muscle were increased. Further, it has been found that the long-term antioxidants supplementation could decrease oxidative stress in the tissues so that the antioxidant enzyme activity of skeletal muscles was more increased.
