        한우비장(韓牛脾臟)에 있어서 비동맥비지(脾動脈脾肢)의 분기(分岐)에 관(關)해서

        This study was conducted to ramify of the Rami lienales at the hilus of the spleen in Korean cattle. The materials used were fifty spleens, 25 fresh samples, and 25 Cast specimens. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. The splenic arteries were divided into 2 Rami lienales (32 cases, 64%) and 3 Rami lienales(18 cases, 36%). and their branches were nominated as Aa, terminales superior et inferior and A. polares superior. 2. To ramify the A. terminalis superior and A. terminalis inferior, only one case diverged in the splenic parenchyma and 49 cases diverged in the outside of the spleen. 3. Immediately after dividing from the splenic artery to the Aa. terminales superior and inferior, the calibres of the A. terminalis inferior were larger than the A. terminalis superior (sup. 5.5 mm., inf. 8. 5mm.). 4. It was also observed, in all samples used. that Rami lienalis of the splenic artery were not anastomosis in the out side of the spleen.

        한우암소의 목부위에 2개의 여분의 전지가 부착된 과다사지

        An abnormal Korean native cow of six years old with extra legs was observed macroscopically and radiographically. The results were summarized as follows; 1. External features included two normal forelimbs and hindlimbs, and two extra forelimbs which were underdeveloped. The extra forelimbs of different length attached laterally to the cranial regions of neck on right scapula. 2. The large extra forelimb had scapular meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped humerus, antebrachial skeleton, several carpal bones, metacapal bone(MC3+4) and two digitis with each pairs of hoof and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 3. The small extra forelimb had scapular and antebrachial meromelia. It consisted of underdeveloped metacarpal and carpal bone, severely deformed humerus, fused carpal bones, and two digitis with two hooves, and a rudimentary hoof of dewclaw. 4. The dermoid cyst was observed between the large and small extra forelimbs.

      • Distribution of Renal Vein within Kidney of Korean Native Goat

        한국 재래산양 50마리의 신정맥 vinylite를 주입하여 주형표본을 만들어 신정맥의 분포상태를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 신장의 구역정맥들이 모여서 신정맥지를 이루고, 신정맥은 $2\\sim 3$개의 신정맥지로서 구성되나, 2개의 신정맥지인 경우가 많았다. 2. 신정맥은 전지(Ramus cranialis)와 후지(Ramus caudalis)로 구성되는 경우, 배지(Ramus dorsalis)와 복지(Ramus ventralis)로 구성되는 경우, 전지 $\\codt$ 중지(Ramus medius)후지로 구성되는 경우 그리고 $배지\\cdot 중지 \\cdot 복지$로 구성되는 경우가 있었는데, $배지\\cdot 복지$로 되는 경우가 가장 많았다. 3. 정맥성 구역은 $좌\\cdot 우신$, $배\\cdot 복면$이 각각 $2\\sim 4$개 였으며 3개인 경우가 가장 많았다. 4. 신장의 배면과 복면의 전단, 또는 후단 그리고 $전\\cdot 후양단$에서 공통구역을 형성하는 경우도 있었다. 5. 신극정맥의 출현은 없었다. 6. 신정맥의 주행과 분포상태는 신동맥과는 현저히 달랐다. The distribution of renal veins of fifty Korean native goats(100 kidneys) was observed. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In all goats a single renal vein, both on the left and right sides, emerged from the hilus of the kidney and then entered the posterior vena cava. 2. The ventral and dorsal surfaces of the kidney were drained through several segmental veins. These segmental veins were grouped into 2-3 Rami to formed the main trunk of the renal vein. The segmental veins drained into Rami dorsalis and ventralis, in 56 percentage of the left and 64 percentage of the right kidney and the remainder goats drained into Rami cranialis and caudalis; Rami cranialis, medius and caudalis; Rami ventralis, medius and dorsalis. 3. The ventral and dorsal surfaces of the kidney were divided into 2-4 venous segments. Among them three segments were mostly frequent (55 percentage). 4. A common segment vein was drained both dorsal and ventral surfaces at the cranial, caudal pole, and both poles. The frequency of the common segment was 32 percentage at the cranial, 18 percentage at the caudal pole, and 14 percentage at the both poles. 5. A polar renal vein was not observed. 6. The renal veins and the renal arteries did not match in arrangement and in course.

        한우(韓牛) 송아지의 이안체(二顔體)

        A female Korean native calf with diprosopus was examined macroscopically and radiographically. Anterior head duplication (diprosopus) was observed and all structures caudal to it were normal. She had two complete mouths, four eyes and three ears. Single tongue was present in each oral cavity. The two tongues were joined at their base just posterior to the single epiglottis. Both oral cavities led jointly into a common pharynx and one esophagus. One laryngeal cavity communicated with one common trachea. The lower jaws were immobile because of overlapping mandibular rami. The atlas was complete, and two anterior articular cavities articulated with the lateral condyles of the occipital bones of each skull. The cerebrums were fused each other at their caudal portion, and the giri and sulci were underdeveloped. The cerebellums were also completely fused, and they had not characteristic appearance of the vermis. The spinal cord showed normal appearance.

        한우간동맥(韓牛肝動脈)의 분지(分枝)에 관한 해부학적(解剖學的) 연구(硏究)

        The distribution of the hepatic arteries within the liver in 30 Korean native cattle were observed. Vinylite solution was injected into the hepatic arteries of 10 livers for cast preparation. The angiography was prepared in 20 livers by injected 30% barium sulfate solution into the hepatic arteries and then radiographed on X-ray apparatus. The results were summarized as follow ; 1. The hepatic arteries were divided into the Ramus (R.) sinister, R. dexter and R. intermedius. The intrahepatic arteries were derived from the R. sinister and R. dexter. The R. intermedius divided into the Arteria(A.) gastrica dextra, A. gastroduodenalis and A. cystica. 2. The right branch (ramus dexter) of the hepatic artery supplies the right lobe and caudate process. It consisted of the A. dorsalis lobi dextri, A. ventralis lobi dextri and A. lobi caudati. They formed one common trunk with three arteries(6 cases, 20%), and two arteries formed common trunk with the A. ventralis lobi dextri and A. lobi caudati (16 cases, 52.8%), or with A. dorsalis lobi dextri and A. lobi caudati (5 cases, 16.5%). The three arteries arose from the A. hepatia independently(3 cases, 10%). 3. The left branch (ramus sinister), larger than the right and often double (6 cases, 20%), supplies the caudate, quadrate and left lobes, and often gives origin to the A. gastrica dextra. 4. The branches of hepatic artery in the left lobe were derived from A. dorsalis lobi sinistri, A. ventralis lobi sinistri and A. intermedius lobi sinistri. The A. intermedius lobi sinistri were absent in some cases (3 cases, 10%). They almostly originated a single branch and often two branches. 5. The A. cystica arose from the R. intermedius(27 cases, 90%) and A. hepaica(3 cases, 10%). 6. The Rami processus papillarum arose from dorsal border of the Pars transversa of the left branch(19 cases, 62.7%), the left branch and right branch (9 cases, 30%) or A. hepatica(2 cases, 6.6%). 7. The A. lobi quadrata arose from either the Pars transversa of left branch (12 cases, 40%) or A. hepatica(4 cases, 13.2%). It also arose from both Pars transversa of left branch and A. ventralis lobi sinistri (3 cases, 10%). 8. The anastomosis on the branches of A. hepatica was observed in intrahepatic and cystic arteries. The left and right branches ramified several secondary radiating branches within the liver. 9. The hepatic arteries formed a very short common trunk of the right branch ($18.75{\pm}11.89$ : 2.20~44.8mm) and a long Pars transversa of the left branch($72.85{\pm}20.04$ : 28.2~104.1mm). 10. The ramified angles at the A. dorsalis lobi dextri, A. ventralis lobi dextri, A. lobi sinistri, A. ventralis lobi sinistri, A. lobi quadrata, A. cystica and Rami processus papillarum were 50-80, 270-300, 340-20, 120-160, 160-290, 200-230, 250~290, 230~280 and 80~120 degrees, respectively.

        한우문맥(韓牛門脈)의 분지(分枝)에 관한 해부학적(解剖學的) 연구(硏究)

        The distribution of portal veins within the liver in 30 Korean native cattle were observed. Vinylite solution was injected into portal veins of eighteen specimens for cast preparation. The angiography was prepared in twelve specimens by injecting 30% barium sulfate solution into portal veins, and then radiographed on a X-ray apparatus(Shimadzu 800MA 120Kvp). The results were summarized as follow: 1. The Vena portae was divided immediately upon entering the liver into a very short Truncus dexter venae portae($14.75{\pm}4.86$ : 6.9~23.1mm) and a long Truncus sinister venae portae($94.16{\pm}9.62$ : 110~150mm). 2. The Truncus sinister venae portae runs of first in the long axis of the liver from the Porta hepatis toward the left lobe. At the boundary between the quadrate and left lobes it bends sharply 50 to 80 degrees toward the Incisura ligamentum teretis, and after a course of 36. 5 to 54.mm between the quadrate and left lobes, ends abruptly. The Truncus sinister venae portae is divided for description into the Pars transversa, from the Porta hepatis to the flexure, and the Pars umbilicalis, from the flexure to the end. 3. The branches of Venae portae were Ramus ventralis lobi sinistri, Ramus intermedius lobi sinistri, Ramus dorsalis lobi sinistri, Ramus lobi quadratii, Ramus ventralis lobi dextri, Ramus intermedius lobi dextri, Ramus dorsalis lobi dextri, Rami processus caudatorum and Rami processus papillarum. 4. The Ramus intermedius lobi sinistri was arised from the left surface of the Pars umbilicalis, and was origined on the common trunk with Ramus dorsalis lobi sinistri(3 cases, 10%) or Ramus ventralis lobi sinistri(3 cases, 10%). 5. The Rami lobi quadratii consisted of the vein(15 cases, 50%) or two veins(15 cases, 50%), and was observed on the arched-shaped at 2 cases (6.6%) of the liver. 6. The Rami processus caudatorum consisted of one vein(28 cases, 93.3%) or two veins(2 cases, 6.6%). The former were formed common trunk with R, dorsalis lobi dextri(7 cases, 23.3%) or R. ventralis lobi dextri (2 cases, 6.6%). 7. The Rami processus papillarum were arised from the dorsal border of Pars transversa, and also gave off many small branches supplied papillary process of the caudate lobe. 8. The anastomosis on the branches of Vena portae was observed in the intralobar and interlobar areas. 9. The Truncus dexter venae portae and Truncus sinister venae were ramified many secondary branches that were radiated within the liver. 10. On the diaphragmatic surface, small vessels of the portal veins were observed, while there were big ones on the visceral surface. 11. The ramified angles at Ramus dorsalis lobi dextri, Rami processus papillarum, Ramus dorsalis lobi sinistri, Ramus intermedius lobi sinistri, Ramus ventralis lobi sinistri, Rami lobi quadratii, Rami processus caudatorum, Ramus ventralis lobi dextri and Ramus intermedius were 10~50, 70~110, 100~150, 140~170, 185~220, 270~330, 240~300, 270~320 and 340~10 degrees, respectively.

        한국재래산양(韓國在來山羊)의 태아(胎兒) 및 신생자(新生仔)의 체적측정치(體尺測定値)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        The measurement was investigated with 18 heads of fetus(60, 90, 120 days of gestation) and neonate in Korean native goats. The results were summerized as follows: 1. The crown-rump length of fetuses at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 8.71, 20.83, 31.10 and 34.93 cm, respectively. 2. The length of small intestine at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 32.28, 157.10, 303.52 and 457.06 cm, respectively. 3. The length of large intestine at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 9.20, 37.70, 82.06 and 94.46 cm, respectively. 4. The ratio of intestinal length to crown-rump length at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was 4.76, 9.45, 12.40 and 15.79 times, respectively. 5. At 60 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $7.40{\pm}0.72cm$, The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $1.55{\pm}0.20cm$ in cervical, $2.29{\pm}0.21cm$ in thoracic, $1.46{\pm}0.10cm$ in lumbar, $0.51{\pm}0.04cm$ in sacral and $1.59{\pm}0.17cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 6. At 90 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $16.52{\pm}0.80cm$. The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $3.72{\pm}0.12cm$ in cervical, $5.09{\pm}0.26cm$ in thoracic, $3.22{\pm}0.04cm$ in lumbar, $1.97{\pm}0.03cm$ in sacral and $2.64{\pm}0.35cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 7. At 120 days of gestation, the total length of the vertebral column was $26.35{\pm}0.34cm$. The mean length of each segment of the vertebral column was $6.09{\pm}0.16cm$ in cervical, $7.81{\pm}0.07cm$ in thoracic, $5.08{\pm}0.07cm$ in lumbar, $3.07{\pm}0.02cm$ in and $4.31{\pm}0.02cm$ in coccygeal vertebrae. 8. In the neonate, the total length of the vertebral column was $32.41{\pm}1.57cm$. The mean length of each segment of vertebral was $7.70{\pm}0.25cm$ in cervical, $9.97{\pm}0.68cm$ in thoracic, $5.58{\pm}0.44cm$ in lumbar, $3.85{\pm}0.15cm$ in sacral and $5.05{\pm}0.06cm$ coccygeal vertebrae. 9. The chest girth at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $6.13{\pm}0.51$, $13.45{\pm}0.84$, $20.28{\pm}1.53$ and $22.94{\pm}1.75cm$, respectively. 10. The head length at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $2.93{\pm}0.07$, $6.67{\pm}0.13$, $8.84{\pm}0.51$ and $9.76{\pm}0.44cm$, respectively. 11. The width of the head at 60, 90, 120 days of gestation and neonate was $2.20{\pm}0.13$, $4.45{\pm}0.11$, $5.33{\pm}0.20$ and $5.51{\pm}0.32cm$, respectively.

        Vinyl부식법(腐蝕法)에 의(依)한 한우비주동맥(韓牛脾柱動脈)의 구역적(區域的) 주행(走行)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        This study was conducted to ramify of the splenic arteries by injection of Vinylite into the splenic arteries in twenty five adult Korean cattle. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. Splenic trabcular arteries of bovine were originated from 3 chief Rami lienales, Aa. terminales superior et inferior and A. polaris superior, of the splenic arteries, and the splenic parenchyma was ramified to 4-9 arterial segments by the course of the Rami lienales. 2. Each one of the arterial segments was dealt with 2-4 Teilsegmente, therefore, the splenic parenchyma was ramified from 12 Teilsegmente in minimum to 30 Teilsegmente in maximum. 3. The distribution of the arteries in the spleens was divided into 6 types by the number of arterial segments, and also was 15 kinds by the distributing arteries, Aa. terminales superior et inferior and A. polares superior. 4. The anastomosis was not observed between the arterial segments and Teilsegmente.

        한국재래산양 태아와 신생아의 흉골과 늑골 크기에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the skeletal measurement of the sternum and ribs at 60-, 90-, 120-day-old fetuses and neonates of Korean native goats. The total length and width of the ossified part of the sternebrae and ribs were observed at 60-, 90-, 120-day-old fetuses and neonates. The ossification of the ribs from the 1st to the 8th rib was observed in 60-day-old fetuses, but not observed from the 9th to the last rib. In the 90-day-old fetuses, all ribs were observed having ossified parts. In the 60-day-old fetuses, all sternebrae were not observed having ossified parts. All sternebrae were observed having ossified parts in the 90-day-old fetuses. In the 90-day-old fetuses, the length of the ossified parts of each sternebrae was longer than its width. In the 120-day-old fetuses and neonates, the length of the ossified parts of the 1st, 2nd, and 7th sternebrae was longer than its width, but the width of from the 3rd to 6th sternebrae was longer than the length.

        한우의 수컷 거짓반음양(웅성위반음양) 증 1례

        A 2-year-old male pseudohermaphrodite in Korean native cattle was observed macroscopically and microscopically. The results were summarized as follows. In the female reproductive organs, the vulva and vestibule were normal size, but the vagina and uterus were shorter and smaller abnormally. The uterine tube and ovary were absent, but the small testes was located in the abdominal cavity.
