Gadolinium-benzoate 착물의 열역학적, 적외선 및 자기적 성질에 관한 연구

수용액내에서 gadolinium-벤조산 착물형성 반응의 열역학적 함수값들을 이온상수 0.1M NaClO₄, 25℃ 조건하에서 구하였다. gadolinium-벤조산 착물의 안정도는 여분의 엔트로피 효과에 기인하는 것으로 판단되며, 벤조산 리간드의 경우 한 자리 리간드에 비해 높은 안정도 상수값을 나타내었다. 이러한 높은 안정도는 리간드내의 벤젠고리의 공액효과로 예측되었다. 합성된 Gd(ben)₃의 고채 IR 스펙트럼 결과, 벤조산 리간드가 두 자리 리간드로 작용하여 킬레이트를 형성하였으며, 80-300K 온도 범위에서의 자화율 데이터는 Curie-Weiss법칙에 잘 적용됨을 알 수 있었다. The thermodynamic parameters for the formation of gadolinium benzoate have been determined in the ionic medium of 0.1 M NaCl₄at 25℃ n aqueous solution. The thermodynamic results indicate that the complex is stabilized by the excess entropy effect caused by the dehydration of reacting ions. The especially high stability of Gd(Ⅲ)-benzoate compared to the monodentate ligand complexes might be ascribed to the conjugation effect of the benzene ring in the benzoate-ligand. IR Spectra show that benzoate anion acts as a bidentate ligand toward Gd^(3+) to form a chelate ring in solid state. Magnetic susceptibility data of the compound were also obtained and well described by Curie-Weiss law in the temperature range 80-300K.

반응성 이색성 염료를 사용하여 제조한 폴리(비닐 알코올) 편광필름의 내구성 및 편광특성에 관한 연구

이색성 염료인 콩고레드, 다이렉트블랙 22 및 다이렉트블랙 4를 염화시아눌산과 반응시켜 3,5-이염화-2,4,6-트 리아진 잔기를 갖는 반응성 이색성 염료를 합성하였다. 합성한 반응성 이색성 염료를 폴리(비닐 알코올)(PVA) 필름 에 염착시키고 400% 일축 연신시켜 편광필름을 제조한 후 투과도 및 편광효율을 측정하였다. 비교를 위하여 요오 드를 PVA 필름에 염착시키고 400% 연신시켜 편광필름을 제조하여 투과도 및 편광효율을 측정하였다. 내구성 실험 을 50 oC의 온도에서 85% 상대 습도의 조건으로 120시간 동안 진행하였다. 결론적으로, 요오드 염착 PVA 편광필름 과 비교하여 반응성 이색성 염료 염착 PVA 편광필름의 경우 내구성이 크게 증진되었음을 알 수 있었다. Three reactive dichroic dyes with 3,5-dichloro-2,4,6-triazine moiety were synthesized by reaction between dichroic dyes (such as congo red, direct black 22 or direct black 4) and cyanuric chloride. Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) films were dyed with the obtained three reactive dichroic dyes. After 400% drawing of the PVA films, their optical properties were compared with an iodine-doped PVA film prepared in the same condition. Durability test was performed at 50 oC in 85% of relative humidity for 120 hrs. We found that compared with the iodine-doped PVA polarizing film, the relative durability of the PVA polarizing film dyed with the reactive dichroic dyes was greatly improved.

<P>Cage dodecaphenylsilsesquioxane (T12-Phenyl) was synthesized in a one batch, mildly basic aqueous solution under room temperature conditions using a trialkoxysilane precursor. Significant improvements in synthetic yield (>95%) were observed compared with previous reports.
