The operating performance, spring characteristics, and material properties of a gas-insulated circuit breaker were optimized using multibody dynamics. The circuit breaker consisted of several latches and a cam. The dynamic behavior of the latches was affected by the spring characteristics, as well as by the materials and length of each latch. Our results indicated that the motion of the latches was a key factor in determining the opening time of the circuit breaker. A multibody model for the circuit breaker was developed and verified by comparing simulated results with experimental data. The opening time for the breaker was reduced by 1.5 ms in simulations.

The automotive sunroof system has many benefit that are able to control ventilation and brightness. Kinds of auto motive sunroof system are Panorama sunroof, normal sunroof type. Recently, strength in sunroof system with the growth of the global automotive industry are one of the most important issues. Many studies have been carried out to improve sunroof system’s strength. In the paper, the structural analysis on close, open condition of normal sunroof type is carried out. The close and open condition of automotive sunroof Assy are verified by comparing structural analysis results with experimental data obtained by strength tester. All kinds of influence factors affecting the sunroof system stiffness is confirmed by simulation and test. A FEM model of sunroof system is established for analyzing the strength of sunroof system by using Abaqus program. In the paper, method of structural analysis and strength test are proposed for evaluation of sunroof system’s close and open condition.
