국립중앙박물관에서는 “고려·조선의 대외교류전”을 대비하여 고지도, 고서, 고문서 등의 지류문화재에 대하여 보존처리를 실시하였다. 일반적으로 지류문화재는 자연적인 노화 외에도 온·습도, 빛, 물리적 힘 등의 여러 가지 주변 환경에 민감하게 반응하게 된다. 온·습도 변화에 의한 수축과 팽창, 유물에 직접적으로 가해지는 곤충·곰팡이 등에 의한 생물학적 손상, 그리고 인위적으로 행해지는 물리적 힘에 의한 손상 등이 그 대표적인 예일 것이다. 이번에 보존처리를 실시한 유물들에서도 그러한 손상들을 쉽게 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 고서, 고문서 등의 보존처리 과정에서 볼 수 있었던 손상상태와 그 보존처리 내용, 그리고 지류문화재의 손상방지를 위한 간단한 응급처리 내용을 소개하고자 한다. In National Museum of Korea, we recently preserved paper cultural assets, such as ancient maps, books and antique documents etc, to prepare “A Dynamic World of External Relations in Goryeo & Joseon Dynasty”. The paper cultural assets generally react sensitively to their environments; temperature, humidity, light and physical force acting. Biologic Biological damages, which are caused by microbe, contraction, swelling and damage from insects occurred. Wrinkles on relics, which are made my physical force, stains on relics which are due to moisture, weakening of adhesive strength and damages from insects were found during the recent preservation handling. Therefore we are trying to find out any damage, which could be occurred in paper cultural assets and introduce brief emergency operation to prevent the damages and develop the preservation handling.

지류문화재의 보존처리과정에서 실시되는 습식크리닝의 영향을 알아보기 위해 습식크리닝 전과 후의 물성변화를 관찰하였다. 조사방법으로 고지와 현대지 7종을 각각 습식크리닝 전과 후의 구조적, 광학적, 강도적 성질의 변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 습식크리닝은 지류문화재의 물성변화를 일으키고 특히 안료, 먹, 염료 등의 구성성분을 약화시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. To understand the influence of wet cleaning performed in the course of preserving paper items, the change of matter properties by before and after wet cleaning was observed. Specifically, structural and optical qualities and strength were measured. The result showed that wet cleaning caused a substance change in the paper items and particularly weakened the structure material of pigments, Chinese ink, dyes, etc.
상부소환관협착에 대한 Savary-Gilliard Dilatation의 치료효과와 안전성에 관한 관찰

For the patient with stenosis of upper digestive tract caused by either benign or malignant process, esophageal dilatation is an important therapeutic modality. We reviewed retrospectively 39 cases treated by Savary-Gilliard dilatation for upper digestive tract stenosis, and results were follows : (1) Dysphagia was improved in 95% of the patients. (2) Eight patients(20%) sufferd perforation, five of them were managed with conservative medical measures, others were managed operatively. (3) In the cases with benign stenosis dysphagia was not noticed for 8.8 months, but with malignant stenosis dysphagia was reappeared after 2.8 months despite concomitant chemoradiotherapy. In conclusion, Savary-Gilliard dilatation was an effective measure for symptome due to upper digestive tract stenosis, but more careful attention for perforation should be necessitated. Also another therapeutic modality for treatment of malignant stenosis was inevitable.

A clinical analysis was performed of 3055 pateints with peptic ulcer who were diagnosed with gastroduodenoscopy, in Hospital of Chungnam National University College of Medicine from July 1988 to May 1993. 1) During the period 1988-1993, The proportion of gastric ulcer among peptic ulcer decreased from 47.8% to 42.8%, but that of duodenal ulcer increased from 36.8% to 39.6%. 2) Of the 3055 cases, the number of patients with esophageal ulcer was 98(3.2%), with gastric ulcer 1407(41.6%), with. duodenal ulcer 1104(36.1%), with channel ulcer 149(4.9%), and with combind ulcer 297(9.7%). 3) We observed a peak incidence of peptic ulcer in the 50-69age group, gastric ulcer in the 5069age, duodenal ulcer in the 40-59age group. The ratio of male to female was 3.6 : 1 in peptic ulcer, 4.4 : 1 in gastric ulcer, 3.0 : 1 in duodenal ulcer. 4) The common site was angle in gastric ulcer, and bulb in duodenal ulcer. 5) The active stage was 39.4% of gastric ulcer, and 37.4% of duodenal ulcer, the healing stage was 34.2% of gastric ulcer, and 17.9% of duodenal ulcer, and the scar stage of gastric ulcer was 26.4%, and duodenal ulcer was 44.7%. 6) The size of ulcer was less than 1Cm in 66.7% of gastric ulcer, and in 75.5% of duodenal ulcer, the size of ulcer was greater than 2Cm in 13.2% of gastric ulcer, and in 6.5% of duodenal ulcer. 7) The frequency of multiple ulcer was 29.9% in gastric ulcer, and 16.5% in duodenal ulcer.
모체 Thyroxine 투여가 태아알코올효과를 가진 흰쥐 대뇌겉질 및 해마에서 NPY함유 신경세포의 생후 발달에 미치는 영향

Background and Objectives: Maternal alcohol abuse is considered to be one of the most prominent cause of neurobiological malformations in the postnatal and adult life of the offspring. In this study, we investigated the effects of maternal alcohol drinking on the postnatal development of NPY-containing neuron, and, the influence of thyroxine treatment on the cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of alcohol abused mother. Materials and Method: Time-pregnant rats were divided into three groups. Alcohol-fed group A received 35 calories of liquid alcohol diet daily from gestation day 6; control pair-fed group B was fed a liquid diet in dextrin replaced alcohol isocalorically: alcohol + T4 group C received 35 calories liquid alcohol diet and exogenous thyroxine subcutaneously. Results: Group C showed prominent NPY immunoreactivity in the cerebral cortex compared to group A and B at P7. In group C, NPY-containing neurons were widely distributed in the all layers of cerebral cortex after P14. Besides, numerical decrease of NPY-containing neuron as age increases was not found in group C. However, the decrease of NPY-containing neuron was clearly observed in group A compared to group C after P14. In hippocampus, group Band C were appeared similar patterns after P7. Additionally, in group C, NPY immunoreactivity was prominently appeared in CA2 and CA3 at P14 as compared to group B. Conclusions: The present results showed the increase of intensity and number of NPY-containing neurons in cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of exogenous T₄ supplemented alcohol-exposed dams as compared to control pair-fed and alcohol-exposed pups at P7. It presumably suggest that NPY-containing neurons might be regulated by the early postnatal growth stimulatory effect of the exogenously supplemented T₄. Therefore, the increase of NPY synthesis caused by maternal administration of exogenous thyroxine may ameliorate fetal alcohol effect, one of the ill effects as a result of the dysthyroid state following maternal alcohol abuse.

최근 들어 도시 뉴타운, 재개발/재건축사업과 같은 도시재생사업으로 인한 해체산업의 중요성이 점점 증대되고 있으나 관련기술 수준은 타 분야에 비해 상대적으로 낙후되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 현재 철근콘크리트구조물의 기계식 해체공법 적용시 발생되는 분진 제어를 위해 대상물 근접 위치에서 작업자가 직접 물을 분사하는 방식을 적용하고 있으며 안전 문제와 직수(直水)에 의한 비산분진의 비효율적 제어에 따른 대기오염 유발 및 분진이 포함된 오염물질로 인한 토양과 수질오염 등과 같은 추가적인 문제를 발생시키고 있어 이의 해결을 위한 대책 마련이 중요하다고 할 수 있다..이를 위해 기존의 공법들에 대한 비교/분석을 통해 인영건설(주)은 계면활성제 성분의 거품을 이용한 거품해체 공법을 개발하였으며 기존 살수공법과의 분진 억제 성능에 대한 비교 평가를 수행하였다.
