본 논문에서는 일반 가정용 전원으로 친환경 차량의 배터리를 충전할 수 있는 On-board charger를 위한 단일단 능동클램프 하프브리지 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 4개의 스위칭 소자를 가지며 전 듀티영역에서 ZVS가 성취되므로 스위칭 주파수를 높일 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 타당성 및 성능을 검증하였다.

We propose an accurate circuit model of patterned vertical alignment (PVA) liquid crystal (LC). The model adopts a first-order macro model described by Verilog-A. To improve accuracy of the transient response of PVA LCD panel, we propose T-V curve approximation method. We report a delay at the first frame of gray-to-gray transition, which results in large deviation. We achieve highly accurate simulation results by taking on account of the delay in PVA panel.

<P>A rapid and efficient method for the synthesis of <I>O</I>-fluoromethyl aliphatic and aromatic ethers is presented. <P>An active-clamped current-fed converter can achieve not only lossless clamping but also zero-voltage switching. In particular, a boost-half-bridge (BHB) converter is one of the most suitable candidates for high-current, high-step-up applications owing to its low transformer turn ratio, reduced voltage rating of diodes, zero magnetizing dc offset, and symmetrical structure for all components. In this letter a quasi-resonant switching technique for a BHB converter with active clamping is proposed to significantly reduce turn-off switching losses. Experimental results for a 16 V, 1.2 kW prototype validate the effectiveness of the proposed concept.</P>

Place recognition is a method for determining whether a robot has previously visited the place it currently observes, thus helping the robot correct its accumulated position error. Ultimately, the robot will travel long distances more accurately. Conventional image-based place recognition uses features extracted from a bag-of-visualwords (BoVW) scheme or pre-trained deep neural network. However, the BoVW scheme does not cope well with environmental changes, and the pre-trained deep neural network is disadvantageous in that its computation time is high. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel place recognition scheme using an illumination-compensated imagebased deep convolutional autoencoder (ICCAE) feature. Instead of reconstructing the raw image, the autoencoder designed to extract ICCAE features is trained to reconstruct the image, whose illumination component is compensated in the logarithm frequency domain. As a result, we can extract the ICCAE features based on a convolution layer that is robust to illumination and environmental changes. Additionally, ICCAE features can perform faster feature matching than the features extracted from existing deep networks. To evaluate the performance of ICCAE feature-based place recognition, experiments were conducted using a public dataset that includes various conditions.
Injector tip wetting visualization under flash-boiling and non-flash boiling conditions

In spite of various research on the particulate matter emission reduction for the direct injection spark ignition engine, particulate number (PN) emission is still an unsolved challenge in automotive society. Among various reasons of PN emission, injector tip wetting by residual fuel after fuel injection is one of emerging issue because it is a main source of diffusion bum and injector tip fouling. In this study, mechanism of injector tip wetting under flash boiling and non-flash boiling condition was studied. In order to measure the quantity of wetted fuel on the surface of fuel injector, laser induced fluorescence (LIF) technique was used. The fluorescence signal was captured by an intensified CCD camera with long distance microscope. The excitation light source was 266 nm wave length Nd:YAG laser. Direct Mie-scattering image of injector step-hole and backlight image of near-hole spray were used to explain the mechanism of the phenomenon. For further study, the effect of injector nozzle outlet configuration on the injector tip wetting was explored with various fuel injectors which have various nozzle outlet configuration. In the result, step-hole showed negative effect on injector tip wetting. Especially, for the larger diameter step-hole case showed larger tip wetting area. Flash boiling conditions showed larger injector tip wetted area compared to that of non-flash boiling conditions. It was thought that higher near-nozzle spray angle was the reason of larger injector tip wetted area due to increased interaction of spray and step-hole outlet.
