Vol.37 No.2

This study is focused on attitudinal and behavioral changes of organizational members under context of organization cultural changes. That is, it tries to identify the factors that affect organizational members' behavior for participating and supporting in relation to organization changes when companies plan to settle down shared values as the code of conduct into the organizations so as to establish new organization culture. Data were collected from 748 full-time employees during Sep. and Oct. 2011, but 702 questionnaires were used to for analysis. Results indicate both transformational leadership and cognitive factors related to changes(change-related self-efficacy, positive expectancies to change outcome, and readiness for organizational change) have positive influence on organizational members' emotional commitment to organization change and behaviors of practicing shared values. Furthermore, organizational members' emotional commitment to organization change has mediating effect on the relationships between transformational leadership and their behaviors of practicing shared values. It also has mediating effect on the relationships between cognitive factors related to changes and organizational members' behaviors of practicing shared values. Finally, some implications of these findings are discussed and directions for future research are suggested.

Pilot study on efficacy and patient satisfaction with 1,450-nm laser boosting treatment after a thread lift procedure

Vol.6 No.1

Background: Polydioxanone used in thread lifting is mostly absorbed in skin tissues within six months, and its therapeutic effect diminishes gradually. However, we often experience a decrease in the effectiveness of thread lifting within 1–2 months. We performed a laser boosting treatment to maintain the long-term effect of thread lifting and reported its additional utility. Objective: To investigated the impact of laser boosting treatment on therapeutic effect and patient satisfaction after thread lifting during the first three months. Methods: This study was conducted between March and July, 2019. Severity of jawline and mouth corner sagging were graded by Merz Scale scores in seven middle-aged female patients. After the symmetrical thread lift procedure, 1,450-nm laser boosting treatment was applied to the side of the face with higher preoperative grade. Average pain scores at postoperative day (POD) 0, 3, and 7 were compared, including changes from POD 0 to POD 3 and 7. Face halves were compared regarding improvements in elasticity, skin tone, sagging of mouth corners, jawline sagging, overall satisfaction, and Merz Scale scores after three months. Results: All the patients showed improvements in elasticity, skin tone, sagging of mouth corners, and jawline sagging with improved overall patient satisfaction. During pain assessment, five of the seven patients showed greater changes in the laser-treated side at POD 3 and 7. Comparing the Merz Scale scores, there was a significant difference between pre-and post-treatment in jawline sagging and between jawline sagging and sagging of mouth corner in the laser-treated side. Conclusion: A 1,450‑nm laser boosting treatment can help reduce pain and discomfort during early stages after thread lifting and improve elasticity, skin tone, sagging of mouth corners, jawline sagging, and overall patient satisfaction. Laser boosting treatment should be actively considered during thread lift to improve sagging of the mouth corner and jawline. • HOW POWER AFFECTS CONSUMERS’FRAMING OF THE EFFECTS OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CONDUCTED BY LUXURY BRANDS

2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7

This research aims to look at the contradictory effects of corporate social responsibility as conducted by luxury brands. On the one hand, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is known to product positive effects on brands such as the transfer of goodwill and image but on the other hand because of the purported impact of disfluency, previous research has argued that the emphasis on self enhancement runs counter to the more social agenda of CSR. In this study we examine of power and how that can mediate when positive and negative impact of CSR when such campaigns are implemented by luxury brands.

Rejuvenating and contouring effect of bipolar fractional microneedle radiofrequency on the lower eyelid

Vol.6 No.1

Background: Fractional microneedle radiofrequency (FMR) devices are used for non-invasive facial rejuvenation, with aging lower eyelids a popular area for improvement. However, treating lax eyelid skin, particularly determining the exact depth to insert the needle, remains challenging. Objective: To evaluate Inus—an FMR device that uses a bipolar current with a specialized vacuum edge line for optimal needle insertion in lax skin—on aging lower eyelids. Methods: Eleven Korean women (22 eyes) with aging lower eyelids who visited the Seoul Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in 2017 were included. After applying topical anesthesia, an Inus disposable tip with 25 insulated microneedles was used on the lower lids and lateral canthal regions, including temporal hollows. Microneedles of depth 1.0 mm or 0.8 mm were used to apply FMR of 0.5 MHz or 2.0 MHz, respectively, to the entire lower lid during three sessions at 2-week intervals. Morphological and statistical analyses of changes in the horizontal palpebral width, canthal tilt, and distance of the lid-cheek junction were performed using pre-and postoperative photographs. Results: Improvements in lax, deflated, wrinkles on the lower eyelids with scarring, and syringoma were observed. The lower lid contour changed from round to straighter, indicating improved laxity. Decreased lid-cheek junction (p<0.05) and increased canthal tilt (p<0.05) and horizontal palpebral width (p<0.05) were estimated. The mild erythema disappeared within 1-2 days. Mild ectropion (one case) in the case of protruded eyes with thin skin and unexpected transverse wrinkles at the medial part of the lids (two cases) were observed. Conclusion: Total rejuvenation of aging lower lids without serious complications was demonstrated. Therefore, Inus is suitable for treating aging lower eyelids safely.

      • Improved Resistive Switching Reliability in Graded NiO Multilayer for Resistive Nonvolatile Memory Devices

        Myoung-Jae Lee,Chang Bum Lee,Dongsoo Lee,Seung Ryul Lee,Jihyun Hur,Seung-Eon Ahn,Man Chang,Young-Bae Kim,U-In Chung,Chang-Jung Kim,Dong-Sik Kim,Hosun Lee IEEE 2010 IEEE electron device letters Vol.31 No.7

An alternative approach of controlling bistable resistance switching in NiO was investigated. By fabricating a multilayer structure of three NiOx layers with varying oxygen content, bistable resistance switching could be localized. By varying the enveloping oxygen partial pressure during NiOx layer deposition from 10% to 30%, improved resistance and switching voltage distribution from cycle to cycle was achieved. In addition, more localized switching could emulate sub-100-nm-sized cells showing decreased reset current values on the order of 100 A. X-ray photon spectroscopy analysis shows a clear grading near the interfaces of successive NiO layers.

Effect of microneedle radiofrequency on scars of transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty

Vol.5 No.2

Despite the popularity of transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty (TLB) for the correction of the aged lower lids, ectropion, scar long the incision line, persistent skin laxity with fine wrinkles remain to be a huge setback associated with the procedure. With the advance of recent technologies, scar treatment methods using various kinds of devices have been widely adopted. Among them, fractional microneedle radiofrequency (FMR) has been proven to be highly effective on the improvement of acne scars, widened pores, and skin laxity by means of soft tissue regeneration. A fractional microneedle device called the InusTM developed in Korea exhibits unique properties of delivering bipolar radiofrequency current through specialized vacuum edge line for optimal needle insertion into highly sensitive areas such as the eyelid and the neck. Usage of the InusTM to treat patients experiencing complications from TLB have shown remarkable improvement in various aspects not only limited to the improved appearance of ectropion, scars, wrinkles, skin thickness and laxity, but also the contour of the eyelid and the overall facial volume, and shape. The report will delineate findings from three clinical cases that suggest the efficacy and safety of FMR on the rejuvenation of the lower lids.

A Study on the Interaction between Corporate Reputation and Negativity Framing on Consumer Evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility

Lee, Chungyeol,Chang, Dae Ryun,Kim, Nayeon,Lee, Hosun Korean Marketing Association 2016 ASIA MARKETING JOURNAL Vol.17 No.4

Do corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives lead to positive outcomes for companies? Although it is commonly accepted that CSR is a necessary component of modern marketing communication, the empirical evidence shows that that is not always the case. If CSR is sometimes not conducive to better marketing, it behooves firms to determine the right conditions that foster more effective CSR. It is in that vein that this study aims to add to the growing body of marketing and CSR literature through a series of experiments that examines the dynamics between prior attitude toward the company, the fit between the company and the CSR cause, and consumers' accessible thoughts. This study finds that the prior corporate reputation has an impact on how consumers evaluate the CSR activities of companies. Moreover, we show that the degree of accessible thoughts and their valence can change the moderating effect of the fit between the company and the CSR cause. This is because negative information is perceived as being more diagnostic than positive information in an evaluation situation. We demonstrate that companies that have lower prior public reputations can improve the evaluation of their CSR activities in two major ways: (1) by finding CSR causes that have a lower fit with their business, or (2) by providing information that allow consumers to access more positive thoughts about the CSR activity.
