E. coli A_2 diarrhea causing bacteria of pigs was anaerobically inoculated with 10^5/ml into prereduced YS medium (10% reconstituted skim milk+0.1% yeast extract), and then lactic acid bacteria were inoculated with 10^5/ml and 10^7ml into previous inoculated samples of E. coli A_2. Inoculated samples cultured at 37℃, were tested to determine changes in viable numbers of organisms and pH. The experimental results are summerized as follows: 1. In the mixed culture medium of 10^5/ml E. coli A_2 and L. casei YIT9018, E. coli A_2 decreased after 36 hours from incubation. 2. In the mixed culture medium of 10^5/ml E. coli A_2 and L. acidophilus, E. coli A_2 drastically decreased after 24 hours from incubation and was almost disappeared after 72 hours from incubation. 3. In the mixed culture medium of 10^5/ml E. coli A_2 and L. bulgaricus, E. coif A_2 drastically decreased after 24 hours from incubation and was almost disappeared after 72 hours from incubation. 4. In the mixed culture medium of 10^5/ml E. coli A_2 and Str. thermophilus, E. coli A_2 decreased after 12 hours from incubation. 5. When the pH value of the mixed culture, was, 4. 5 below, E. coli A_2 decreased.

Radiation-induced skin wound is a unwanted complication of radiation therapy in cancer patients. Because a putative potential stem cell population within the adipose tissue has been found to possess therapeutic potentials, we authors sought to determine the effect of adipose tissue-derived stem cells(ADSCs) on radiationinduce skin wound. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two groups. Adipose tissue-derived stem cells were isolated from the inguinal fat pads and expanded ex vivo for three passages. All groups received 25 Gy of gamma irradiation as a single dose to the back of the rats using a cobalt-60 teletherapy unit. After four weeks of radiation, syngeneic ADSCs were delivered into the subcutaneous area of irradiated wounded skin area in experimental group. Acute skin reactions were assessed and at the endpoint of the study. Light microscopic findings were assessed. Clinically and histopathologically, radiation skin reactions were lower than control group(p<0.05). ADSCs was found to be efficacious in preventing epidermal atrophy, dermal degeneration and hair follicle atrophy. In conclusion, ADSCs could be used as useful cell therapeutics to repair and regenerate the wound of irradiation damage.

This research was conducted to present the possibility of utilization as basic data and future genetic resources for planning for breeding and breeding direction planning for the preservation of the Gyeongsang National University (GNU) line through genetic diversity, genetic structure and character analysis of GNU line black goats, by using Microsatellite (MS) marker. A total of 247 Korean native black goats of four lines were used (Dang-jin; DJ : 68, Jang-su; JS : 80, Tong-yeong; TY : 71, GNU : 30), and a basic statistical analysis confirmed values suitable for the study. In addition, as a result of FIS analysis, it is thought that line differentiation is occurring in the case of the GNU line because it is farther away from 0 (-0.110), which is the standard of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, in a negative direction than other goat lines. Also , through Factor Correspondence Anlysis (FCA ) and STRUCTURE analysis , it has been determined that the GNU line displays a different genetic structure compared to other native black goat lines, indicating that there has been no genetic exchange or admixture. Therefore, in this study, it is judged that the GNU line is valuable as a future genetic resource and can be used as basic data for maintenance and conservation through planned breeding considering inbreeding rate.
구기자에서 큰이십팔점박이무당벌레(Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata)의 온도조건에 따른 발육특성과 친환경제재에 의한 방제효과

Host plants of the Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata are known as Solanaceae plants such as potato, tomato, eggplant and Lycium chinense. Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata (Motschulsky) cause continuous damage from early June to mid-August in leaves of L. chinense under environmental-friendly management in Cheongyang, Chungnam. The developmental period of egg and larva of H. vigintioctomaculata were investigated. H. vigintioctomaculata were reared on L. chinense at several temperatures, for example, 15, 20, 25 and 30°C in the laboratory. In addition, the control effect of 5 eco-friendly agricultural materials were examined. As results, hatching rate is the highest to 91% at 25°C. Egg periods were 10.8, 7.7, 5.1 and 3.7 days at each tested temperature, respectively. And the total developmental periods from egg to adult were 42.7, 26.3, 18.4 and 19.4 days at each tested temperature, respectively. Otherwise, their eclosion rates from pupa to adult were showed 58%, 77%, 85%, 65% at each tested temperature, respectively. As a result of the control effect, both adults and larvae of H. vigintioctomaculata were shown a high mortality to mixture with extract of Sophora flavescens, Chenopodium ambrosioides and Melia azedarach. Additional, larvae is shown high mortality to extract of Azadirachta indica and Cymbopogon nardus. Thus H. vigintioctomaculata might be controled by using plant extract of eco-friendly agricultural materials in due season.

The heat storage type combustion oxidation device is a system capable of treating VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) discharged to the atmosphere at 95% or more. Aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene are strong carcinogenic substances that cause leukemia, central nervous disorder, and chromosomal abnormalities, and hydrochloride causes destruction of the ozone layer and global warming. This VOCs reduction technology is expected to reduce the number of harmful substances generated for many operating and working conditions. This paper implements a 100CMM Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO) device to reduce air pollution in VOCs generating sites. The carbon-free system is evaluated by measuring the concentration of the VOCs emission gas according to the operating conditions of the production process, analyzing and measuring the THC (Total Hydro-carbons) concentration change. As a result, through the 100CMM RTO experiment, stable RTO driving, renewable energy measurement, and hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides can be reduced.

Silver chlorobromoiodide cubic seed emulsion was prepared'in the presence of ammonia and phenylcarbamyl gelatin solution. When benzenethiosulfonate sodium salt (BTS) and 4-hydroxy6-methyl-1,3,3a,7-tetraazaindene (TAI), as growth modifiers, were added in the seed emulsion, the silver halide microcrystals were obtained in the forms of cubo-octahedrons, octahedrons, rhombic dodecahedron by variation of pAg value through controlled double jet. The crystal habits and shapes were determined by means of X-ray diffraction (D/MAX BIB, Rigaku) and electron microscopy (JSM-840, JEOL), respectively.
