        도시열섬현상 완화를 위한 녹지네트워크 및 바람길 구축

        Like other organic beings, modern cities change every day. Unlike in the past, changes of space which have been taking place in concentrated spaces during short periods of time have worsened the environment of cities creating environmental problems. In particular, the urban heat-island phenomenon, which is caused by changes in using the earth`s surface, has emerged as a key social issue along with health problems and economic difficulties. The Green Network has been introduced as an urban planning approach to solve the urban heat-island phenomenon. This study suggests constructing a Green Network through analyzing the urban heat island phenomenon, land cover classification, and linkage possibility with the Green Network and wind corridors by researching Jung-Gu, and Nam-Gu in Daegu Metropolitan City. In conclusion, this study presented the construction of a broad and detailed Green Network of object areas by assigning Apsan to the southern area and mountain area as the core, two areas of Nam-Gu and six areas of Jung-Gu such as Duryu Park and, Dalsung Park as footholds and other school land and park facility areas as footholds-to-be areas. In particular, Camp Walker, which is connected with Apsan, is not only a foothold but connected to the core, is necessary to preserve after being transferred from the U.S. Army. In addition, assigning the Susung Bridge area of Jung-Gu and the Camp Walker area of Nam-Gu as the wind corridor areas is recommended.

      • Anti-Proliferative Effect of an Aqueous Extract of <i>Prunella vulgaris</i> in Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

        <P>The abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in arterial walls is an important pathogenic factor of vascular disorders such as diabetic atherosclerosis. We have reported the anti-inflammatory effect of an aqueous extract from <I>Prunella vulgaris</I> (APV) in vascular endothelial cell. In the present study, APV exhibited inhibitory effects on high glucose-stimulated VSMC proliferation, migration, and invasion activities, inducing G<SUB>1</SUB> cell cycle arrest with downregulation of cyclins and CDKs and upregulation of the CKIs, p21<SUP>waf1/cip1</SUP> and p27<SUP>kip1</SUP>. Furthermore, APV dose dependently suppressed the high glucose-induced matrix metalloproteinase activity. High glucose-induced phosphorylation of ERK, p38 MAPK, was decreased by the pretreatment of APV. NF-<I><I>κ</I></I>B activation by high glucose was attenuated by APV, as an antioxidant. APV attenuated the high glucose-induced decrease of nuclear factor E2-related factor-2 (Nrf2) translocation and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) expression. Intracellular cGMP level was also increased by APV treatment. These results demonstrate that APV may inhibit VSMC proliferation via downregulating ROS/NF-<I><I>κ</I></I>B /ERK/p38 MAPK pathways. In addition, APV has a beneficial effect by the interaction of Nrf2-mediated NO/cGMP with HO-1, suggesting that <I>Prunella vulgaris</I> may be useful in preventing diabetic atherosclerosis.</P>

        수무지 다지증의 교정

        There has been steady decrease in the number of traumatic injuries and inflammatory diseases of the hand, hence, the relative percentage of congenital malformation of the hand is becoming greater. The most common congenital anomaly of the hand is polydactyly and the principal goal of correction is the accurate establishment of the longitudinal skeletal axis. We have experienced 11 cases of duplicted thumbs and type IV by Wassel's classification was the most common type. For surgical correction, we used bone -ligament flap for joint rein forcement. Unnecessary metacarpal head was trimmed on both sides for centralization. We obtained a favorable results.

      • 低濃度 Cr-Mo 合金鋼에 있어서 熱 cycle 處理가 粒狀化에 미치는 高溫加工燒入의 影響

        Low-concentration Cr-Mo steel was treated by repeated thermal-cycling below Ac?? temperature after hot work-quenching in order to investigate the effect of hot work-quenching on spheroidization of carbide by martensite decomposition and on their mechanical properties. The changes of the microstructure comparing with working degree and thermal cycle change, hardness and tensile strength were investigated after repeated thermal cycling. The experimental results obtained were as follows; (1) When the repeated thermal cycling treated after hot work-quenching, the spheroidization of carbide and the number of fine spherical carbide were enhanced with increasing the number of thermal cycle and working degree. But the rate of increase was more noticeable in the range of 20% working and 30thermal cycle, and the decreasing effect of the hardness and tensile-strength were also good in this ranges. (2) The size and distribution of precipitated carbide were finner and more uniform in hot work-quenched specimens and the spheroidization of carbides in the steel was more rapid. (3) The spheroidization of carbides with repeated thermal cycling treatment after hot work-quenching were represented over 90% due to the effect of alloying elements Cr, and Mo which accelerated the spheroidization rate and the increasing effect of internal crystal lattice defect which accelerated the rate of spheroidization of carbides.

      • 대규모 멀티컴퓨터의 유동적 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 환경의 설계 및 구현

        본 논문은 대규모 분산 메모리 병렬컴퓨터의 유동적인 설계 및 성능 분석, 그리고 연관된 병렬 프로그램의 개발을 위한 병렬컴퓨터 시뮬레이터의 설계와 구현에 대해 논한다. 또한, 구현된 시뮬레이터의 기능 및 성능을 실제 하드웨어 환경을 바탕으로 검증한 결과를 기술한다. 본 시뮬레이션 시스템을 이용하여 가상 병렬 컴퓨터 구조를 정의하고 실제의 사용자 병렬 프로그램을 입력, 실행하여, 병렬 프로그램의 실제 출력을 얻음과 동시에, 설계한 가상 병렬 컴퓨터의 성능을 분석, 평가할 수 있다.

        컴퓨터 단말기 업무자의 요통의 위험요인에 관한 연구

        Low back pain in computer terminal operators is a very common but important symptom. While the occupational risk factors of low back pain were approved obscurely, there have been few studies on analysis or understanding of occupational risk factors. Therefore, we studied occupational risk factors of low back pain, especially for ergonomic factors as well as general characteristics of workers. We selected 98 subjects for this study, computer terminal operators ordinary using computers in Pusan. We calculated the subjective severity of low back pain of each operator by the Low Back Pain Scoring System. The relation of low back pain score to general characteristics of worker was also analyzed. We analyzed the relationship between low back pain score and individual efforts to prevent low back pain. We measured the ergonomic factors of each computer terminal operator-Trunk Inclination(TI), Arm Flexion(AF), Elbow Angle(EA), Head Tilting(HT), Knee Angle(KA), using of foot plate and gap between the popliteum and chair. The correlations between these ergonomic factors and low back pain score were then analyzed. And the results are as follows: 1. The prevalence rate of low back pain in computer terminal operators was 39.8% in this study, when low back pain score was converted by the low back pain scoring system. 2. According to general characteristics of workers related to low back pain, the scores were higher in the older age group, the married and the longer work carriers.(p<0.05) 3. In the analysis of the relationship between low back pain score and individual effort to prevent low back pain, regular exercise, history of schooling for prevention of low back pain, and declaration of intention to participate in low back pain education or exercise were stastistically significant(p<0.05). And the more severe the low back pain, the higher the intention to participate in low back pain education they had in this study. 4. In the analyses of relationships or correlations between low back pain score and each of the 7 categories of ergonomic factors, only head tilting had a weak reverse correlation with low back pain(r=0.2999, p<0.01). From now on, cohort studies for the risk factors of low back pain of workers, who have been forced to work in non-ergonomical positioning at the work site, will be necessary. On the background of these ergonomic studies, the occupational health profession should be required to manage ergonomic working conditions.

      • RC 프레임면내 조적채움벽의 내진성능 평가에 관한 실험적 연구

        The objectives of this study are 1) to find out the shear behavior and shear capacity of RC bare frames, brick-infilled RC frames, 2) to evaluate the equation of the shear capacity of two types of RC frames by comparison the Japanese Standard and modified equation adopting the test results. The main variable is the absence of brick infill wall. The test results show that the shear capacity of specimen IF-4.2 is 2.3 times as high as that of the specimen IF-4.2.The shear behavior of RC bare frame which is governed by predominant flexural yielding is changed to predominant shear yielding by affection of the brick infill wall. A comparison of the results obtained by the Japanese Standard equation and the modified equation to the test data indicates that the proposed equation is compatible with the test results.
