        Combining Timber Production and Wood Processing for Increasing Forestry Income: A Case Study of 6th Industrialization in Korean Forestry

        This study was aimed to analyze the increased forestry incomes by combining timber production and wood processing, which is one of 6th industrialization types in Korean forestry. The selected household has been engaged in forestry for two generations and they produce timber and associated wood products in their own facility. The wood products include dimension lumber, interior wood material, cutting board, and cube chips, the household also utilize logging and sawmill residues as well as seed and seedlings as by-products. Incomes and expenses that have been incurred on individual processes of the sequential timber production and wood processing were surveyed, and we analyzed the economic outcomes of entire business. The results of this study indicate that the gross income of the household is 122.3 million Korean won and the net income is 93.6 million Korean won. The net income of the household is approximately 2.8 times higher than the average net income of whole households in the forestry of Korea in 2016, which is approximately 4.3 times higher than that of households that have been particularly engaged in timber production over the country. We found that the 6th industrialization by combining the two sequential processes creates approximately 3.2 times as much added value compared to the case relying on timber production only.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the salt on the physical and chemical properties of marine clay based on the experiments such as specific gravity, grain-size analysis, consistency limit and PH test. The main results of this study are summarized as fellows. 1) The specific gravity of soil containing salt was greater than saltless soil and the specific gravity of soil containing salt was found to be decreased with desalting soil. 2) Due to floculation by the effect of salt, the grain size of marine, soil was found bigger than original grain size and passing percent also was more then 100% 3) The values of liquid were decreased by 7 ∼ 16%, plastic limit 0 ∼ 10%, with the increase of salt content. 4) The PH value was increased by 9.7 as 1% Na_2CO_3 was added. But when Na_2CO_3 was added more than 1%, the increase of PH value was little, with the increase of Na_2CO_3 content. And quantity of NaCl did not appear to influence PH value of sample soil and soil containing Na_2CO_3.

      • 합병증이 동반된 Meckel씨 게실 2례 보고

        합병증이 동반된 Meckel씨 게실을 가진 환자의 치료에 대한 필요성은 과정이 문제이다. 하지만 우연히 만나는 게실의 처치는 논란 중이다. 부수적인 게실 절제술(incidental diverticulectomy)의 제안자는 증상이 있는 게실의 외과적 처치는 중요한 이환 및 사망률은 지적한다. 이를 반대하는 사람들은 전 생애를 통해 합병증의 위험성이 낮게 나타나므로 필요가 없다고한다. 게실의 예방적 제거는 개복술시 우연히 발견 될 때 시행한다. 이는 남아있는 게실이 나중에 합병증을 일으키는 것보다 술후 합병증의 위험성이 매우 적음을 알 수 있다. 저자들은 합병증이 동반된 Meckel씨 게실 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 더불어 보고하는 바이다. The necessity for therapy with complicated Meckel's diverticular is a matter of course.However, management of the incidentally encountered diverticulum is controversial. Proponents of incidental diverticulectomy point to the significant morbidity and mortality rates of surgical treatment of symptomatic divenicular. Other authors base their opposition to incidental diveniculectomy on the low risk of complications developing during lifetime. Prophyillctic removal of the diveniculum is indicated when it is found incidentally at laparotomy, because there are few postoperative complications and the risk exists that the remaining diverticulum may be the cause of later complication. The 2 cases of complicated Meckel's diverticulum are reported with a brief review of literature.

      • 정신분열병의 생물학적 원인

        The authors reviewed the biological etiologies of schizophrenic disorder such as genetic, viral, neurodevelopmental, neural network, sunspots and cerebral diabetic hypothesis. The etiology of schizophrenic disorder remains to be confirmed. Although genetic possibilities were suggested by many investigators, the genetic genes and their transmission methods have not been clarified yet. The neurodevelopmental hypothesis was reviewed in detail. This hypothesis includes genetic hypothesis, viral hypothesis, obstetrical complication hypothesis, neutritional deficience theory, NMDA receptor hypofunction theory and neural network theory. The neurdevelopmental hypothesis means that several developmental trajectories, related to early brain insults as well as the genetic factors affection postnatal neurodevelopment, possibly lead to this illness. An excessive pruning of the prefrontal corticocortical, and corticosubcortical synapses, perhaps involving the excitatory glutaminergic inputs to pyramidal neurons, may underlie schizophrenia.

      • 셀 제조시스템에 있어서 비유사도를 이용한 기계셀과 부품그룹의 동시형성방법

        The success of cell manufacturing applications in FMS rests on the effective cell formation to maintain the independent relations both between machine cells and between part families. This paper presents an integrated method for concurrent formation of cells and families with no E.E(Exceptional Element) in FMS with alternative routings. To determine the maximum number of cell and family with no E.E, mathematical conditions and theorems are derived. New concept of nonsimilarity is introduced for each machine and part based on machine-operation incidence matrix and part-operation incidence matrix. To concurrently form the cells and families, integer programming based mathematical models are developed. For the predetermined number of cell or family, model 1 is used to identify whether E.E exists or not. Model 2 forms cells and families considering only nonsimilarity. But model 3 can consider nonsimilarity and processing times. The proposed method is tested and proved using numerical examples.

      • 광섬유를 이용한 전류센서의 개발(Ⅲ)

        Fabry-Perot 간섭계 형성기술 및 광 신호처리기술을 기초로 하여, 독자적인 역량으로 광섬유 전류센서를 개발하였다. 또한 미소 압력변화를 감지할 수 있는 고감도 압력센서에 응용하였다. 압전체인 PZT를 이용한 Fabry-Perot 간섭형 전류센서를 제조하였으며, 제조된 전류센서는 20 A까지 선형적인 응답특성을 나타내었다. 또한 전류센서의 특성개선을 위해 주파수가 큰 클럭을 사용하여 감도를 향상시켰다. 광섬유 전류센서시스템 제작에는 Zero-crossing 기법으로 PC와 연결된 간단한 전류센서용 신호처리회로를 제작하였다. 이 시스템에서는 100여개의 데이타를 받아들여 처리할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 전류센서의 신뢰도를 높였다. 신호처리가 손쉬운 optical isolator와 경제적인 면에서 매운 유리한 time division multiplexing법을 이용한 다점측정식 전류센서를 설계하였다. Micro-cavity형 간섭계의 제조 및 특성조사에는 Si_3N_4/SiO_2/Si_3N_4 유전체 다이아프레임 박막을 가지는 광섬유 Fabry-Perot 간섭계를 제조하였으며 압력센서에 응용하였다. The development of fiber optic current sensor was carried out soley at KNU on the basis of the research on the formation technology of Fabry-Perot interferometer and optical system for the third year of the project. Additionally, micro-cavity type was fabricated. The works achieved in this project are expected to contribute to development of the domestic fiber optic sensor technology. The current sensor of the Fabry-Perot interferometric type using PZT plate show good lineality in the current range of 0∼20A. Besides the characteristics of the current sensor were improved by usage of high frequency clock, and fabricated multiple current sensor using the optical isolator and time division multiplexing. In the manufacture of the fiber optic current sensor system, designed of the fiber optic current sensor system with the connection of a new and simple signal processing circuit containing a comparator and counter to PC interface card. The micro-cavity type interferometer using IC process technique have been studied. The fiber optic interferometer with stress-free NON dielectric diaphragm thin film was applied to pressure sensor.
