Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) from a traumatic carotid-cavernous fistula (CCF) is a rare occurrence with few cases reported in the literature. Patients classically present shortly after the inciting trauma with symptoms of ocular venous hypertension. We report a case of an ICH due to delayed rupture of a venous aneurysm from a CCF in a patient with decades-old history of enucleation of the left globe secondary to trauma with no sentinel symptoms. Our patient represents a unique presentation of a rare pathology. This case highlights the need for ongoing surveillance in patients with a history of severe craniofacial trauma, as ICH from ruptured CCF(s) demands emergent treatment due to the potential for rapid neurological deterioration.
Increase of the Transdermal Penetration of Testosterone by Miconazole Nitrate

Miconazole nitrate is an imidazole derivative used to treat skin disorders caused by fungi. The aim of this study was to investigate in a systematic way whether miconazole nitrate can have skin penetration enhancing properties. Using Franz diffusion cells, three representative model compounds (caffeine, testosterone and ibuprofen) were applied to human skin as 10 mM aqueous-ethanolic solutions with or without 1 mM of miconazole nitrate. The apparent permeability coefficient Kp for each of the model compounds was determined with and without miconazole nitrate. While a statistically significant penetration enhancement effect of 33% was found for testosterone, no overall statistically significant effect could be demonstrated for caffeine and ibuprofen. The increase in skin permeability of testosterone is mainly due to an improved partitioning from the dose solution into the skin, thereby resulting in a higher delivery through the human skin. Our results indicate that miconazole can act as a penetration enhancer.
What Sets the Massive Star Formation Rates and Efficiencies of Giant Molecular Clouds?

<P>Galactic star formation scaling relations show increased scatter from kpc to sub-kpc scales. Investigating this scatter may hold important clues to how the star formation process evolves in time and space. Here, we combine different molecular gas tracers, different star formation indicators probing distinct populations of massive stars, and knowledge of. the evolutionary state of each star-forming region to derive the. star formation properties of similar to 150 star-forming complexes over the face of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). We find that the rate of massive star formation ramps up when stellar clusters emerge and boost the formation of subsequent generations of massive stars. In addition, we reveal that the star formation efficiency of individual giant molecular clouds (GMCs) declines with increasing cloud gas mass (M-cloud). This trend persists in Galactic star-forming regions. and implies higher molecular gas depletion times for larger GMCs. We compare the star formation efficiency per freefall time (epsilon(ff)) with predictions from various widely used analytical star formation models. While these models can produce large dispersions in epsilon(ff) similar to those in. observations, the origin of the model-predicted scatter is inconsistent with observations. Moreover, all models fail to reproduce the observed decline of epsilon(ff) with increasing M-cloud in the LMC and the Milky Way. We conclude that analytical star formation models idealizing global turbulence levels and. cloud densities. and assuming a stationary star formation rate (SFR) are inconsistent with observations from modern data sets tracing massive star formation on individual cloud scales. Instead, we reiterate the importance of local stellar feedback in shaping the properties of GMCs and setting their massive SFR.</P>

Porous titanium implants can be produced by powder metallurgy in combination with suitable space holder materials. Various mechanical experiments were done to characterize this material regarding the influence of the processing parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties taking into account the properties of the human bone. In this paper, the anistropic behaviour of uniaxially compacted samples was analysed in compression tests and compared to the behaviour of isostatically pressed samples. The failure of the struts of the porous titanium and the crack- initiation and -growth was examined by in-situ SEM analysis.
Complications of olecranon osteotomy in the treatment of distal humerus fracture

Distal humerus fractures (DHFs) are challenging to treat due to the locally complex osseous and soft tissue anatomy. Adequate exposure of the articular surface of the distal humerus is crucial when performing an anatomical reconstruction of the elbow. Even though “triceps-on” approaches are gaining popularity, one of the most commonly used surgical treatments for DHF is olecranon osteotomy. The incidence of complications related to this approach is unclear. This review was performed to assess the type and frequency of complications that occur with the olecranon osteotomy approach in the treatment of DHF. A literature search was conducted in the PubMed/Medline, Embase, and Cochrane Library digital databases up to February 2020. Only English articles describing complications of olecranon osteotomy in the treatment of DHF were included. Data on patient and surgical characteristics and complications were extracted. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. A total of 41 articles describing 1,700 osteotomies were included, and a total of 447 complications were reported. Of these 447 complications, wound infections occurred in 4.2% of osteotomies, of which 1.4% were deep infections and 2.8% were superficial. Problems related with union occurred in 3.7% of osteotomies, 2% of which represented non-union and 1.7% delayed union. The high risk of complications in olecranon osteotomy must be considered in the decision to perform this procedure in the treatment of DHF.
Website Quality, E-satisfaction, and E-loyalty of Users Based on The Virtual Distribution Channel

Purpose: Technology induces the virtual distribution channel to exist, especially for booking a room online. This situation, indeed, provides an alternative for the customers to book based on their budget through digital platforms. One platform offering competitive prices is virtual hotel operators, such as Airbnb, OYO, RedDoorz, and Airy Rooms. Preferably, after using their platform, the user should be satisfied and loyal. Hence, this investigation aims to prove some associations. The first is between e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. The second is between website quality and e-satisfaction. The final is between website quality and e-loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology: This study is quantitatively designed with the sample of 350 users of the virtual hotel operator applications in Bandar Lampung: Airbnb, OYO, RedDoorz, and Airy, as the samples. Therefore, by denoting this sample size, the structural equation model based on covariance is utilized to examine the three hypotheses proposed. Also, to get the responses, this study uses a survey through a questionnaire. Result: This investigation demonstrates the positive relationship between e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Additionally, website quality positively associates with e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Conclusion: The virtual hotel operators must have the superiority on their website-based application to update the information based on the room availability and price, ensure online transaction safety, and facilitate its utilization to maintain long-term satisfaction and loyalty virtually.

Decision support systems are a key focus of research on developing control rooms to aid operators inmaking reliable decisions and reducing incidents caused by human errors. For this purpose, models ofcomplex systems can be developed to diagnose causes or consequences for specific alarms. Modelsapplied in safety systems of complex and safety-critical systems require rigorous and reliable modelbuilding and testing. Multilevel flow modeling is a qualitative and discrete method for diagnosing faultsand has previously only been validated by subjective and qualitative means. To ensure reliability duringoperation, this work aims to synthesize a procedure to measure model performance according todiagnostic requirements. A simple procedure is proposed for validating and evaluating the concept ofmultilevel flow modeling. For this purpose, expert statements, dynamic process simulations, and pilotplant experiments are used for validation of simple multilevel flow modeling models of a hydrocycloneunit for oil removal from produced water.

This research intends to examine and analyze the service quality effect on petrol buying intention through satisfaction when the Maranatha Christian University lecturers spend their money in the Pertamina-affiliated gas stations in Bandung. To attain this goal, we develop four relevant hypotheses to be tested. Furthermore, we use simple random sampling to acquire samples by denoting a sample size set by the Slovin formula. To collect the responses, we use the online survey and fruitfully yield a 53.54% rate with a total of 106 lecturers participating in completing the distributed questionnaire link. This number is near 100; hence, we employ a structural equation model with a variance basis to analyze them. After examining the data and conferring the results, we conclude three things. First, service quality does not affect purchasing intention, but customer satisfaction positively does. Second, service quality has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Finally, consumer satisfaction successfully mediates the effect of service quality on the intention to buy. Based on these conclusions, this paper finds the superior service to the petrol buyers is the key driver for the gas stations under Pertamina control to effectively compete with their rivals in the marketplace, especially in Bandung.
