Effect of Vitamin E on Production Performance and Egg Quality Traits in Indian Native Kadaknath Hen
Biswas, Avishek,Mohan, J.,Sastry, K.V.H. Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2010 Animal Bioscience Vol.23 No.3
This experiment investigated the effects of increasing dietary vitamin E (VE) on production performance and egg quality traits of Indian reared Kadaknath (KN) hens. One hundred and eighty (180), day old female KN chicks were randomly distributed to three dietary treatment groups for a period of 30 weeks. Each treatment comprised three replicates, each containing 20 chicks. The basal diet ($T_1$) contained 15 IU VE/kg and the two experimental diets were supplemented with 150 and 300 IU VE/kg (diets $T_2$ and $T_3$, respectively). DL-${\alpha}$-tocopherol acetate was used as the source of VE. All chicks were provided feed and water ad libitum. Production performance in terms of body weight, egg weight and hatchability did not differ significantly (p>0.05), whereas sexual maturity, egg production and fertility differed significantly (p<0.05) in $T_2$ compared to the other two groups. Egg quality traits in terms of albumin weight, yolk weight, shell thickness, albumin index and yolk index did not differ significantly (p>0.05), whereas the Haugh unit score was significantly higher (p<0.05) in $T_2$ than the control ($T_1$) and high dose treatment group ($T_3$). From this study, it can be concluded that lower levels of dietary VE may be beneficial for production performance and Haugh unit score but have no effect on egg quality traits in Indian reared KN hens.
Synthesis of Ibuprofen Conjugated Molecular Transporter Capable of Enhanced Brain Penetration
Biswas, Goutam,Kim, Wanil,Kim, Kyong-Tai,Cho, Junhwi,Jeong, Dongjun,Song, Keon-Hyoung,Im, Jungkyun Hindawi Limited 2017 Journal of chemistry Vol.2017 No.-
<P>Based on the strong evidences between inflammation and neurodegeneration, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen, are considered as effective agents to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. However, the clinical use of NSAIDs in these diseases is limited by low brain distribution. In this study, we had synthesized ibuprofen conjugate which has good brain penetration.<I> S</I>-(+)-Ibuprofen was covalently attached to a molecular transporter having FITC and eight terminal guanidine groups. This conjugate showed good cellular uptake property in live cells. It was also injected into a mouse and the distribution of the compound was examined in each organ. The conjugate was well delivered to mouse brain indicating the conjugate is able to cross the blood-brain barrier. Our novel synthetic ibuprofen conjugate will hopefully deliver other NSAIDs into brain and is therefore applicable to the neurodegenerative diseases treatment or prevention.</P>

In the paper we establish some new results depending on the comparative growth properties of composite entire and meromorphic functions using relative (p, q, t)L-th order and relative (p, q, t)L-th type of entire and meromorphic function with respect to another entire function.

In the present study, asymmetric rolling was carried out for incorporating a shear component during the rolling at different temperatures, and was compared with conventional (symmetric) rolling. The microstructures were investigated using electron back-scatter diffraction (EBSD). The strain incorporated was compared with the help of grain orientation spread (GOS). GOS was eventually used as a criterion to partition the microstructure for separating the deformed and the dynamically recrystallized (DRX) grains. The texture of the partitioned DRX grains was shifted by ~30o along the c-axis from the deformed grains. The mechanism of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) has been identified as continuous dynamic recovery and recrystallization (CDRR). The partitioned deformed grains for the higher temperature rolled specimens exhibited a texture similar to the room temperature rolled specimen. The asymmetric rolling introduces a shear component which shifts the texture fibre by ~5-10o from the conventional rolling texture. This led to an increase in ductility with little compromise on strength.

Influences of Japanese green tea powder (GTP) supplementation to commercial diet on laying performance and egg quality were studied by using 60 laying hens. The experimental diet with or without 0.6% GTP was given ad libitum to the birds during the period from 6 to 71 weeks of age. The birds started egg production from 21 wk of age regardless GTP feeding. Body weight, feed intake, egg weight tended to decrease with GTP supplementation, while egg production rate tended to increase. Haugh unit score was significantly increased with GTP, which accompanied with the increased albumen height. These were observed almost throughout the laying period over 50 wk. Gel proportion in thick albumen was decreased as storage time is prolonged, then higher values of the gel proportion were recorded in the eggs from GTP group. Thick albumen of the eggs from GTP-fed layers had more carbohydrate than that from control layers. All these indicate physical stability of thick albumen in the eggs from GTP group. Thiobarbituric acid content of egg yolk tended to remain lower in the eggs from GTP group during 5-10 days of storage at room temperature. Levels of egg yolk cholesterol and yolk lipid were significantly reduced by GTP feeding. There were no significant differences in eggshell weight, shell thickness and shell strength between the two groups. Thyroid gland and liver from hens slaughtered at 71 wk of age did not differ in weight irrespective of GTP feeding. The present results suggest that GTP could modify components of edible part of egg, leading to the characteristics favourable to consumers such as high durability of thick albumen and less cholesterol in yolk, without altering general performance of the layers throughout this year round experiment.

Bangladeshi indigenous chickens of mixed ages vaccinated twice at a three week interval with either conventional vaccines-$F_1$ (ocular) and M (mukteswar, Intramuscular), or heat resistant $V_4$ vaccine administered by either the ocular or oral routes, all showed satisfactory hemagglutination inhibition antibody (HI) responses and protection against Newcastle Disease (NCD) challenge persisting for four months. The antibody response to $F_1$ and M was higher than for $V_4$, which was similar whether administered by the ocular or oral routes. All vaccinated treatments have a significant level of protection compare to the control group (p<0.01). No significant difference (p>0.05) in the protection against controlled challenge with virulent NCD virus was found between vaccinated groups.

In this paper we wish to prove some results relating to the growth rates of composite entire and meromorphic functions with their corresponding left and right factors on the basis of their generalized order (, ) and generalized lower order (, ), where and are continuous non-negative functions defined on (-∞, +∞).
