• Study on Dust Particle Deposition Movement in Pipe of FF System

Fan bailin,Huang ganghan,Wang Hongwei,Shan Quanfeng 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.9 No.2

The Particle deposition position and subside curve equation was studied. Particle depositing Para-curve formula was generated through the dust particle dynamic analysis in the pipe. Settlement nephogram and the trajectory curve of dust particle were obtained by FLUENT numerical simulation. Depositing velocity of particle was simulated and the simulation results, the calculated results and the experimental result were compared and analyzed. The particle motion was reflected by coordinate equation and parabolic curves were drawn for the particle No.65 in the z direction. Various depositing velocities in horizontal rectangle pipe under different particle diameter and flow velocity circumstances were compared to summarize motion patterns.

Evaluation of Sea Surface Temperature-Dependent Whitecap Coverage Parameterizations Using In Situ Data

Min Liu,Bailin Yang 한국해양과학기술원 2022 Ocean science journal Vol.57 No.2

This study aims to evaluate previous parameterizations of whitecap coverage (W) based on in-situ observational datasets. Ten-meter wind speed measurements over the sea surface (U10) have been the most traditional and effective method of estimating W. A secondary variable—sea surface temperature (Tw)—is considered for better parameterization of W. A non-monotonic relationship is found between the W and Tw because all the coefficients and exponent in the W-U10 power-law fit are Tw-dependent. Therefore, replacing the fixed slope variable of the power-law fit with the positively or negatively Tw-dependent function does not result in significant improvements. When the Tw-dependent coefficients and exponent are embedded in the W parameterization, a better estimation of W is obtained. Tw related parameter of wind-sea Reynolds number contains wavefield information, which is also related to Tw, making wind-sea Reynolds number an optional parameter for estimating W. We suggest that further improvement of W (U10, Tw) parameterization requires consideration of more wavefield information.

Decomposition and Reconstruction of Protein Sequences: The Problem of Uniqueness and Factorizable Langauge

Xiaoli Shi,Bailin Hao,Huimin Xie,Shuyu Zhang 한국물리학회 2007 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.50 No.1I

In our attempt to justify the CVTree approach of inferring phylogenetic relationship among bacteria from their complete genomes without using sequence alignment, we encountered the problem of the uniqueness of the reconstruction of a protein sequence from its constituent K-peptides, which has a natural relation to a well-understood problem in graph theory, namely, the number of Eulerian loops in a graph. The existence of finite state automata to recognize the uniqueness of a sequence reconstruction provides us with yet another application of factorizable language, which was elucidated at a previous Dynamics Days Asia Pacific meeting (DDAP1).

Haloes at the ragged edge: the importance of the splashback radius

        Snaith, O. N.,Bailin, J.,Knebe, A.,Stinson, G.,Wadsley, J.,Couchman, H. Oxford University Press 2017 MONTHLY NOTICES- ROYAL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY Vol.472 No.3

We have explored the outskirts of dark matter haloes out to 2.5 times the virial radius using a large sample of haloes drawn from Illustris, along with a set of zoom simulations (MUGS). Using these, we make a systematic exploration of the shape profile beyond Rvir. In the mean sphericity profile of Illustris haloes, we identify a dip close to the virial radius, which is robust across a broad range of masses and infall rates. The inner edge of this feature may be related to the virial radius and the outer edge with the splashback radius. Due to the high halo-to-halo variation, this result is visible only on average. However, in four individual haloes in the MUGS sample, a decrease in the sphericity and a subsequent recovery is evident close to the splashback radius. We find that this feature persists for several Gyr, growing with the halo. This feature appears at the interface between the spherical halo density distribution and the filamentary structure in the environment. The shape feature is strongest when there is a high rate of infall, implying that the effect is due to the mixing of accreting and virializing material. The filamentary velocity field becomes rapidlymixed in the halo region inside the virial radius, with the area between this and the splashback radius serving as the transition region. We also identify a long-lasting and smoothly evolving splashback region in the radial density gradient in many of the MUGS haloes.

Short- and mid-term outcomes of transanal versus laparoscopic total mesorectal excision for low rectal cancer: a meta-analysis

        Jingqing Ren,Huixing Luo,Shaojie Liu,Bailin Wang,Fan Wu 대한외과학회 2021 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.100 No.2

Purpose: The current meta-analysis combining mid and low rectal cancer with no meta-analysis only for low rectal cancer was seen. This meta-analysis was to compare the short- and mid-term outcomes of the transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) vs. laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (LaTME) for low rectal cancer. Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted using the web-based databases; China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese BioMedical Database, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Wanfang Database. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were evaluated using the Jadad scale and non-RCTs (NRCs) were evaluated using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale. Results: Ten studies (2 RCTs and 8 NRCs) involving 772 patients were included. Among them, 378 patients underwent TaTME and 394 patients underwent LaTME. Compared with the LaTME group, the conversion rate was low (risk ratio [RR], 0.25; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.11–0.54; P < 0.001), the circumferential resection margin (CRM) involvement was low (RR, 0.48; 95% CI, 0.27–0.86; P = 0.010), and the hospital stay was short (mean difference, –1.72; 95% CI, –2.89 to –0.55; P = 0.004) in the TaTME group. No significant differences were seen in the mesorectal resection quality, CRM distance, distal resection margin (DRM) involvement, DRM distance, local R1 resection, intraoperative complications, morbidity, anastomotic leakage, severe morbidity, mortality, operative time, intraoperative blood loss, harvested lymph nodes, and local recurrence rate (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The TaTME is a promising surgical technique and is fully a safe and efficacious option in managing low rectal cancer.
