Synthesis, Antibacterial, Docking and Anticancer Evaluation of N-Substituted Benzoyl Derivatives
Arthi, P.,Shobana, S.,Srinivasan, P.,Rahiman, A. Kalilur The Basic Science Institute Chosun University 2014 조선자연과학논문집 Vol.7 No.4
A series of N-benzoylated ligands incorporating three different benzoyl groups 2,2'-(benzoyliminodiethylene)-4-substituted phenols ($L^{1,4,7}$), 2,2'-(4-nitrobenzoyliminodiethylene)-4-substituted phenols ($L^{2,5,8}$) and 2,2'-(3,5-dinitrobenzoyliminodiethylene)-4-substituted phenols ($L^{3,6,9}$) were synthesized and characterized by IR, $^1H$ NMR, $^{13}C$ NMR and mass spectroscopy. The In vitro antibacterial activity of investigated ligands were tested against human pathogenic bacteria such as four Gram (-) Enterococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholera, Vibrio harveyi and two Gram (+) Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans. Furthermore, docking studies were undertaken to gain insight into the possible binding mode of these compounds with the binding site of the topoisomerase II (PDB: 4FM9) enzyme which is involved in DNA superhelicity and chromosome seggregation. The N-benzoylated derivatives $L^{5,7,8}$ have significant anticancer activity as Topoisomerase inhibitors. The ligands $L^5$ and $L^8$ were tested for their anticancer activity against human liver adenocarcinoma (HepG2) cell line with the MTT assay.

In this paper, we discuss a kind of impulsive second-order stochastic evolution systems with state-dependent delay in a real separable Hilbert space. The results concerning the existence and controllability of mild solutions have been addressed. By means of the fixed point techniques, some sufficient conditions are formulated, as well as an application involving partial differential equation with impulses is presented.

Nanomaterials open up enormous opportunities in the areas of industrial waste water treatment andtheir application. Effective removal of toxic heavy metal ions like Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cr(VI) from pharmacywaste-effluent using graphene-oxide(GO) nanosorbents is reported here. Cr and Pb ions are completelyremoved by GO, however Ni ion trace was gradually decreased when GO concentration was increased. The concentration of GO at 70 mg removes all heavy metal ions effectively with the permissible pH of8.00 and very low conductivity of 0.027 dS/m in 100 mL effluent, studied using atomic absorptionspectroscopy. Also the adsorption isotherm models and adsorption kinetics are discussed.

Here, a controlled green synthesis route involving hydrothermal pre-carbonization cum pyrolysis is reported that converts cucumber into graphene-like carbon nanosheets for supercapacitor application. Transmission electron microscopy analysis reveals the formation of ultra-thin carbon nanosheets with distributed pores. This cucumber derived carbon exhibits high specific capacitance of 143 F g−1 in aqueous electrolyte. The two-electrode symmetric cell exhibits a specific capacitance of 58 F g−1 at high current density, and high capacitance retention of 97% after 1000 cycles. This simple low-cost process involving widely available cucumber as biomass precursor is a promising, commercially viable approach for developing high-performance supercapacitors.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the controllability of certain types of second order nonlinear impulsive systems with statedependent delay. Sufficient conditions are formulated and the results are established by using a fixed point approach and the cosine function theory Finally examples are presented to illustrate the theory.
