        Arman Jahed,Farzin Piltan,Saman Namvarrechi,Iman Nazari,Ali Roshanzamir,Nasri B. Sulaiman 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.3

Design a nonlinear controller for second order nonlinear uncertain dynamical systems is one of the most important challenging works. This research focuses on the design, and analysis of a model-reference sliding mode controller for first order delay system, in presence of uncertainties. In order to provide high performance nonlinear methodology, model-reference sliding mode controller is selected. Pure sliding mode controller can be used to control of partly known nonlinear dynamic parameters. Conversely, pure sliding mode controller is used in many applications; it has an important drawback namely; chattering phenomenon. To attenuation the chattering, new filter based high speed control technique is introduced. In this technique, two type derivative techniques are used to improve the rate of delay as well stability, robustness and chattering attenuation. This technique cased to improve the rate of delay compare with conventional PID controller and conventional sliding mode controller.

Evaluation of Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel in 3.5 wt% NaCl Solution by Cerium Nitrate

        Ali Dastgheib,Mohammadreza Mohammadzadeh Attar,Arman Zarebidaki 대한금속·재료학회 2020 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.26 No.11

The effect of cerium nitrate on the corrosion properties of mild steel in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution was investigated via weightloss, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and potentiodynamic polarization methods. Attenuated total reflectanceFourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopywere used to study the corroded surfaces of the specimens at the presence of different concentrations of cerium nitrate. Results demonstrated that the maximum inhibition efficiency of cerium nitrate reached 98.9% in the presence of 750 ppm. The potentiodynamic polarization tests indicated that cerium nitrate acted as a cathodic inhibitor. The results revealed ahigh corrosion inhibition performance of cerium nitrate which is attributed to the formation of a thick film composed of aporous outer layer and a more compact inner layer with a high level of corrosion resistance particularly after 24 h. Surfacefilm analysis confirmed the presence of Ce3+ions incorporated into the protective film.

The effect of carbon fiber length on the microstructure, selected mechanical, wear, and thermal conductivity of Cf/SiC composite fabricated via spark plasma sintering (SPS) method

        Ghasemi Arman,Ramazani Mazaher,Bakhshi Saeed Reza,Al-Khafaji Ali Hussein Demin,Zahabi Saeed,Loghman Estarki Mohammad Reza,Zamani Abbas 한국세라믹학회 2023 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.60 No.4

This research aims to fabricate and develop a composite brake disc made of carbon/silicon carbide. For this purpose, the first silicon carbide nanoparticles were ultrasonicated with alumina sintering aid and carbon fi ber (between 10 and 20%) with different lengths of 3 mm, 10 mm, and 15 mm. Next, the fi nal Cf/SiC composite bulk was made-up via the spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. After that, the effect of different lengths of carbon fiber was explored on the porosity, coefficient of friction, fracture toughness, thermal conductivity, and microhardness of samples. The results showed that the density of sintered samples with a carbon fiber length of 10 mm was higher than that of samples with fiber lengths of 3 and 15 mm. Also, the hardness (25.79 GPa) and fracture toughness (5.72 MPa.m 1/2) of this sample were higher than those of the samples sintered with carbon fiber lengths of 3 and 15 mm. Further, this sample with the maximum density showed a coefficient of friction (COF) of 0.43. Since for aeroplane brake discs, the COF should be between 0.3 and 0.4, and the porosity of sam- ples should range within 3–5%, the samples sintered with the carbon fiber length of 10 mm had the nearby features to the preferred air brake disc indices.

      • Design Single Chip Micro-Based Controller for First Order Delays System

        Saman Namvarrechi,Samira Soltani,Iman Nazari,Ali Roshanzamir,Arman Jahed 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.5

Design a delay free FPGA-based Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller to control of first order delay system is the main objective in this research. In order to provide high performance micro-based controller, FPGA-based PID controller based on design Derivative and Integral algorithm is selected. Conventional PID controller is a stable linear type model-free controller that reduces the delay time in first order delay system. This controller has acceptable performance in presence of uncertainty (e.g., overshoot=0%, rise time=0.8 second, steady state error = 1e-9 and RMS error=1.8e-12). In this research, linear controller need real time mobility operation, and one of the most important devices which can be used to solve this challenge is Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). FPGA can be used to design a controller in a single chip Integrated Circuit (IC). In HDL based derivative algorithm the minimum input arrival time before clock is 16.466 ns and the maximum frequency is 60.73 MHz, but in the best design action, the maximum frequency to design this single chip algorithm should be 63.629 MHz. In HDL integral algorithm the minimum input arrival time before clock is 15.599 ns and the maximum frequency is 64.1 MHz, but in the best design action, the maximum frequency to design this single chip algorithm should be 178.190 MHz.

Mohd Shahrul Suondoh,Wan Azman Wan Sulaiman,Ahmad Sukari Halim,Arman Zaharil Mat Saad,Mohammad Ali Mat Zain,Normala Basiron 대한수부외과학회 2020 대한수부외과학회지 Vol.25 No.3

Purpose: Extensive studies regarding vascular anatomy and clinical applications of anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap has been conducted for many years. However, the ALT flap perforator vessels anatomy in the Malaysian population is not well-analyzed. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of ALT flap perforator vessels and its clinical applications in reconstructive surgery. Methods: This is a retrospective cross-sectional study conducted in two main centers of reconstructive surgery. A total of 142 cases of ALT flaps that used as an option for soft tissue reconstruction was selected. Vascular anatomy of ALT flaps was studied precisely including the origin of vessels, location of perforators, and types of perforator vessels intraoperatively during the flap harvest. Results: The distribution of ALT flap perforator vessels can be found at three specific locations on the thigh namely perforators A, B, and C. The highest number of cutaneous perforator vessels that supplied the ALT flap was musculocutaneous perforator with 72.3%, and dominantly at perforators B and C. The remaining perforator vessels were septocutaneous perforator with 27.7%, presented mainly at perforator A. A majority of cases involved the reconstruction of wound defects following tumor resection and trauma. The most area of reconstruction was the lower limb with 33.8%. Conclusion: The distribution of ALT flap perforator vessels can be predicted during flap harvest and can be applied in numerous clinical applications for wound defect coverage. The knowledge regarding vascular anatomy of ALT flap perforator vessels can aid plastic surgeons in reconstructive surgery.

Improving Environmental Durability of Epoxy Resin Using Tetra-n-butylammonium (TBA) Salt Modified Montmorillonite Nanoplatelets

        Isa Karimzadeh,Mohammad Sabzi,Behrouz Safibonab,Iraj Hasanzadeh,Mojtaba Farhangmehr,Ali Arman 한국고분자학회 2017 폴리머 Vol.41 No.1

This study aimed to investigate the effect of organoclay concentration variation (1-5 wt%) on the weathering resistance of epoxy resin in terms of the strength, modulus and weight changes of the specimens after exposure to accelerated weathering conditions. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed an exfoliated and good dispersed nanofiller structure throughout the matrix up to 3 wt% loading. The tensile strength, modulus, and weight of the samples decreased after combined UV radiation and condensation, with much less extent for the nanocomposites than neat epoxy indicating that the presence of organoclay led to dominant enhancement in mechanical properties endurance of epoxy resin to environmental degradation. Nanocomposites also displayed much lower weight loss as compared to the unfilled epoxy after being subjected to the accelerated weathering by either temperature-humidity or by combined UV radiation and condensation.

Avestan, Zoleikha,Rahmani, Azad,Heshmati-Nabavi, Fatemeh,Mogadasian, Sima,Faghani, Safieh,Azadi, Arman,Esfahani, Ali Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.13

Background: There are several factors that threaten the dignity of cancer patients in hospital settings. However, there is limited literature regarding the degree to which dignity of cancer patients is actually respected in daily clinical practice. The aims of this study were therefore to explore cancer patient perceptions of respecting their dignity and related variables in an Iranian cancer specific center. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was carried out among 250 cancer patients admitted to a cancer specific center in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. These patients were selected using a convenience sampling method. The Patient Dignity Inventory (PDI) was used for data collection. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis. Results: The patients' scores in 18 out of 25 items of PDI were 3 or greater which indicate the importance of considering these items in clinical settings. Also, the score of patients in three sub-scales of PDI including illness-related concerns, personal dignity, and social dignity were 74, 65 and 57, respectively (based on a total 100). The overall score of PDI was statistically associated with age, history of disease recurrence, education, employment and economic status of participants. Conclusions: According to the study findings the dignity of Iranian cancer patients is not completely respected in clinical settings which require special considerations. As nurses spend more time at patients' bedsides, they have an important role in maintaining and promoting dignified care.

Warm Cupping of the Posterior Thorax in Combination with Standard Conventional Therapy for ARDS in COVID-19 Patients in ICU: a Case Series

        Karimi Mehrdad,Kazemi Amir Hooman,Nareswari Irma,Zarei Azadeh,Zargaran Arman,Moravej Seyed Ali Al-hadi,Jazayeri Seyede Ferdos,Nabavian Omid,Ahmadi Seyedeh Aida,Alipour Reihane 사단법인약침학회 2022 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.15 No.3

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is commonly found in critically ill patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). As a non-pharmacological treatment of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), cupping has been clinically used for respiratory symptoms. We sequentially identified a series of patients with COVID-19 with ARDS who were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Warm cupping of the posterior thorax was performed for seven days. We collected longitudinal severity scores on cough, breathlessness, chest tightness, type of oxygen therapy, and oxygen saturation (SpO 2 ). We hereby report the changes in the severity scores in a series of eight patients who received 21 sessions of cupping in addition to conventional treatments. All patients reported improvement in symptom scores that was matched by an increase in SpO 2 by as much as 3.16%. All patients were discharged and did not require the use of a mechanical ventilator. The results suggest that combining cupping with conventional treatment may provide a good prognosis for patients with COVID-19 with ARDS.
