<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Organic-inorganic materials based on porous inorganic materials predesigned hydrophobic multilayer coatings are well-established in the literature, but N-heterocyclic donor to prepare such flower-like structures with chemical bonds has not been reported to date. Here, organic-inorganic hybrid materials prepared by simultaneous coordination-driven assembly of heterocyclic molecules and porous materials are reported. Immersion porous inorganic film with 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) in ethanol solution leads, within a few days, to the formation of flowerlike organic-inorganic materials. Then, the organic layer grows on the inorganic surface, resulting in formation of charge transfer complex (Mgq<SUB>2</SUB> and Alq<SUB>3</SUB>) between N-heterocycles and metal ions (Al<SUP>+3</SUP> and Mg<SUP>2+</SUP>). A spontaneous self-organization of these organic molecules is then triggered to form stable hierarchical N-heterocycles-inorganic materials, resulting from the non-covalent π-π bonds and inter-molecular hydrogen bonds between aromatic molecules. Finally, the electrochemical performance was enhanced in the order PEO-HQ4 (0.1 M 8-HQ for 2 days), PEO-HQ3 (0.05 M 8-HQ for 2 days), PEO-HQ2 (0.1 M 8-HQ for 1 day), PEO-HQ1 (0.05 M 8-HQ for 1 day), and PEO, which was discussed on the basis of polarization interpretation. The results indicate that magnesium film coated with the self-assembled 8-HQ/inorganic materials grown via plasma electrolytic oxidation and dip-chemical coating are corroded several times slower in an aerated NaCl solution as compared to the corrosion rate of bare magnesium.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Flower-like materials prepared by heterocyclic molecules and porous materials. </LI> <LI> Immersion porous inorganic film with solution of 8-hydroxyquinoline leads to the formation of organic-inorganic materials. </LI> <LI> The organic layer grows on the inorganic surface, resulting in formation of charge transfer complex. </LI> <LI> The extraordinary electrochemical stability was enhanced in the presences of heterocycles. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Organometallic complexes of Schiff bases: Recent progress in oxidation catalysis

<P>Schiff bases were versatile compounds synthesized from the condensation of a primary amino compound with aldehydes or ketones and widely used for industrial purposes and also exhibit catalytic oxidation in the oxidation of organic compounds and polymers. Oxidation reactions ( oxidation of alkanes, alcohols, epoxidation of alkenes and sulfoxidation etc.) of organic compounds were the most relevant ones and were reviewed considering the recent advances in the last years. Recent researches of Schiff bases and their complexes in oxidation catalysis had focused on employing metal catalyzed oxidation of organic compounds. This review summarizes the developments in the last decade for oxidation of organic substrates and polymers that proceed through Schiff base complexes. (C) 2016 Elsevier B. V. <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Organic@functional binding agents(FBAs)@inorganic materials are fabricated using two efficient methods. For this purpose, inorganic layer containing organically magnesium aluminate loaded with metal hydroxide, namely (Mg(OH)<SUB>2</SUB> or/and Ni(OH)<SUB>2</SUB>), and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (MBI) were produced on Mg-3%Al-1%Zn alloy via plasma electrolysis (PE) method and then two-step dip chemical coating (DCC) method. The presence of metal hydroxides resulted in a decrease in the porosity and microcracks and an increase in strong bonds between organic and inorganic coating. Thus, it was found that the hybrid 2-mercaptobenzimidazole and metal hydroxides materials act good corrosion inhibitors for magnesium corrosion in aqueous solutions.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The functional binding agents are an efficient tool for functionalizing surfaces. </LI> <LI> We combine plasma analysis and two-step dip chemical coating. </LI> <LI> Complexes with organic chains and these chains grow on binding agent surfaces. </LI> <LI> The hybrid materials extraordinarily suppresses metal oxidation and oxygen reduction. </LI> </UL> </P>

In this paper, we introduce the concept of graded quasi-prime submodules and give some basic results about graded quasi-prime submodules of graded modules. Special attention has been paid, when graded modules are graded multiplication, to find extra properties of these submodules. Furthermore, a topology related to graded quasi-prime submodules is introduced.

In this paper, we consider surfaces in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbb{E}^3$ which are of finite III-type, that is, they are of finite type, in the sense of B.-Y. Chen, corresponding to the third fundamental form. We present an important family of surfaces, namely, tubes in $\mathbb{E}^3$. We show that tubes are of infinite III-type.

Let G be a group with identity e and let R be a G-graded ring. In this paper, we introduce and study graded 2-absorbing primary and graded weakly 2-absorbing primary ideals of a graded ring which are different from 2-absorbing primary and weakly 2-absorbing primary ideals. We give some properties and characterizations of these ideals and their homogeneous components.

<P>The electrochemical roles of electron-donor and-acceptor agents in surface reforming of magnesium alloy were investigated via plasma electrolysis. The surface modification was performed in an aluminate-based electrolyte, having urea and hydrazine with inherent molecular structures, which might act as electron acceptor and donor during plasma assisted electrochemical reaction. The presence of hydrazine working as donor would promote the formation of magnesium aluminates in the-oxide layer, resulting in superior compactness of the oxide:layer to that when urea was used as the working as acceptor since the precipitation of MgCO3 was favored in the electrolyte with urea. The thickness of the oxide layer formed by a combination of urea and hydrazine was higher than urea, while the porosity was higher than hydrazine. The electrochemical performance was enhanced in the order of hydrazine, urea and hydrazine combined, and urea, which was discussed on the basis of impedance interpretation.</P>
