The rapid development of smartphone technologies have resulted in the evolution of mobile botnets. The implications of botnets have inspired attention from the academia and the industry alike, which includes vendors, investors, hackers, and researcher community. Above all, the capability of botnets is uncovered through a wide range of malicious activities, such as distributed denial of service (DDoS), theft of business information, remote access, online or click fraud, phishing, malware distribution, spam emails, and building mobile devices for the illegitimate exchange of information and materials. In this study, we investigate mobile botnet attacks by exploring attack vectors and subsequently present a well-defined thematic taxonomy. By identifying the significant parameters from the taxonomy, we compared the effects of existing mobile botnets on commercial platforms as well as open source mobile operating system platforms. The parameters for review include mobile botnet architecture, platform, target audience, vulnerabilities or loopholes, operational impact, and detection approaches. In relation to our findings, research challenges are then presented in this domain.
The Needs for Collaborative Teaching upon Special Education Students in Inclusive Education Program

It is commonly discovered that mainstream teacher facing difficulty in managing Special Education Students (SES) in the implementation of Inclusive Education Program (IEP). Thus, this concept paper aims to identify and discuss the possible factors and problems that may affect all problems in teaching among mainstream teachers which drives the need for a relevant teaching methodology for the SES within the IEP. These identified problems can be categorized into a few factors. Among them are the pedagogical knowledge, teaching methodology and guidance of the mainstream teachers. Thus, the authors suggested that collaborative teaching should be carried out in order to provide an effective learning environment. In order to perform a collaborative teaching, the requirement of a resource teacher within the program is a must. Hence, this research is conducted to find the needs of resource teacher to executed collaborative teaching with mainstream teacher. It is hoped that the problem is able to be resolved with the existence of resource teacher in IEP. It is found that the implementation of IEP will fully affect if an intensive plan were proposed by the Malaysia Ministry of Education (MOE) and the presence of resource teacher within the program itself.

In this research, an innovative Z-scheme vanadium pentoxide (V 2 O 5 )/graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ) photocatalyst was synthesised using a facile thermal treatment method, and its photodegradation performance and physicochemical properties were evaluated. The heterostructure provided high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area and pore volume, which encouraged charge carrier separation and transfer, as well as supplied abundant micro-mesoporous structures and active sites for photocatalytic redox reactions. The successful incorporation of V 2 O 5 between g-C 3 N 4 layers can be proven by proposing the synthesis mechanism, as well as conducting morphology, crystal structure, elemental, and chemical analysis through scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diff raction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, respectively. Using these combined photocatalysts, ciprofl oxacin (CIP) was successfully degraded up to 90.17% removal effi ciency in the visible-light spectrum. The superior photocatalytic activity of g-C 3 N 4 composite over V 2 O 5 is primarily due to its increased light absorption capacity, as well as increased surface area, pore size, and volume, eff ective charge transfer, and optimal band alignment between g-C 3 N 4 and V 2 O 5 . This research provides a signifi cant future perspective for the utilisation of Z-scheme V 2 O 5 /g-C 3 N 4 heterojunction photocatalyst for water treatment, especially those involving endocrine-disrupting compounds and antibiotics like CIP.

Due to the increasing trend in prices for food and energy products in global markets, subsidy removal and complementary policies have received significant attention in recent years. Critics of subsidy removal express concerns about the potential negative effects on the economy, including impacts on GDP, employment, household welfare, and production sectors. This has led to worries among majority economic policy-making bodies regarding potential social unrest, particularly its impact on low-income households. Therefore, there exists a debate in the literature on the potential impacts of subsidy removal. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the impacts of subsidy removal policies and related subjects using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The main research question is, ‘Do subsidy removal schemes necessarily lead to economic distortions?’ The results indicate that impacts on the economy and household indicators are more explored than the influences on government and industry. The magnitude of these impacts varies depending on the types of subsidies and the extent of subsidy reduction. Considerable attention has been given to the impact of energy subsidy removal in Asian developing countries, while there is a lack of studies on other subsidized products and developed countries. Governments are advised to investigate their unique internal policy dynamics while considering external environments.

The present study aimed to examine thechemical compositions of the essential oils of Beilschmiediamadang and their antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal,anticholinesterase and anti-tyrosinase activities. The majorconstituents of the essential oils of leaf and bark of B. madang were d-cadinene (17.0 and 20.5 %), b-caryophyllene(10.3 and 6.7 %), a-cubebene (11.3 and 15.6 %), anda-cadinol (5.8 and 10.6 %). The essential oils werescreened for their antioxidant activities using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, b-carotene/linoleic acidbleaching, and total phenolic content. The bark oil showedthe highest b-carotene/linoleic acid bleaching(90.3 % ± 0.2) and DPPH radical scavenging (IC50212.0 lg/mL), while the highest phenolic content wasexhibited by the leaf oil (94.5 % ± 0.3 mg GA/g). Theantibacterial and antifungal activities were investigated bythe disc diffusion and micro dilution method. The leaf andbark oils showed moderate activity towards Bacillus subtilisand Staphylococcus aureus with minimum inhibitoryconcentration (MIC) value 125 lg/mL. For antifungalassay, the bark oil showed strong activity towards Aspergillusniger and Aspergillus fumigatus with MIC value62.5 lg/mL. Anticholinesterase and anti-tyrosinase activitieswere evaluated against Ellman method and mushroomtyrosinase, respectively. The results showed that leaf oilgave significant percentage inhibition (I%: acetylcholinesterase55.2 %, butyrylcholinesterase 60.4 %, tyrosinase53.1 %).

Phytochemical investigation from the stem bark of Beilschmiedia pulverulenta resulted in the isolation of five lignans, (+)-yangambin (1), (+)-sesartemin (2), (+)-excelsin (3), (+)-sesamin (4), and (+)-syringaresinol (5), together with lupeol (6), lupenone (7), β-sitosterol (8), and β-sitostenone (9). Their structures were established by the analysis of their spectroscopic (1D and 2D NMR) and spectrometric (MS) data, as well as by comparison with those reported in the literature. The isolated lignans were tested for their anticholinesterase (AChE: acetylcholine esterase and BChE: butyryl cholineesterase) and anti-inflammatory (COX-2: cyclooxygenase-2 and LOX: lipoxygenase) activities. All the isolated lignans (1 - 5) exhibited significant inhibition activities in AChE/BChE and COX-2/LOX assays with IC50 values ranging from 168.8 - 504.2 μM and 21.0 - 59.4 μM, respectively.

The two complete mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) of Paedocypris progenetica, the smallest fish in the world which belonged to the Cyprinidae family, were sequenced and assembled. The circular DNA molecules of mitogenomes P1-P. progenetica and S3-P. progenetica were 16,827 and 16,616 bp in length, respectively, and encoded 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and one control region. The gene arrangements of P. progenetica were identical to those of other Paedocypris species. BLAST and phylogenetic analyses revealed variations in the mitogenome sequences of two Paedocypris species from Perak and Selangor. The circular DNA molecule of P. progenetica yield a standard vertebrate gene arrangement and an overall nucleotide composition of A 33.0%, T 27.2%, C 23.5%, and G 15.5%. The overall AT content of this species was consistent with that of other species in other genera. The negative GC-skew and positive AT-skew of the control region in P. progenetica indicated rich genetic variability and AT nucleotide bias, respectively. The results of this study provide genomic variation information and enhance the understanding of the mitogenome of P. progenetica. They could later deliver highly valuable new insight into data for phylogenetic analysis and population genetics.

This paper deals with the current transport mechanism of solid state photoelectrochemical cells of ITO/TiO2/PVCLiClO4/graphiteas well as the physical properties of a component of a device aecting its performance. The principle of operation and a schematic energylevel diagram for the materials used in the photoelectrochemical cells are presented. The device makes use of ITO lms, TiO2 lms, PVCLiClO4 rectication. TheJscand Voc obtained at 100 mW cm. 2 were 0.95l Acm. 2 and 180 mV, respectively.

One of the most important things to take into consideration when designing human cooperative robot is to make the robot move as smooth as possible during the cooperative task. This is to ensure that human can work with robot with high degree of smoothness that would ensure the task is completed without stress and fatigue to human. Since robot does not know the feeling of human, we need to replicate the human motion characteristic into the robot. In human-human cooperative task normally to achieve good cooperative task, human will use auditory, visual and touch senses among others.

Perovskite LaFeO3 photocatalyst prepared by using sol-gel glucose method was assembled on graphene oxide sheets to produce integrated photocatalyst-adsorbents (IPCA) and investigated as photocatalyst for the degradation of methylene blue under visible light irradiation. The prepared photocatalyst was characterized by FTIR, XRD, FESEM, BET specific surface area measurement, TEM/HRTEM and UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis. The FTIR, FESEM and TEM analysis has suggested that the photocatalyst LaFeO3 has been successfully embedded at the surface of the graphene oxide (GO) sheets due to a strong interaction between the photocatalyst and the adsorbents matrix. Methylene blue degradation shows that IPCA possesses higher photodegradation kinetics compared to bare LaFeO3 photocatalyst. The resultant photocatalyst also possesses magnetic properties which can overcome the difficulty in recollecting and removal of photocatalyst suspension in water after photocatalytic treatment.
