Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of Dong-si acupuncture therapy and General acupuncture therapy for the patients with acute ankle sprain. Methods : This study has been carried out for 60 cases of ankle sprain patients who have visited Dong-Seo Oriental medical Hospital from May 1, 2002 to September 30, 2002. We have treated 30 cases of them by Dong-si acupuncture therapy and the other 30 cases by General acupuncture therapy. And we have compared those two group. Results : 1. There was no significant difference at the treatment period and the number of treatment times in comparing two groups. 2. The number of treatment times for good effect is that : Dong-si took $1.57{\pm}0.85$ times and General acupuncture therapy took $2.15{\pm}0.96$ times. And we have found that the effect of Dong-si acupuncture therapy is faster than the other.

Objective : The aim of this research was to investigate the depressive effect of depletion of B15(心兪), B23(腎兪), L5(尺澤), B40(委中) in hypertentive stroke patients. Methods : Depletion on B15(心兪), B23(腎兪), L5(尺澤), B40(委中) in hypertentive stroke patient who were admitted in Dong-Seo Oriental Medical Hospital every other day form 4 weeks, without western antihypertensive drug. Results : After treatment in 2nd week, depletion on B15(心兪), B23(腎兪), L5(尺澤), B40(委中) without western antihypertensive drug increased the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. After treatment in 4th week, depletion on B15(心兪), B23(腎兪), L5(尺澤), B40(委中) without western antihypertensive drug decreased the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. After treatment in 4th week, values of RBC and hemoglobine were not significantly changed. Conclusions : Continous depletion on B15(心兪), B23(腎兪), L5(尺澤), B40(委中) in hypertentive stroke patient without western antihypertensive drug implies decreasement of blood pressure, without change of values of RBC and hemoglobine.
족관절 염좌 환자에 대한 동씨침법(董氏鍼法) 시술시 동기요법(動氣療法) 효과에 대한 연구

Objectives : The purpose of study is to compare the effects of acupuncture therapy and acupuncture with Dong-Qi therapy for the patients with ankle sprain. Methods : This study has been carried out for 67 cases of ankle sprain patients who have visited Dong-Seo Oriental Medical Hospital from March 30, 2004 to October 12, 2002. 67 patients were randomized into two groups. We have treated 34 cases(sample group) of them by acupuncture therapy and the other 33 cases(control group) by acupuncture with Dong-Qi therapy. We have confirmed VAS 10 degree before treatment and checked VAS after treatment. We have compared those two group. Results & Conclusion : 1. Sample group : The VAS mean is $6.47{\pm}0.24$ after treatment. 2. Control : The VAS mean is $4.3{\pm}0.256$ alter treatment. The conclusion of this study was that The Dong-Qi Acupuncture Therapy is more effective than The Acupuncture Therapy without Dong-Qi for the Patient with Ankle Sprain.

This paper presents the vibration characteristic of interior type permanent magnet (IPM) motor according to rotor design. In the design methods, the optimal notchs are put on the rotor pole face, which have an effect on variation of permanent magnet (PM) shape or residual nux density of PM. Through the space harmonics field analysis, the positions of notch are found and the optimal shapes of notch are decided by using Finite Element Method (FEM). The validity of the proposed method is confirmed with experiments. Therefore, the vibration, starting current and efficiency of IPM is measured by experiment.
