Many trials have been done to fabricate high-quality electron-emitters from nano-composite carbon materials (such as nano-diamond, carbon nano tubes and others) by means of a variety of plasma chemical-vapor-deposition (CVD) techniques. Based upon the mechanism of electron emission, we have proposed several strategic guide lines for the fabrication of good emitters. Then, following these lines, several types of emitters were tried. One of the emitters has shown a worldclass, top ranking for fabricating very bright lamps: namely, a low turn-on voltage (0.5 1 V/µm to induce 10 µA/cm2 emission current) to emit a 1 mA/cm2 current at 3 V/µm and 100 mA/cm2 current at a slightly higher applied voltage. The bright lamps are Mercury-free fluorescence lamps to exhibit brightness of 105 cd/m2 with high eciency of 100 lm/w.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>In this paper we study the sequence <SUB>(<SUB>ci</SUB>)0≤i≤d</SUB> for a distance-regular graph. In particular we show that if d≥2j and <SUB>cj</SUB>>1 then <SUB>c2j−1</SUB>><SUB>cj</SUB> holds. Using this we give improvements on diameter bounds by A. Hiraki, J.H. Koolen [An improvement of the Ivanov bound, Ann. Comb. 2 (2) (1998) 131–135], and L. Pyber [A bound for the diameter of distance-regular graphs, Combinatorica 19 (4) (1999) 549–553], respectively, by applying this inequality.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>In this paper, we consider the class of Delsarte clique graphs, i.e. the class of distance-regular graphs with the property that each edge lies in a constant number of Delsarte cliques. There are many examples of Delsarte clique graphs such as the Hamming graphs, the Johnson graphs and the Grassmann graphs.</P><P>Our main result is that, under mild conditions, for given s≥2 there are finitely many Delsarte clique graphs which contain Delsarte cliques with size s+1. Further we classify the Delsarte clique graphs with small s.</P>

This paper presents an improved three-phase PFC power rectifier with a three-phase diode rectifier cascaded four-switch boost converter. Its operating principle contains the operating principle of two conventional three-phase PFC power rectifiers: one switch boost converter type and a two switch boost converter type. The operating characteristics of the four switch boost converter type three-phase PFC power rectifier are evaluated from a practical point of view, being compared with one switch boost converter type and two switch boost converter topologies.

Ga-doped zinc-oxide (GZO) films grown under various Ga/Zn supply ratios were carefully characterized by using Hall measurements and optical transmittance measurements to investigate the electrical and the optical properties of the GZO films on glass, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polycarbonate (PC) substrates. The resistivity of the GZO films grown at 290 ℃ on glass substrates ranged from 4 × 10-2 cm to 3 × 10-4 cm for Ga/Zn supply ratios from 0 % to 0.5 %. The growth of the GZO films at a low temperature of 90 ℃ was also performed on glass, PET, and PC substrates. When the Ga/Zn supply ratios were 0.05 - 0.1 %, the 90 ℃-grown GZO films on glass substrates showed resistivities similar to those of 290 ℃-grown GZO films. The 90 ℃-grown GZO films on PET and PC substrates showed resistivities of 1 × 10-3 cm and 4 × 10-4 cm, respectively. The Hall carrier density was 8 × 1020 cm-3, which was almost the same value as that of the 90 ℃-grown GZO films on glass substrates. The GZO films on PET and PC substrates also showed visible transparency as good as that of the GZO films on glass substrates, and the average transmittance in the visible region was higher than 85 %.
