Syphilis is a communicahble disease caused by the motile microaerophilic spirochete Treponema pallidum, which is only a netural pathogen for human. Prevalence of syphilis and other sexually transmitted diseases has traditioially fluctuated with changes in sccia, conditions and sexual behavior. Although sexual contact is the main route of transmission, T. pallidum may also be infected through direct contact with syphilitic lesions, blood transfusion, ingestion of menstrual blood or vaginal secretions, or trsnsplacental transemission. Fomites as the means of transfer is only hypothetical and account for very few, if any, infection. Prosectors, blood handlers and laboratory technicians are at risk for accidental inoculation with infected materials. In extremely unusual circumstances, infection by means of contact with a skin lesion and human bite have been reported. We report two cases of eyphilis following the abnormal imposition of hands, which caused unnecessary erosive trauma with fingernails, (Kor J Dermatol 1994; 32(3): 542-546)

Erythropoietic protoporphyria, sometimes also called erythrohepitic protoporphyria or simple protoporphyria, is a heritable detect of heme synthesis in which the last enzyme of the heme synthetic pathway, ferrochelatase(or heme synthetase), is functioning subopt,imally. A 23-year-old male has experi nced erythema and edema on the fae and hands during or immediately after sun exposure, since 3 years of age. The skin lesions have been accompanied by severe itching, a buring sensation and pain. Severe episodes were followed hy head iche and vomiting. We have seen a case of erythropoietic protoporphyria presenting clinically and histo athologically, wit.h a skin lesion on the sun exposured area, and free erthrocyte protoporphyrin serologically. 광산란방식을 이용한 미세먼지 실시간 모니터링 장치 개발 및 성능평가

In this study, we have developed a real-time monitoring device for measuring PM10 and PM2.5 of ambient aerosol particles. The real-time PM monitor (SENTRY Dust Monitor) uses the optical scattering method and has 16 channels in particle size. The laboratory and field tests were carried out to evaluate the developed SENTRY Dust Monitor. Arizona Test Dust particles were used as test particles in the laboratory test and the field test was carried out at the Jongno-gu Observatory in Seoul. The measurements of PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations obtained by SENTTRY Dust Monitor were compared with Grimm Dust Monitor (Model 1.108) and a beta ray gauge. It was shown that the PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations obtained by SENTRY Dust Monitor agree well with that of the reference devices. Based on the results obtained in this study, it could be concluded that the SENTRY Dust Monitor can be used as a PM monitoring device for real-time monitoring of the ambient aerosols.
광산란 계측기의 미세먼지 측정 정확도 향상을 위한 수분제거 전처리 기술 개발

IIn this study, we have developed drying systems for reducing the error by humidity on measuring particulate matter (PM) in the ambient air with optical particle measuring instruments. Two types of drying systems were designed: drying systems using heating and dilution methods. In addition, 3 types of drying systems using a heating method were designed: Type A (1 hole), B (3 holes) and C (7 holes). After making them, the laboratory and field tests were carried out to evaluate the developed drying systems. As a result, it was shown that the PM concentrations obtained by PM monitoring devices with drying systems agree well with that of the reference devices. Therefore, it could be concluded that the drying systems can be applied to PM monitoring devices for real-time monitoring of the ambient aerosols.

본 연구에서는 흡입독성평가 시험시 시험동물인 mouse에 노출되도록 균일한 농도와 동일 유량이 정확하고 일정하고 빠르게 각 노출port에 도달되도록 멀티채널 노출챔버를 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 확립하기 위해 수행되었다. 기존의 문제점을 검토하여 노출챔버를 설계제작하고, 시험자의 편의성 및 시험결과의 안전성 및 신뢰성 확보를 위한 발생입자의 유량배분 및 균일 입경분포 특성 등의 성능평가를 수행한 결과로써 대체로 흡입독성평가에 적합함을 확인할 수 있었다.

본 연구에서는 악취센서의 출력값이 불안정한 온습도 조건을 가진 악취가스를 적정한 온습도로 전처리한 후, 센서출력값의 성능성능에 대한 평가를 파악하고자 수행하였다. 실험결과 전처리 전에는 불안정하던 악취센서의 출력값이 전처리 후에는 안정적인 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, 악취가스 센서로 측정시 저온 및 고습환경을 고려하여 보다 정확한 전처리 시스템을 개발한다면, 보다 정확한 악취 측정이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

CTI는 급속하게 부상하는 멀티미디어 통신 응용의 한 분야이다. 특히, 콜 센터는 고객의 지원과 전화를 통한 텔레 마케팅을 지원하기 위한 CTI의 가장 인기 있는 응용이다. 1990년대 중반부터 CTI의 응용은 개인 컴퓨터와 인터넷의 성장으로 인기가 있으며, 빠른 속도로 확산되고 있는 추세이다. 이 논문에서는 CTI의 개념 및 표준화 기관에서 발표하고 있는 관련 표준안 들을 조사한다. 또한 CTI 상에서 멀티미디어 응용을 분류하고, 이 응용들을 위한 구현 방안을 제시한다. Computer Telephony Integration(CTI) is one of the major emerging multimedia communications applications. Especially. the call center is one of most popular applications of CTI for customer support and telemarketing via the telephone. Recently. CTI applications have become more popular and widespread with the rapid and deep penetration of personal computers and the dramatic growth of the Internet since the mid-1990s. This article gives concept of CTI and outlines related standards that have been developed by standardization organizations. It also classifies multimedia communications applications and proposes implementation methodology of the applications over CTI.
Propofol과 Remifentanil을 이용한 목표농도조절 주입 전정맥마취에서 이중관 기관내관 삽관 시 혈역학적 반응을 억제하는 Remifentanil의 효과처 농도

Background: This study was undertaken to determine the effect-site concentration of remifentanil for blunting hemodynamic responses to double lumen endobronchial intubation during target controlled infusion (TCI)-total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) using 4.0 μg/ml of propofol with remifentanil. Methods: Sixty patients (American society of anesthesiologists physical status classification 1 or 2) were randomly allocated according to the target effect-site concentration of remifentanil (R3.0: remifentanil 3.0 ng/ml; R3.5: remifentanil 3.5 ng/ml; R4.0: remifentanil 4.0 ng/ml). The effect-site concentration of propofol at loss of consciousness was recorded. Mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR) and bispectral index (BIS) were recorded at just before remifentanil administration (baseline), at the time of target effect site concentration of remifentanil and propofol, at just before intubation and 1, 2, 3 min after intubation. Results: MAP was significantly increased compared with baseline at 1, 2 min after intubation in R3.0, but was significantly decreased in R4.0. MAP of R3.5 was not different from the baseline after intubation. HR was significantly decreased compared with baseline at the time of target effect site concentration of propofol and immediate before intubation in R3.5 and R4.0. After intubation, HR was significantly increased compared with baseline at only 1 min after intubation and returned to the baseline in R3.0. However, HR was continuously decreased in R4.0. Conclusions: These findings suggest that effective target effect-site concentration of remifentanil for blunting hemodynamic responses to double lumen endotracheal intubation was 3.5 ng/ml during TCI-TIVA using 4.0 μg/ml of propofol with remifentanil. 본 논문에서는 PC환경에 적합한 원격 프로시듀어 호출(Remote Procedure Call)을 설계하였다. 컴퓨터들을 분산 환경 시스템에 통합시키는 원격 프로시듀어 호출은 크게 homogeneous RPC 시스템 구조와 heterogeneous RPC 시스템 구조로 나뉘어진다. 본 논문에서는 homogeneous RPC 시스템 환경에서 Resilient Distributed Systems을 위한 Atomic RPC를 설계 한다. 본 논문에서의 RPC 메카니즘은 atomic action을 수행하기 위한 복구와 동시성 제어 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 시맨틱으로 at-most-once-call을 사용하였다. Homogeneous RPC의 구조에는 stub와 communication package가 있는데, communication package를 커널 내에 구현함으로써 사용자 레벨 코드에서 구현된 RPC와 성능 비교하였다.
