Hirtodrosophila 아속 초파리 5종간의 유전적 유연관계

The genetic relationships among the five species of the subgenus Hitrodrosophila, D. sexvittata, D. trilineata, D. alboralis, D. histrioides and D. nokogiri were investigated by isozyme and soluble proteins. The 15 loci were detected electrophoretically in the 10 isozymes. The five loci, Aph-1, α-Gpdh, Mdh-2, Odh, and Sdh were monomorphic in all species, and specially Mdh-2 was same allele. As for the genetic relationship based on the results from the isozyme analysis, D. sexvittata and D. trilineata were found to have the most close genetic relationship (S=0.634), and the relationship between D. nokogiri and D. trilineata showed the farthest (S=0.307). The average genetic similarity among the five species was found to be 0.818. The soluble protein patterns of D. sexvittata and D. trilineata by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were similar. The difference of protein pattern among the other 3 species were confirmed. The genetic distance of five species was calculated by means of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. The genetic distance between D. sexvittata and D. trilineata was 0.1139, the lowest of all, between D. trilineata and D. histrioides, 0.1883, between D. nokogiri and D. sexvittata, 0.4978, the highest of all. The dendrograms established by isozyme and soluble protein analysis had same patterns. Clustered patterns as follows; first, D. sexvittata and D. trilineata were clustered, and D. histrioides, D. alboralis and D. nokogiri followed the first one in order.

A sea cucumber was collected from Gonghyeonjin in the East Sea of Korea at a depth of 50 m on 22 June 2011 and was identified as Psolus phantapus (Strussenfelt, 1765). This species belongs to the family Psolidae of the order Dendrochirotida based on morphological characteristics and mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I sequence analysis. Psolus phantapus, which widely distributes in the Arctic and North Atlantic Oceans, is newly recorded in the Korean fauna. Two Psolus species including the previously reported P. squamatus are recorded in the East Sea of Korea.

Drosophilid flies were collected by the methods of fruit trap and sweeping net from 1969 through 1975 at four different mountains of Korean panisular. 1) Eight genera including 61 species of Drosophilidae were recognized in these survey. During the period of collection, Drosophilid flies were recognized at each mountain as follows; 4 genera, 31 species and 10417 specimens at Mt. Hanla. 4 genera, 22 species and 6537 specimens at Mt. Palkong. 7 genera, 24 species and 4677 specimens at Mt. Unak. 7 genera, 53 species and 9492 specimens at Mt. Sulak. Newly recorded species of Drosophilidae from the results of these survey were as follows; 3 genera, 5 species and 275 specimens at Mt. Hanla. 3 genera, 9 species and 1220 specimens at Mt. Palkong. 7 genera, 24 species and 4677 specimens at Mt. Unak. 3 genera, 8 species and 312 specimens at Mt. Sulak. 1) Altitudinal distribution of Drosophilid flies were analysed at two areas of Mts. Sulak and Hanla. The number of flies decreased at higher altitude, and there were very scarce frequency over 1500m in altitude. However, most flies of S. graminum and D. bifasciata were collected at higher altitude in the season of mid-summer. On the contrary, some species of Drosophilidae, such as D. melanogaster, D. bizonata, D. immigrans and D. lutea showed 1:1 ratio in their sexes. From the results of these survey, the frequency of male flies of D. suzukii express higher than that of opposite sex at low altitude, but ratio showed the same at high in altitude. Some species of Drosophilidae (D. angularis, D. bizonata) collected at field mushroom were not recognized in their 1:1 sex ratio measured from the Chi-spuere fomular. Reason to the factors of these unbalanced ratio of sexes in the natural fields were not known.

Echinoids were collected at depths of 5-10 m in Munseom, Jeju Island by SCUBA diving on November 23,2008 and September 15, 2009. Two specimens were identified as Echinometra mathaei (Blainville, 1825)based on morphological characteristics and molecular analyses of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I partial sequences. Echinometra mathaei collected from Korea was redescribed with photographs and was compared with other species from GenBank based on molecular data. Phylogenetic analyses showed that no significant differences were between base sequences of E. mathaei from Korea and that from GenBank. To date, 13 echinoids including this species have been reported from Jeju Island, and 32 echinoids have been recorded in Korea.

We report adult-onset sleep terrors in a patient with idiopathic Parkinson's disease. A 42-year-old woman presented with abnormal behaviors during sleep. Neurologic examination revealed mild hypomimia, resting tremor and bradykinesia in her right upper limb indicating early Parkinson's disease. An episode would consist of sitting up in bed, screaming, then clapping her hands and more talking, shouting, screaming, and appearing frightened. Polysomnography documented 2 episodes of parasomnia which occurred in slow wave sleep indicating sleep terrors.
A New Record of Sea Urchin (Echinoidea: Stomopneustoida: Glyptocidaridae)from the Yellow Sea, Korea

Sea urchins were collected from waters adjacent to Daludo Island and Mohang harbor in the Yellow Sea, and were identified into Glyptocidaris crenularis A. Agassiz, 1864, of the family Stomopneustidae within the order Stomopneustoida, based on morphological characteristics. This species has two unique morphological characteristics: the ambulacral plate is composed of three primary plates and two demi-plates, and a valve of globiferous pedicellaria consists of with a well-developed long terminal hook and a unique stalk equipped with one to six long lateral processes covering membranes, resembling fins. It is newly recorded in Korea and is described with photographs. This brings the total number of sea urchins reported from the Yellow Sea,Korea, to seven.
