유전율 및 투자율에 따른 인공자계도체 특성 및 다이폴 안테나 간 상관관계 분석

In this paper, we theoretically examine the characteristics of an Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) constructed of a perfect electric conductor and a normal material having permittivity ε<sub>r</sub>, permeability μ<sub>r</sub>, and thickness L. First, we derived rigorous equations to describe the infinite AMC structure. Then, we studied how the AMC's characteristics are affected by changes in ε<sub>r</sub>, μ<sub>r</sub> and L. The operating center frequency exhibiting a 0° reflection coefficient phase occurs when L is one quarter of a guide wavelength. Therefore, the AMC thickness can be reduced by using a material having a high product of ε<sub>r</sub> and μ<sub>r</sub>. As the ratio μ<sub>r</sub>/ε<sub>r</sub> increases, the bandwidth of the AMC increases (maximum value: 200 %), and its operating frequency decreases. We also find out he bandwidth of the AMC is improved by introducing a loss in the material. To validate the AMC, we design a dipole antenna on the AMC and demonstrate a relationship between AMC phase and dipole antenna's operating frequency by investigating the dipole on the AMC with different pairs of ε<sub>r</sub> and μ<sub>r</sub>. 이 논문에서는 도체 위 물질의 유전율 투자율에 따른 인공자계도체 특성을 이론적으로 고찰하고 이 인공자계도체 위에 다이폴 안테나화의 상관관계를 규명했다. 먼저 도체 위 물질이 인공자계도체로 동작하는 주파수 및 대역폭을 수식으로 유도하고, 이를 통해 유전율(ε<sub>r</sub>), 투자율(μ<sub>r</sub>), 그리고 물질 두께(L)가 인공자계도체의 특성에 어떤 영향이 있는지 분석했다. 물질 두께가 λ/4가 되는 주파수에서 반사계수 위상이 0°이 되므로 높은 유전율과 투자율을 가지는 물질로 인공자계도체 설계 시 두께를 줄일 수 있고, 'μ<sub>r</sub>/ε<sub>r</sub>' 값이 커질수록 인공자계도체 동작 대역폭은 증가(최대 200%)하며, 동작 주파수는 낮아지는 것을 밝혀냈다. 또한 물질의 손실이 존재하면 인공자계도체의 대역폭이 증가하는 것을 확인했다. 인공자계도체 위에 다이폴 안테나를 설계하고 유전율과 투자율을 변경하면서 인공자계도체 표면 반사 위상과 다이폴 안테나의 동작 주파수를 관계를 시뮬레이션을 통해 규명하였다.
다공질 공기 베어링을 적용한 반도체 웨이퍼 연마용 스핀들 개발

Because of their cleanliness, low friction, and high stiffness, aerostatic bearings are used in numerous applications. Aerostic bearings that use porous materials as means of flow restriction have higher stiffness than other types of bearings and have been successfully applied as guide bearings, which have high motion accuracy requirements. However, the performances of porous bearings exhibit strong nonlinearity and can vary considerably depending on design parameters. Therefore, accurate prediction of the performance characteristics of porous bearings is necessary or their successful application. This study presents a porous bearing design and performance analysis for a spindle used in wafer polishing. The Reynolds and Darcy flow equations are solved to calculate the pressures in the lubrication film and porous busing, respectively. To verify the validity of the proposed analytical model, the calculated pressure distribution in the designed bearing is compared with that derived from previous research. Additional parametric studies are performed to determine the optimal design parameters. Analytical results show that optimal design parameters that obtain the maximum stiffness can be derived. In addition, the results show that cross-coupled stiffness increases with rotating speed. Thus, issues related to stability should be investigated at the design stage.
잡음전력비를 이용한 온-웨이퍼형 DUT의 잡음상관행렬 측정

In this paper, we propose a method for defining the input termination for on-wafer-type device under test (DUT) measurement. Using the newly defined input termination and noise wave correlation matrix (NWCM) measurement method based on noise power ratio, the NWCM of the on-wafer-type DUT was measured. We demonstrate a noise measurement configuration that includes wafer probes and bias tees to measure the on-wafer DUT. The S-parameter of the adapter that combines the bias tee, probe, and a line terminated by open is required to define the input termination for on-wafer DUT measurement. To measure the S-parameter of the adapter, a 2-port S-parameter measurement method using 1-port measurement is introduced. Using the measured S-parameters, a method for defining the new input termination for on-wafer-type DUT measurement is applied. The proposed method involves the measurement of the NWCM of the chip with a 1.5 dB noise figure. The noise parameters of the chip were obtained using the measured NWCM. The results indicate that the obtained values of the noise parameters are similar to those mentioned on a datasheet for the chip. In addition, repeated measurements yielded similar results, thereby confirming the reliability of the measurements.
다성적 주제범위 맵핑 연구: 학제간 질적 연구자를 위한 이해와 활용

Leading international journals have recently published the literature reviews that belong to multivocal mapping studies (MMS). In response to post-modern critiques, the MMS technique is useful for qualitative literature reviewers who attempt to synthesize published ‘white’ sources and non-published ‘gray’ literature. It classifies interdisciplinary knowledge in a ‘mapping’ method by retrieving broad evidence in an applied setting. However, across the Korean academic papers for the practitioner-oriented review, mapping studies in the form of ‘multivocality’ using white literature and gray literature are hardly seen. This study aims to understand MMS and explain how to apply the method to the arena of literature reviews. To this end, MMS-related information was collected from 18 international and domestic articles published in 1991-2021 to answer: why MMS has emerged?; what the technique is?; how the new approach is applied to literature studies?; which skills differ from other literature research in searching resources and representing knowledge?; and on what the underlying guidelines are based? Thereby what advantages and disadvantages the reviewers, learners, and journal readers in the disciplinary field may earn from the outcomes of MMS? This paper sets out for qualitative scholars in practical disciplines and the industry-academic areas where they can apply the MMS procedure for their literature studies. As such, this work may be helpful for not only the interdisciplinary professionals utilizing multivocal literature but also the practice-based researchers seeking an alternative review approach to reveal complex and unknown issues, such as COVID-19's impacts on the real-world situation.
